  1. Every little bit adds up in the end, looking good, we all play around with the strapping just to get everything sitting right. Keep up the good work
  2. I have only a small piece of padding in the top of my lid, they are a snug fit, have to put it on sideways then turn. Most ATA guys trim a little more off the bottom edge just for a little extra room.
  3. Nice job on the edging looking good, keep up the great work
  4. Looking good, slow but sure wins the race, enjoy and keep up the good work
  5. What colour blue did you use for your tube stripes, it looks pretty light
  6. I think you will find that the problem is the paint will bee too thin to give a proper buffing too, on cars you rub down first with a 1200 grit sandpaper wet (some use ultra fine) then you use a buffing machine and compound polish, once this is done you use a final fill n glaze polish. That's us how you get the deep shine, the problem is that the sanding and buffing removes paint so if its not thick enough then you rub through to the base. Maybe even try bees wax or clear shoe polish, may be worth a try.
  7. Check the gaps on your arms you may want to adjust around the elbows, your forearms seem to low down, before posting some more photo's correctly
  8. Very nice indeed, you could have taken just a little more out of the top of the eyes there is a slight ridge there. Good work keep it up
  9. You can try an auto polish but just don't rub too hard you may find that you polish through the painted surface and down to the base.
  10. Looking great with a few purchased extra's you should be able to aim for EIB or centurion. Keep up the good work, you will be trooping in no time
  11. Ahhhhhhh the endless wait and the stalk of the mail man, hope you get the big brown box soon, the excitement, the panic, the frustration, the relief, so many emotions you endure along your amor journey, good luck with the build we are here if you need help
  12. Some of the cheap kids costumes has nice thin shinny material, I have made a neck seal out of it. You are doing a nice job keep up the great work
  13. Looks fine for basic but if you did a few more mods be ok for EIB. As I found I needed a better blaster for Centurion and my pipe build was a rewarding experience. Nice work, now add a bit of weathering and seal it with a matt or satin clear to stop the paint being rubbed through.
  14. I have two on my wall cross ways hooked up to transformers and a remote switch, looks pretty good when you flick the switch on, I like the glow
  15. I wouldn't glue these until you had the front and rear strapped together, sometimes the cover straps need to be adjusted. Good luck with the build
  16. I suppose there would be no reason why you could used a stiff setting silicon for the inside too
  17. You will get a little bit of heat so I would only apply small pieces at a time, I have used a heat gun and the lids take a bit of heating before anything bad happens. Over here we can get it from automotive shops, even hardware stores stock it
  18. You could use some fibreglass resin and matting for the inside and a little bondo on the outside. Little bit of sanding, a little touch up with paint and you will be done
  19. It was in a local shop, if you like when I am next in there I can see if the have any more. Travel and suitcase shops would have them too.
  20. Very cool congrats and TM is such a nice looking armor
  21. As a costume it looks cool but I doubt you could have it approved. Seems like a lot of money for something non troopable, but hey if you can afford it go for it
  22. I would try some polish on a small area see if it brings it back to white
  23. I was looking at these s while a go, I couldn't find any info about using an external speaker but if you can use your own device with its speaker then it must be able to pump out a bit of volume. I liked the idea of being able to import your own files too, could load any Star Wars noises, chatter and so on, you can also loop files. I think it may go on to the wish list, if I can stop buying costumes lol
