  1. Maybe on the next patch to the mini mag launcher? It's distinctive to the HWT, whereas the Lewis Gun is not.
  2. LOL - basically what I did. I figure if Mr. Lucas just lumped them in to do what he needed to make it look "cool", I would too. If you are a sandy though it's always good to have 2 pauldrons, this way you can mix/match with your garrison mates at a troop and it's not like you have all black, all orange, etc.
  3. Hopefully you had a great trip.
  4. Wow, this is a fantastic thread. I'm loving all the pix as you progress.
  5. OK, I sent them an email today (yeah, I'm behind on personal stuff). Will keep everyone apprised of the response.
  6. Progress pix would be great to see
  7. If it's cold, wear warm gloves. I trooped in the cold rain and the worst part was my hands freezing. Armor came out just fine...
  8. Pix are the same from JediRobe, if I'm not mistaken.
  9. Updated topic title to be more specific.
  10. Saw that - thanks for posting. Yeah, here is the exact quote. I guess that's why there is a love/hate of the iTrooper. If you like Apple, you like the iTrooper. If not, maybe not so much. I wonder what a DroidĀ™ Trooper would look like, or a WinTrooper?
  11. Pix Col. Robinson? It would be great to see how you have them together.
  12. Even cheap daycare (the kind you don't want your child to go to) is $1000/month, easily. Many couples are finding it less expensive to get an au pair if they have multiple kids. But, you Europeans pay more in taxes. That is what most Americans seem to miss. Yes, in Europe (and Canada for instance) you pay way more in taxes, but you get more benefits too. In any event, the end take home pay is probably the same, so the joke is on us. The other major difference is that the US tax laws are really heavily favored for the wealthy. EU seems to be nicer to the middle class. But, that's a different topic, and not one that belongs on FISD.
  13. Get kids. I used to pay $3200/month in daycare.
  14. I can't wait to see pix. Pix Col. Robinson, svp.
  15. Er, you are asking the wrong group. Everyone here will nod their head. You think beer or armor is expensive? Try golf. Or, ask someone with a boat. Or a private pilot's license.
  16. +1. No worries. It will all work out at some point. You're doing just fine.
  17. Not that I can think of. It was in a helmet bag, in a car. Unless the car got overly hot? I'm guessing the helmets just didn't have enough time to cure maybe? There was still a lot of out-gassing when we received them. Or, again, maybe I just got one that was weaker than the rest, e.g. my comment about "bad glue"? It happens some times in manufacturing. I'd rather hope I just got the one bad one of the lot than there is a greater concern. In any event, I'm going to see out a hard case for the helmet, rather than using my regular helmet bag. Here are some photos... -------------
  18. I will reach out to them today for sure, however my other question is a fair one for this group.
  19. has anyone else had problems with their helmets coming apart?" After coming back from Anaheim, all seemed OK but when it was taken out of its helmet bag the other day the helmet just disassembled. The front "bill" came off and the little tabs under the outsides of the eyes flared out. It took a lot of work to re-assembled the face, but it's not quite right still. Be careful with your buckets guys - they are not overly solid and the face plate may need a lot longer to properly cure, or else maybe mine just has a "bad glue job". Will they replace these under warranty of any kind? Just wondering if ANOVOS will honor replacements.
  20. Try this one - http://1drv.ms/1ERjS9z
  21. Nice - great to hear good news
  22. Has anyone else had their helmet break? Mine came apart and it took a big effort to get it assembled again. Not sure if I'm the only one, or did others have the same problem? I'll post a close-up tomorrow to show how it wasn't quite able to be re-assembled the way it was ma----------------
  23. Double post - I forgot to ask - does anyone have a good screen cap showing them not being seamless?
  24. Yeah, I think we were all understood these to be seamless.
