  1. Sorry to hear of your troubles but great to see you back to it, looking forward to the photos. For officer bits and pieces head over to IOC there are a few sellers on there.
  2. Personally for the sniper plate I'd remove the screws, then make sure the plate is glued to the shin, if not add glue, then add some ABS paste to the holes and once dry sand and polish. There aren't a lot of people buying SDS these days so as you say a lot of info gets buried on these forums. Troopers helping troopers
  3. Bunnings (on the mainland, not sure if you guys have Bunnings there ) gets them in from time to time but I haven't seen them for the last few years. I've only used mine a couple of times, it's too big for most vehicles I go in but was great for air travel, pretty sturdy but the ground crew did manage to bust a wheel off, must have just dropped it outside the door straight to the ground.
  4. You may also want to check this pre approval thread too as it is also SDS armor and has some of the fixes needed which are common to that armor
  5. Motoring along, looking forward to the progress
  6. In your right side photo it appears the shins are closing from the inside over the outside, they should close from the outside over the inside so the opening is not seen from the outside. Have a look at the reference photos I have posted you can compare and see what is required to change as I suggested early on in your journey research is the key to this hobby, there are lots of great reference images in the gallery section and you can also compare with the CRL link I posted earlier . Belt should be fabric not ABS on the sides and rear, only the front section of belt is ABS.
  7. Back on computer here are some photo references: Can't tell if you have the bottom elastic on your shoulder bells Fabric belt not plastic The sniper plate should not be attached with screws should be glued and should be cut straight at the ends, not rounded. You will need to fill the screw holes with abs paste or white silicon, here's a thread on abs paste https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/42866-how-to-make-abs-paste/ Biceps and forearm placement. You can also check references with the CRL (costume reference library) https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_stunt Hope those references help, anything else don't hesitate to contact me here or on our local forum
  8. Some nice detailing, keep up the good work
  9. With your thigh ammo strip it should be attached in the top corner on the lower ridge and have a rounded bottom corner.
  10. Coming along nicely, for the little gaps between joins you can add some scrap abs behind Keep up the good work.
  11. Looking good, moving along nicely
  12. Coming along nicely, looking forward to seeing it all painted, I remember the excitement seeing mine all in white
  13. Bit hard to see from the one photos, one obvious thing is you can see some black at the top of the boot, this shins may have moved up too high, you can stop this by adding a loop of elastic to the top of the boot and snaps behind the shin, or Velcro works for some. SDS usually has a few issues so I'll give you a couple to check. Thigh cover strip should stop before the bottom ridge, does not continue to the bottom. Thigh ammo strip should only be rounded on the bottom and not on the top, also needs attaching with cap rivets. Shoulder bridges should be glued at the front and not Velcro. Appears you have a Hero helmet so you should have straps on the holster which are attached behind the belt and held by 4 rivets (SDS normally provides black loops on the holster) Belt doesn't look straight. As I say it's a bit hard to tell with one photo so looking forward to seeing the rest soon. Good luck
  14. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the ranks
  15. Just a quick look as I’m out and about: Shoulder bridges should be glued down at the front, can see velcro. Shoulder bells appear to be sitting quite high, could be as your chest is low. Chest plate needs to come up, an plate also to give you some room at the top of you’re thighs. Belt is not straight. Forearms need rotating. Thigh cover strips should stop above the lower ridges, not continue to the bottom. Boots sticking out of shins at front. Blue on an plate buttons looks very dark, should be French Blue #14 Holster should not be held on by loops, should be short straps attached to lower section of belt. You do have a gap in the sides, ok for basic but shins would be needed for higher levels. Shins on rear should close from the outside over the inside so the opening is not seen from the outside. Thigh ammo stop should not be curved on top, should be a straight corner, only curved on bottoms. Also looks like it is secured with screws in the bottom corners, should be attached in the top corners and on the lower ridge, should be held with cap rivets. Also when taking the photos try to use a blank background, makes it a little easier for you’re GWL to edit That will have to do for the moment, I’ll comment later if others haven’t SDS does need some work right out of he box so don’t be disheartened a few tweaks and you’ll be fine.
  16. Looking forward to seeing those BBB photos. A lot of troopers use ImperialBoots these days since TK Boots are no longer supplying.
  17. You and me both
  18. Official stream here
  19. I agree they should be ok for basic approval but it’s always a good idea to check with your GML (garrison membership liaison) just to make sure. No go for higher levels.
  20. Resources thread One you want here Works great and it's just a matter of adding a couple of screws to the side of the blaster/s
  21. TFA and TLJ CRL's will be undergoing a review I believe after the OTTK's
  22. Or you can pm @sskunky
