1. I think the flame thrower armor is different enough from the base NO TK that SpecOps may indeed be the place for it...my $.02...
2. I think flat lenses should be ok to base crl...
3. I think the variations with just the pauldron or tak vest will just that, optional accessories. No need for a different crl.

I hope the NO TKs stay on FISD, they are stormtroopers after all.
4. So, the first 100 or so helmets had bad curing and I know I cut a ticket with them months ago, but have not heard a thing in the past 60 days. Has anyone gotten a replacement helmet yet?
5. * There is a formatting error on the Thermal Detonator - shows {{{3}}} * Forearms - what is a picatinny? Otherwise, the only thing missing is pictures. I'm sure once we have a dozen or so applicants, we'll see what is missing & needs to be clarified. Can't wait to get mine submitted next month.
6. BTW, who is the CRL model? I'm shocked, shocked there is not one yet.
7. Well, a lot of thing on the OT TK's weren't screen accurate for years and were 501st acceptable. There has to be a balance here, and some common sense. I'd agree that while Francois boots are great (and I have a pair), regular TK boots should be acceptable for now. I mean, all CRL's evolve over time as more accurate parts become avaavailable, just like the OT TK.
8. Truth on that.
9. I'm just going to use my regular underarmor for now, I really don't want those gaskets on my bare skin.
10. Sorry for not posting earlier - work has had me slammed with a new boss the past 2 months plus having to make a trip to China with limited internet access. Here are my thoughts to far - overall it's a fantastic start. Helmet * Lenses - do we have any evidence of non-bubble lenses? Just wondering why that is there. * For the clasp greeblies on the top of the helmet, we should provide guideance on approximately where they are. * Should you mention the line that is on the front of the bill? Chest Plate * For the second bullet, how about "The horizontal depression in the upper center of the chest plate can be cut out (L2?), or the cutout effect can be replicated with black marking. * 3rd bullet: how about "clasp greeblie" to make it more specific. * 4th bullet: should mention that the six black ovals be cut out or replicated, and also about how big they are, and how far from the right greeblie they are. * Add a note about the vertical lines along the outside flares of the chest plate. Back/yoke * "The yoke portion extends over the wearer's shoulders and curves under" is an incomplete sentence, under what? Detonator * "Lefthand end cap sits proud of the detonator assembly and has a black stripe" What does sit proud mean? * Last bullet: Simply say "there should be no visible seams". Gaskets * Should you specify about how wide they should be? * Maybe specifiy latex or rubber for L2/L3? Shoulder bells * Any guidance on how far the under lip extends out? Or is it more proportional to the wearer? Bicep * See if we can have a rotation of the 2 black ovals, else it will be hard for a GML to judge. Forearms * Suggest one shot at an angle so GML's can see Gloves * Do you need to say that the white is made of leather or leather like material? Just in case someone tries to paint them... Ab section * Why "not be seamless"? When we look at screen caps, they look that way. And, when we looked at the "screen used suits", they were made that way. * You should include that the black areas are cutout, or painted black. Belt * Suggest you rotate the picture horizontally * 2nd bullet, you should state their order, e.g. 2 horizontal on the front, two vertical on the right, and the 2 large pouches on the left, with the black mesh one closest to the front.
11. I think the new fabric ones look fine, and should be OK for L1, personally.
12. Too bad the reverse process is not so easy.
13. I wonder how many of these will be simply wardrobe flubs, like Mr. No Stripes?
14. Man, how do you get to be an extra on these things?
15. Yeah, it will ship. Then later it will ship later. Now it's later still. Those fan-made buckets look better all the time...
16. What - not done yet? Sorry, j/k. Keep it up
17. Well, I only have 5 or 6 of them. Yeah, I'll say go Hyperfirm all the way
18. The answer is that as a non-501st person, you can do whatever you want. If you are a 501st member, and you are at a convention or other informal event (DragonCon, etc.), you can do what you want. If you are a 501st member and at a formal or canon event, then you have to be canon, which means for OT TK's, NO PAULDRON.
19. I was lucky enough to be in the beta feedback group and here are my thoughts: Packaging They arrive safe and sound, well packaged. This is not some fly by night cosplay operation, and it is very clear that quality and customer experience are taken seriously. Gloves They are high quality and I did not see any defects in the craftsmanship. The leather is supple and clean. You can see more details here: What I like is that there is a longer piece that extends up the arm and over the wrist, which is comfortable and there is great flexibility at the wrist point The only thing left is to glue on the hand plate They are superior to the found items in that you don't have to pick out any stitching, the palm pattern is there and best of all they both fit well and are breathable. These are a must have for any TFA, and I commend Francois for not selling any until these were ready to go. This is what - version 5 or 6? Great job!
20. Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke.
21. Great to see another one in progres.
22. Yes. There is no point in specifying something as an L1 standard that is hard to obtain for this costume. EDIT: well, it will also depend in how fast and affordable ImperialBoots are. If they are < $100 and easy to obtain, I can easily see them being considered L1.
23. Well, isn't that the consensus of T/MC from which it comes? Sharp body, helmet not so much.
24. True that. I heard someone was working on a better belt material, but so far nothing solid yet. Anything to get rid of that huge clip.
25. The hard part is seeing what button you are pushing. John Danter put momentary and toggle switches for ears, so you should touch the ear bump and say move your vox from external to cell phone, or turn it off. I don't know if he makes them any more. Not as fun, but functional would be as noted the magnetic switch under the glove and I'd suggest forearm. This way you touch a dimple to make the change, as at least you can always see which button you are pushing.
