  1. Congratulations and welcome to the ranks trooper.
  2. TROOP REPORT EVENT: SOLO Midnight Screening LOCATION: Event Cinema Innaloo DATE: 23rd May 2018 TIME: 10pm to 11.50pm LANDSCAPE/WEATHER: Indoors TROOPERS: TK85421 - Q - gmrhodes13 TK51164 - Stuart - DV64 TK59226 - Jerry - jezzapm ID21422 - Jared - stepchild24 WRANGLERS: Marie Em Liz Michael & R2 unit REPORT: We arrived early to the cinema after running into a couple of dodgy looking people at Ikea prior. Not expecting many troopers to the pre midnight screening as most had already seen the movie the week prior and the couple that hadn't seen it didn't want to watch it at midnight, many of us finding we nod off during the midnight showings, old age creeping up. Anyway we where ready to troop just before 10pm, very slow going at first, but as always we seem to be able to entertain ourselves, amazing how an idol mind can come up with the funniest idea for photos. Chivo's R2 unit a great crowd pleasure, especially for C3PO who like dancing to Staying Alive and Gangnam Style. AT 11pm there was a Q & A session with Mark Raatz, which kept most patrons entertained. Just before this started we pulled Tash our Disney representative away and made a quick presentation, Tash was made an honorary member of DSG, a small thank you from our garrison for Tash getting us invited to Disney events over the last 6 months, some not even or eastern states brothers and sisters had been involved with. Liz presented her with the framed certificate, also gave here a patch, wristband and as she is expecting a youngling in 4 months time and we want to make sure it turns to the dark side, Tash also received a youngling size denim vest with 501st patch sewn on the back and Stormtrooper on the front, she was very excited and appreciative. More photos as the crowds got bigger, got to 11.50pm and we decide to kit down and call it a night. Hope everyone enjoyed SOLO as much as I did. INJURIES: None that I was aware CASUALTIES: None that I was aware ARMOR REPAIRS: None that I was aware HAPPY PEOPLE: Everyone UNHAPPY PEOPLE: None MISSION STATUS: Complete REPORT BY: TK85421 Photos to follow:
  3. Actually people have had the ability to download their photos from when they first started charging and blocking 3rd party hosting
  4. Think they lost A LOT of people with their last decision, don't think this is going to get them back
  5. EVENT: RSPCA Million Paws Walk. LOCATION: Sir James MItchell Park. DATE: 20/05/2018 TIME: 3 hours LANDSCAPE/WEATHER: Perfect outdoor weather condition. Slight breeze that dropped off and great sunlight but not hot. TROOPERS: TD98311 - Flocky - Peter TK85421 - gmrhodes13 - Q TD86557 - Volksjager - Jason WRANGLERS: Liz REPORT: Jason arrived early and scouted the area. Due to not carrying any imperial credits on him he landed at pad 5 instead of pad 9. He notified change of LZ and we all met up with imperial accuracy. We armoured up and headed out on a beautiful crisp morning and stopped for a few photos along the way. We entered the area of operation and Q had his trusty AT-AT pet by his side. A later vet check up on the AT-AT had revealed it had passed away in his arms during the day. Its machine spirit lives on and will conquer the battlefields against insurgents long into its afterlife. We stood in the shade for a while until crowds surged at the entrance and the sun had risen enough to effect peoples photos. We patrolled the area and stopped for photos with animals that brought they owners out for a walk. We saw Banthas, Wookies, womp rats, Rontos, Wampas, All shapes and sizes. At one point we had to arrest a youngling Q had chased down but the animals all got together and fought us back and we backed off not wanting to start a riot in the crowd. There was an imperial armoury dog wash to help the dirty troopers come clean. Q was the only one to bathe in it and he was sparkly white. Jason and Pete remained dirty and smelled of Bantha poodoo. We also found the droid we were looking for, Princess Leia and we time travelled and found the traitor Finn aka FN2187. Highly successful mission. All troopers up for medals. We stopped for a scenic photo backdrop of the city we had just liberated. On the way back to the transports Jason and Pete were stopped by Vegan Protestors and they tried to show a video of cruel conditions of animals in the food industry but that just made us want bacon more. So we stopped at Hungry Jacks on the way home. CHARITY: RSPCA INJURIES: No Injuries ARMOR REPAIRS: No repairs HAPPY PEOPLE: All human species happy. UNHAPPY PEOPLE: A few canine were suspicious and potentially deadly. MISSION STATUS: Sector cleared. REPORT BY: Flocky
  6. Blasters are required for L2 and L3 Rubies blaster would not cut it they are quite a way off in size and detail, I would recommend going with a more screen accurate version. For L3 you would need working lights too.
