  1. Don't leave too much of an overhang as it will catch on other pieces , keep up the good work you will be kitted up in no time
  2. Ahhh and who said it was quality not quantity lol
  3. Nice find Vern, it's on my wish list lol
  4. Coming together nicely can't wait for the build, enjoy and good luck
  5. If you cut the trim larger than what is needed, when you fit it to your lid the extra material forces the trim to stay on, I have not had any problems and have not needed to use glue
  6. Yup it's no longer just between us lol i would say it would a lot cheaper with postage too. If you need the link for the small rare earth magnets I used just let me know. Now where's that thread
  7. Thanks For my fellow troopers in Aus these are available on the TAG forum. And for troopers in US I believe you will have a supplier very soon
  8. I cheated and made my chest elastic straps adjustable, has come in handy for when the elastic stretches a bit. I just use some of the plastic adjusters you find on dog leaches
  9. Looking good you could try to get the top of your bells to come in a little more at the top, maybe pull your thighs up just a little as you have a lot of black showing at the top. Apart from that you are looking great, nice work .
  10. A few pictures of the finished binders and the different versions I am making.
  11. Don't want to pick but your cover strips are not that nice, the one on the right biceps seems really narrow. Usually the cover strips go up to the ridge edge also. Think you should check the sizing of them and also get the to go right to the edges
  12. Problem was it was just for the story line, Luke needed to be able to talk to C3PO and also needed the grappling hook to swing across the abyss, when all is said and done no other trooper is seen with a grappling hook so it was just used for the hero Luker version only.
  13. The yellow foam method is screen accurate and works great
  14. Every little bit adds up int the end, keep up the good work
  15. Should really introduce yourself first, but in saying that have a look in the getting started section that will help you. I have seen helmets made by bondo, foam, cardboard fibreglass and milk containers, depends how accurate you want an armor to be but to troop in the 501st you will need an approvable armor and lid.
  16. So waiting for some paint to dry started on my holster. First make the template Glue some vinyl back to back so no backing is shown, then cut to size Try blaster for fit, will check fit again after stitching the side can trim more if needed Just have to sew the sides, add some rivets, snaps and the hooks
  17. Because they A don't want to be confused with dodgey sellers and B they get enough work just from this forum, currently ATA has a 7 month waiting list.
