  1. Nice work. The cheek trapezoid black stripes look a little slanted, comparisons below. Also what is the width of your tube stripes they look a little big (although it could be the image), tube stripes also fall forward from the top
  2. I have had dye from black pouches I had for around painted armor run, just on the high spots of the armor touching the pouches but managed to use polish to remove them. I also had the black from an Aker amp microphone leave a stain when they rested on one of the boots, couldn't rub off so had to use a shoe whitener over the top. I did find with the armor I needed to use a coarser cutting automotive polish, it's a little more abrasive and once the stain is removed use a softer polish.
  3. Nice work, nothing too glaring for basic approval, good luck
  4. Congratulations and welcome to the EI ranks trooper
  5. Nice work, you will need to remove all the return edge at the wrist end of the forearms for L3
  6. You may find these threads useful https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/24487-diagram-of-snap-placement/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31404-supply-list-for-your-tk-build/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/12064-interior-strapping/ A lot of us use double snaps just in case one fails you can still wear the armor For more screen accurate details check out the images in the gallery section
  7. Looking forward to the progress, there's some great build threads to follow, you may want to start with Tony's https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35086-uswraths-anovos-tk-build-stunt/
  8. Great news, get some research done in the meantime and don’t forget to use references in the gallery section. Looking forward to seeing those BBB photos
  9. I used one once, I did find it digs in after a while, swapped out to a thin piece of foam at the top and a couple of thicker pieces of foam at the sides of the head, much more comfortable and they can be removed and washed having Velcro on them.
  10. Don't be afraid to ask questions, there's no silly questions, just silly mistakes You will also find in the build sections many have the makers name in the build heading. Good luck an looking forward to see you're progress.
  11. Keep up the good work
  12. I find using a soldering iron to make the holes for the snaps very helpful, stops them pulling through, or you could add some E6000 to the hole area before adding the snap, this will also reinforce the elastic .
  13. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the Centurion ranks
  14. You need to request 501st access in this thread
  15. Just a little bit of video from Supanova setup 1/2 hour before the doors open, it was a shame the 25 meter space we had been told we would get was only 19 meters so had leave a bit of the display out, would have loved to expand the Galaxy's Edge section but people still seemed to enjoy it, and the Coke section definitely caught a few out 3.30 am (stupid pain) and day 2 is 6 and 1/2 hours away, going to be a long day.
  16. Do you have an image of the boots?
  17. Rare earth magnets can be found on eBay, i use 20mm x 3mm and 15mm x 5mm, I have about 200 of them I've collected over the years but a good cheap substitute is painters tape, you can wrap around the thigh and use some pressure while doing it and it will hold them tight, may need to go around a couple of times. I just used painters tape on the insides too to keep them together while applying the cover strip, duct tape may be a bit of overkill and leave some glue residue. Make sure you leave for at least 24hours to dry in between adding strips.
  18. Carry my amp in my belt pouch, have dense foam around it so it keeps the shape of the pouch.
  19. Are you gluing one side at a time and letting that side dry? E6000 can take up to 72 hours to dry fully, I normally leave for 24 hours. Also using a combination of clamps, magnets and painters tape can help
  20. I know right, I've searched but couldn't find anything, took some time to make the font for the 709th banner and also the soda TD's, the things we do
  21. ^^^^^Definitely, I had two sets of boots supposed to be the same sizing BUT one was wider in the ankle so shins where a little snugger.
  22. why do I foresee a cease and desist letter in my future
  23. Congratulations and welcome to EI trooper
  24. I may very well do a run of them, I'm sure they'll work out cheaper than buying from the mouse The material they used does crease easily so when they where all folded to fit in the bag it took a hell of a lot of spray starch and ironing to get most of the creases out but some are still there, if I had more time I'd try washing, drying and ironing again, I'm waiting to hear if they have a another fabric which doesn't crease as much.
