  1. Very nice documentaion, this will be handy for future newbies, well done
  2. Looking good, it's great that the will send out the lid while you wait for the armor, gives you something to go on with
  3. Hello and welcome aboard, the info you need is in here
  4. Just wondering what you will use for the top coat, will it be shinny as on screen. I have seen on some autormotive shows that they use a liquid chrome finish on some paint jobs, they apply several different coats and the last one it basically a wet wash. I suppose if you used something like this and went over with a few coats of a tinted yellow/gold clear paint and this would give you the gold effect.
  5. I soldered wires to the back of the speakers and just used common connectors to run to the jack, you an buy these jacks and connectors at the electronics shops too.
  6. Another great troop Charles, wish we do more over this end of the world, well done
  7. A great start to your build, getting everything ready before your armor definately helps once it gets there. Have a think about building to EIB and Centruion requirements as it is easier to do this from the get go. Good luck with the build
  8. Nice setup, yup covering with latex is just what I thought also, keep up the good work
  9. Just went to my local electronics shop Jaycar, you can buy online I am sure you will have similar in the US
  10. - body suit, got mine at target 2 piece set - neck seal here - thermal detonator clips here
  11. Very cool, just watch out for the really hot troops I made a push to talk switch which I had in my glove and due to sweating the switch gave up, I may try to cover the new one so it is fluid proof
  12. Thanks guys, been four days and I am still on a high, the long wait between approval to troop is now just a memory
  13. You could use hook and eyes with some elastic if you want to save some room, looking good
  14. Congrats and well done on approval, that red rocks
  15. I would just take the coner off of your cover strips so they don't catch on anything. Good luck with the build
  16. Another great troop Clamps, well done to you all
  17. From the photo's I think you will be fine, but try the cover strips on, just with tape and try post another photo just to make sure
  18. Was at my first troop and been on a high for the last few days so I missed your post, there is only so much you can trim to your size, as long as you leave the step for the cover strip to go over then you are good, even if that means you need to put a little padding into the peices, hope that makes sense. I have small arms so I needed some padding, didn't want to go too small with the cover strips.
  19. Very nice indeed, would it be possible to make others, different squad and garrison logos. Also did you get approval from the 501st for the design.
  20. It can never be said enough, STAY AWAY FROM EBAY
