  1. Nice work, looking forward to the progress
  2. "But I don't like my drop boxes dangling, they make a clanking noise"
  3. That's not mine, but I did use a little heat and glued the sides first then once dry twisted the front, glued and held in place with magnets, clamps and tape.
  4. "I've got to cut down on the weightlifting, my biceps are getting too big for my armor"
  5. Here's one. Probably loose elastic as they used the hook/elastic method on the closures
  6. Nice work overall, just a couple of things to really compliment your build, your bottom ear screws look a little high on the sides, but may be ok for the DL's. You could paint the rims of your mic tips white A few of your black lines are a little wobbly, a good tip is go over with a permanent marker to help straighten them Knee ammo strip could be a little higher at front You could also trim the curve section out of the top angle of the sniper plate so its a little straighter. You could also drop your forearms a little, there is a bit of a gap there at the gloves, will allow a little more movement at the elbows. Good luck with approval
  7. I'd suggest resending the email to the LWM and also include the election committee elections@501st.com
  8. I also had hovi mics for a while but just not loud enough at a busy convention.
  9. "What do you mean my drop boxes are missing" "Hey mine are too but at least you have a holster"
  10. Looks pretty impressive to me, nice work.
  11. Congratulations on your first troop and thanks for the share. If you are officially approved you should post here for a forum access upgrade
  12. Nice updates, with the gloves and handguards I've found that different makers need different glue to adhere to them, some I've used E6000, some superglue and others silicon/silastic, so you may need to do a test area and see how you go.
  13. Here is a thread for Tamiya conversions, may be of help https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/45651-anh-paint-colour-guide-tamiya-equivalents/ For the TD I use an automotive primer and once dry I give it a coat of automotive gloss clear, usually find these in any auto parts outlet. Here is a conversion chart which may also be of assistance http://www.planete-auto.fr/english/tamiya-color-chart.asp
  14. That helmet build is on this forum, I've noticed a few issues with it which should be changed for better accuracy which I've mentioned on that thread.
  15. The build of that helmet is on this forum, there are a couple of issues with it as I've pointed out on the build thread so I'd hang off purchasing one for the moment.
  16. Green screen will be fine. Be amazed what some people stand in front off, bushes, brick walls, fences, any blank one colour surface is acceptable
  17. Depends on which part, with my build I first checked the gallery section and viewed screen used armor, RS section is a good place to start
  18. Ultimately it will be your GML who looks over your application so I would contact him/her in regards to a decision on those particular boots before going any further with them.
  19. I'm in Australia and we can only get very small tubes here locally, I tend to purchase all of mine tubes (110mm) in lots of 5 or 10 on ebay, works out a lot cheaper.
