Hello – again Since adding the finishing touches to this armor back in 2014, it spent most of the time waiting disassembled in the BBB (shame on me). No mannequin and space to display it. Had only worn it a few times on the previously mentioned events. Searched two years for a suitable mannequin with movable arms, because I wanted my TK to hold a blaster. Then finally I found something…

No worries, you are on a good way already Excellent parts and good paint jobs so far. Keep it up...

Gun Rack for Blasters with some modifications
T-Jay replied to T-Jay's topic in General Weapons Discussion
Update #05 - A nice find Didn’t expect to deliver another update on this blaster rack, but here is something that might be worth being shared. At work I recently came across a 19-inch cabinet, which had been sorted out. It was old and still in good condition, but had to be disposed. After taking a few measurements, I saved it from the trash compactor and brought it home. Looks like the internal design was inspired by the Death Star. As I am posting these pictures here in the Gun Rack thread, I guess most of you will already know, what this cabinet is going to be used for… To modify it for this purpose, all internal parts had to be removed. A few months passed by and it took a happy coincidence to get hands on appropriate side panels and a glass door to be added to the existing back door. The standard bi-color scheme of these cabinets was not perfect, so I checked some screen references from the Death Star to find a suitable paint. More difficult than expected, because sometimes it looks dark and in other shots (from other sets) it appears surprisingly bright, even with a bluish tone. Both, the RAL 7001 and RAL 7037 looked very interesting, but I had to decide for one. I picked the brighter color, because the cabinet is located in a place with no direct sunlight and the look changes heavily depending on the lighting. Painting already started, but I am still a bit unsure about this choice. Any comments or help on this? Have a nice weekend -
Can't wait. Can't wait

Maybe I was misunderstood. The storage capacity of the messenger is absolutely no problem and never was. The former messenger worked very reliable and I was really happy with it. My only problem now is, since the recent site-upgrade there is no sorting to individual folders any more, as all messages are displayed in EVERY folder. Or did I get anything wrong?
-
Tried to, but it didn't work. Usually I have around 70 to 80 messages in various folders. After the cleanup yesterday I am down at 20 and all of them are displayed in EACH folder. Creating a new folder and moving some PMs there, didn't solve this problem. All were displayed. To keep an overview while incomming messages increase, will become impossible under these circumstances. Just wondering why nobody else posted about this...
-
Yes, I use folders since Years and need them to track my shipments and to keep an overview. Today I heavily cleaned up my messages and noticed, that PMs from individual folders were displayed in the wrong folders. Anything I can do to solve this? - please don't answer "stop using folders"
-
Does anybody have issues with the messenger? Mine is mixing up various messages which had been sorted in separate folders. Is it just me?

Loved this quote: "You have no guarantee they will be in business... in a month the way this disaster is rolling out." Really curious to see if others will follow, or if photobucket goes down now...

Looks good. I recently started thinking about a rubber blaster in the future. This Hyperfirm Elite would do the job. Just need to find ways for shipping to Europe... Congratulations on this beauty, Steve. You will surely have a lot of fun with it.

A big thank you to everybody who was involved in performing this upgrade. As a computer noob I can only imagine how much effort was put into this. Although not being ultra happy about the grey background (outer frames of my pictures were optimized for white background), I do really like the option to follow a member. Very good. Also the search function seems to work better now. Doesn't it? Just a few things to highlight: 1: cannot delete my notifications 2: no more signatures in PM??? 3: where is the "Friends List" gone? 4: where are the tutorials? Interesting: "Activity" -> "Content I Started" shows the active threads "Profile" -> "See my activity" -> "Topics" shows active and archived threads Is that a bug of a feature?

Hi Henning, I received your PM regarding the broken links and will discuss this shortly with the other team members. We will find a solution to bring the photos back up again.

In case he does not, I guess it will be possible to recreate the slotted extractor with our rotary tools and a set of key files...

That is a nice idea, Marc Good job.

Wow Christian - your blaster stand looks really great! Very interesting design and individual appearance. Well done!
-
Hey Ryan, I really like the look of your inner bolt and the overall weathering. Very good work.
-
THAT sounds like a very cool idea. So, your next project will be the LEGO DLT-19, right?
-
Very nice, Ian. No matter what project you start, the result is always outstanding. May I ask, for what purpose this blaster has been made? I mean, do you really plan to use it for trooping? Or is it a display piece?
-
Hello Brian. Congratulations on completing your first E-11 blaster and thanks for the kudos. It really looks like a factory new blaster, sitting ready in the shelf, waiting to get grabbed by the next stormtrooper and collecting marks of wear and tear on the battlefields You definitely took the extra mile with all the additional parts and turned this kit into something special. You can be proud of what you achieved, Brian. Looking forward to your next blaster build - this one hopefully with build thread

A good deal for sure. Just be aware that this is only available in "super glossy PVC".
-
Another crazy project from the man down under Great work, Ian. Always loving to follow your inspiring builds.

Looks like a Doopy-Doo's pipe kit from resin. Wouldn't worry about the sticky paint surface. I already built a couple of blasters and had the same effect on every single one. After a few days (latest 1 or 2 weeks) it had fully dried... Just give it some time and nice temperatures
