  1. A nice tip for keep those snaps attached http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28934-howto-make-snaps-hold/
  2. I was on a wait list for armor for 6 months so I decided to scratch build a blaster or two to keep me occupied, I had made 2 x E-11's, a DLT-19 a T21, and some imperial binders, which I ended making for squad members, fellow members then started calling me quartermaster because of what I had been making, it then got shortened to Q and that has stuck. First nickname I've ever had and happy to have it . From a fellow member

  6. Really depends on what you can get to with the paint, I find when using spray paint it gets in to all the sections I need it too. I would use a painters cork/silicon, at least the paint with adhere to it, some silicon's are oil based and paint won't adhere. Looking forwards to some pics
  7. Didn't even bother mentioning the sink tips, why they even bother . Nice extra bits guys, I didn't want to bag it too much
  8. After having the opportunity to build a few sets of ATA and AP armor I just wanted to point out a few differences between the two, I always thought they were about the same size, this may help some with deciding on which to purchase. Major differences are the helmet size, AP is slightly smaller, secondly the chest back plate circumference, if you use the minimum cut lines AP is 2 inches smaller on each side compared to ATA, makes a huge difference if you have a light belly, made it really hard with one set that was pre trimmed, shims needed to be added on AP but not on ATA. I also noticed the detailing around the ridges on the thighs are not as prominent on the AP armor. Just my observations, take with a grain of salt

  12. I started with a huge plastic box but found after a few troops upstairs it was a pain to carry, now I've gone with a suitcase and a helmet bag, easier to move around and fit in vehicles. But what ever works for you
  13. Looking good
  14. It is an S trim, it clips onto the lip of the helmet, usually you cut it a little longer than is needed and the pressure of the extra material keeps it in place, some use glue if it comes off.
