  1. I won a TK raffle from Walts a week or two ago... I’m not scuffing this one up until I get the new one built haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I still want to add an antenna and re-pack the pouch slots for more volume Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I do have some pics on my ipad showing my ammo pouch work I’ll add them when I get time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I kind of gathered the stuff I needed over the summer without thought of a build thread. Her’s some pics though. They were taken after a troop, so things are not as tight as when I geared up. Damn pack is drooped sideways on me I see now haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. These threads always end up being full of great ideas and info! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Ok thanks. I do have the pack, I just got approved for HWT in my Starkiller Garrison. I guess I should make a ‘reporting for duty’ post. The semantics looked to me like you could swap out the pack in lieu of the TD ... as long as you actually HAVE a pack. I could envision times where leaving the pack in the dressing room could be advantageous, such as a tight-quarters setting (like the tiny library I just trooped) or if you found yourself having to get geared up with no help. 7. So I just got my HWT approved after some upgrading on my TK. I was scanning the CRL though and noticed the little note at the bottom of the Optional thermal detonator... So, it seems to me that having the backpack IS mandatory for approval... BUT you may then choose to troop WITHOUT the backpack IF you wear a thermal detonator? Thats what I am getting from that text. Yay or nay? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. She was about 38” tall when we started over a year ago. It was big on her and still kind of is now at 42” She’s built kind of shorter-limbed and stocky, so actually she’s just getting to the point that she has some mobility in her arms and legs, as there is finally getting some space in the joints. That said, to make it fit originally I had to cut out the knee plates and the flared section on the bottom of the shins. I saved them to add back later if her legs grow. The chest, I did cut it so it overlaps the abs and can creep up as she grows. There is a lot of room for growth. Don’t worry! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks guys. This has been fun. Thanks everyone for the advice along the way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. While we we were in the groove, we decided to go the same (but less drastic) route on his biceps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Almost weathering time. Honestly, if I hadn’t had extra thighs to scavenge, it would have been a pain to rebuild the bottom from scratch. If I had to do it again, I would have originally cut out an hourglass shape instead of just the top triangle, so we could save the bottom lip section, and put it back on straight. Lesson learned. I never foresaw them inverting upwards that badly when we split the top so wide, but it makes perfect sense in hindsight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks! It’s hard to tell how deep that absorbed in... guess we’ll see Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Update: I think the culprit was my brand new black leather ammo pouches for my in-progress HWT upgrade. They were in the bottom of my bin. Ugh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Ok here’s one I cant find on forums. I just unpacked my TK to clean it for a troop tomorrow. I had worn new soft parts last troop. Apparently, either my new gloves or new compression shirt dye somehow bled into my armor in a few spots after throwing everything in the bin after my last sweaty troop. I’ve tried alcohol and Novus, but that blue-ish dye literally absorbed into the ABS. So this is a question and a warning... Anyone else had this? It looks like a coat of paint might be only option. 15. Thanks Haha yea it’s been eye-opening. But fun too, plus it’s easier to be brave with somebody else’s kit XD Really, I am glad its a TD, so heavy weathering can help with mistakes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
