  1. Nice! Good score
  2. There were 24 of us at the Legion photo in TFA armor (it's better to say TFA than cite a potential mfg). When they asked us to take our buckets off aside from myself (who was using fabric gaskets), only 2 others could. So, 10% could put their lids on/off by themselves.
  3. Yeah, I'm just eating popcorn reading. There is a lot of mis-information being bandied about on this thread. ::munch:: ::munch::
  4. Let's move concerns over licensing to a new topic, esp for OT TK's, and keep this on track for the E7 TK.
  5. A poor choice of words on my part to say "the Chosen". I will endeavor to be more precise next time. Please disregard that comment.
  6. The armor has a lot of clip points, so I can see an easy way to add attachments. Note, the blaster is a mirror of the E-11, so for L2/L3 you sure shouldn't be able to use your current blaster. The stock should fold out though, and there is a mag light in the front with a button on the left and an activator stud where your left thumb would rest.
  7. Would you be able to reverse the clip and counter? On the TFA blasters, it's mirrored to what we have in ANH, and they are on the right, not left. I'm going to need something to troop with when I get back from C7.
  8. I don't know about those "chosen" for the stage, but for myself and others there are no special shoes nor blasters. My understanding is that the blasters used by the "chosen" are Disney property, and they are to be returned.
  9. Haven't tried yet, but it seems you can remove the butt plate pretty easily and sit.
  10. BTW, I trooped about 90 minutes in the suit yesterday, and nearly 4.5 hours straight today. I have a few issues that can be fixed with better strapping, but otherwise the suit for me at least was more comfortable than a regular TK. The helmet has more visibility front/peripheral but you lose being able to see out of the "teeth", which is harder around kids. It will really benefit from a fan.
  11. I spoke with AVONOS about the blasters and it seems they were a long way from offering one. They gave me one to use for a commercial shoot (as I was toking my SE-14R), and when I asked if I could use it for the weekend they said no way, and I had to give it back right away. Apparently they cannot let the ones they have out of their site. The blaster looks nice and will have some cool features like a spot light, but LFL got the grip wrong. It is way too short for an adult male hand and I was given to understand that when they designed the blaster in their 3d program, they just did it for looks and alas, we'll have to suffer with a pistol grip that is kid size.
  12. Wore the armor today but still need to dial it in. Are there any peeps here in Anaheim who has extra Velcro, strapping, or snap plates I can buy off them?
  13. Well, if I were in the market for a new suit I'd give it a go. The price is crazy good and I'd be shocked if it can't be made 501st approvable.
  14. Wow, I paid $1200 to CostumeJunkie back in 2005 for an FX kit and completed helmet. This seems a good price. Note, you may still need to do modding though. Based on their sizing, I'm an XL arm but a M waist. What size would you order, for instance?
  15. Link? I could not find it on Youtube.
  16. Welcome, and nicely done
  17. Great work! One of the better ones, for sure.
  18. I'm in at slot 0. Of course I'm there
  19. I'm 6'0" and have used RT shins for all my TE2/ATA suits. That was my solution.
  20. Nice! Great to here the TM & original brackets are holding up so well.
  21. First it was FX. Then FX with an AP helmet (which was one awesome suit! - did the Rose Parade in it). Then TE2. Then TE2 again. Now ATA. The TE2 was my favorite, but being HIPS instead of ABS it got some tears along some seams after a lot of use.
  22. Love all the attention to detail.
  23. Looking good! The tab on the butt droops a wee bit, but otherwise you are awesome. Hope to see you at a troop some day.