  7. TROOP: SOLO Premier Disney Private Screening LOCATION: Event Cinema ADDRESS: Innaloo DATE: Thursday 17th May 2018 TIME: 5.30pm to 6.30pm Movie 6.45pm - 9pm LANDSCAPE/WEATHER: Indoors TROOPERS: TK85421 - Q - gmrhodes13 TK98311 - Peter - Flocky TK51164 - Stuart - DV64 TK10469 - Ben - Ben TI86557 - Jason - Volksjager TI4748 - Ken - Zander ID17001 - Scott - Wolvator M Dracutus ID21422 - Jared - stepchild24 ID13310 - Liz - Liz TB20074 - Wayne - Whereswa11y TD84000 - Kevin - DARTH TROOPER WRANGLER: Em FRIENDS: Rebel Legion REPORT: Well I don't know who was the most excited when the news came through, us or Tash our local Disney representative here in Western Australia (I think it was Tash), being on the opposite side of Australia without a Disney office here we don't see very many Disney events, so when the news of a movie premiere for SOLO was to be held here we where over the moon. Unfortunately limited to only 10 tickets (which was expanded to 12) we had troopers signing up for the event as fast as they could. The big day arrived, Liz and myself arriving at the cinema change area a few minutes before the due time to seeing a sight not often seen at troops, most if not all of our troopers already kitting up, we where amazed, excited anyone ;). Anyway only takes me 5 minutes to kit up on an OT TK so I soon joined in, Liz a little later so she could keep cool until needing to put on that thick officer coat. Ben realising he had forgotten his glasses in his imperial transport and he needed them to watch the movie, we decided to retrieve them, while in costume to the delight of some patrons entering the local Sizzler restaurant next to the cinema. Glasses in hand, no he didn't drop them, or miss them, we headed back to the change area without incident. Time for a pre troop briefing from Tash and nothing really different from the Disney normal requirements, although blasters where permitted, when asked Tash replied "if they can have them at SOLO in Cannes then we can have them too, besides it's more fun don't you think", we also received a SOLO promo pack each from Disney for our pre movie trooping, hat, bag and limited pin which we where delighted about, but just getting a ticket to see the screening of the movie a week a head of most in Australia was already enough for us. We proceeded to the SOLO staging area at @ 5.45, Tash selecting troopers to be in certain positions, we also had a few group photos before the patrons arrived. The four of us clean TK's asked to man an area closer to the cinema doors, a photo opportunity area which also bottle necked so didn't take us long to decide we would hold people up by checking their lanyard passes, if you didn't have one you didn't get through the imperial barricade. Intimidating patrons who tried taking photos without asking, making them wear their lanyards not just carrying them met with lots of laughter, most patrons getting into the atmosphere of the evening. We also had a pesky Tusken trying to cut in through the line without a pass, he was abruptly removed while he was yelling in some strange voice, he appeared once again later with a pass and proceeded to rub it in our faces while walking through the blockade, man those Tuskens are just rude. 6.30 and Tash was happy most patrons where lined up that she cleared us to kit down and get ready for the movie. Didn't take most of us very long, toilet breaks, treats purchased and phones packed away as they where not being permitted to enter the cinema, we headed inside to our reserved seating, man that felt good. Cans of drink and popcorn already supplied which was an extra bonus to the night. A short talk from Tash before the movie, a thank you to both the RL and ourselves with a massive applause from the audience, our logos also on the screen, made us feel very welcome. Then everyone was told to look under their seats, one lucky patron who found a note under her seat, was to receive some artwork from Mark Raatz, who was sitting the seat behind us. On with the show AND, no I'll not spoil it, was ok I spose, no really it was more than OK, you gotta see it. Movie ended and time to head back to the change area for a quick chat on who liked the movie, most seemed to, although only one part I had to question, I won't spoil that now. Then time to grab our bags, say our thanks and farewell to Tash, both of us receiving a big hug and thanks from her and asking us to pass on her thanks to all that attended in costume. We will be seeing her again next Wednesday evening for the midnight launch of SOLO back at Event Cinema Innaloo. I've probably left some bits out but after only have 3 hours sleep I'm not surprised, was worth it though. INJURIES: None that I was aware CASUALTIES: None that I was aware ARMOR REPAIRS: None that I was aware HAPPY PEOPLE: Everyone UNHAPPY PEOPLE: None that I was aware MISSION STATUS: Complete REPORT BY: TK85421 A few photos for now, more posted when available.
  8. Had been a rumour that a Celebration may be held in the Asia Pacific region but obviously not this time around. Have fun all in the US, again
  9. Celebration 2019 Chicago April 11th - 15th https://www.starwars.com/video/star-wars-celebration-2019-announced-and-we-go-inside-solo-a-star-wars-story-s-millennium-falcon
  10. I used JB weld on most areas which would not need flexing, on those that do I used E6000, I also used bondo (auto filler) without issue, you just have to know how to use it correctly and in what areas. Make sure you rough up the surfaces with course sandpaper before applying glue or bondo, it will help both stick and not peel off.
  11. We all learn along the way none of us are perfect from the get go. Glad to hear you have replacements on the way, be back on track in no time.
  12. I have this case which I use for flights and at conventionions, I do find it a little large for general troops though and I use a suit case with a helmet bag for those. I found some of the troops we attend have stairs and much easier to drag a suit case up then two people carrying the box
  13. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the ranks
  14. Great work I’d recommend a pass for basic approval. Good luck, hope to see you approved soon
  15. Heat is not an easy thing to use, does take some practice and I always advise to use scraps first. it certainly appears you may need some replacements
  16. Some great work there Jenny, well done. I see noting that hasn't already been noticed, good luck with approval, I'm sure you will have no issues.
  17. You need a minimal amount of form posts to be able to add to the for sale section, I think it was 5 but I may be mistaken.
