  5. Won't let me add the RPF link here's a screen cap of it He has blaster files as well
  6. That is a bit of a gap front and back, what is the gap like around your sides ab/kidney? Even the arm opening looks quite large
  7. Helo and welcome. Here's a great thread to have a read through. Good luck with the build
  8. Definitely lots of research on the printer, there are a large number of FB groups for specific printer support and info, lots of mods and updates as well as files, it's a never ending learning hobby but you will find the communities are willing to help if you get into trouble. I started small with a 210 x 210 bed, you have to split your prints, then glue and fill so a bit more work than a larger bed printer, comes down to price, I recently purchased a 400 x 400 bed Anycubic Chiron as it was pretty cheap but it did need some extra setup, some mods and learning. Research, research, research just like finding armor
  9. Excellent, prepare as much as you can so there's no disapointment when you start to build, only fear pf were to start Boots, either Imperial Boots or Crowprops (who will make to size) As to printing well depends what make of printer, what size, what price, then there is the sanding, filling, sanding, filling, sanding oh and did I mention sanding and painting, there is a bit involved but it's achievable, really it's practice in all areas and you learn a lot on the journey, take a look at these threads Some printing and sanding work in this thread
  10. Hello and welcome aboard, this isn't a cheap hobby and old armor doesn't come up too often, many turn their old armor into Sandtroopers or Deathtroopers. Your height would be an issue for already built armor, you don't see many come up for sale of that height. Here are some great build threads showing modifications for shorter troopers. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/42868-sha-shas-wtf-anh-stunt-build-complete/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/38416-crickets-rs-stunt-build-for-the-vertically-challenged/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/38842-fragarocks-rs-stunt-build-not-to-scale/ Here is a great all in one resource thread for everything needed to build a Stormtrooepr Research is the key, good luck you have some reading ahead of you
  11. Hello and welcome aboard, MEPD is the home for Sandies so you will be well looked after there. For base armor/helmet info in this thread Here is a great resource thread, full of helpful info for first time builders Research is the key to this hobby so enjoy the reading

NEW Detachment Leader Merchandise Hall of Fame Just For Laughs Update Your Build Threads Around the Detachment Competition INFORMATION & AWARD PROGRAMS Common FISD Acronyms and TK Glossary Pre Approval Forum 3D Section Field Exercise Award Imperial AttachƩ Program Fire Teams EIB & Centurion: What do these terms mean? Advanced Tactics Awards Public Relations Staff List 2020 Follow FISD Greetings Troopers, we have another info packed newsletter for you again this month, I hope you find something interesting or new. I'd like to start by thanking gmrhodes13 (Glen) for the effort he continually puts into updating the content and keeping our newsletters fresh, packed with detachment info, and a good read for everyone. Let's get down to business. Yep it's November and we have a lot of exciting stuff to get through as holiday season approaches. It's been a busy year thus far and it's not about to stop with several plans we need to drive into action to have time up our sleeves before Chinese new year, Feb elections and Celebration in May. justjoseph63 (Joseph) has launched a design competition for the official FISD Celebration 2022 patch. If you are feeling creative, please post your designs in the thread as soon as possible. Full details further on in this edition. The Legion merch team have also announced they will start approving celebration merch as of 1st Dec so the quicker we can get something together the sooner we can seek approval and get the run going. We always offer up free merch to the winner and of course kudos, and some great bragging rights. We want more merch I hear you say!! The FISD detachment shirt run will kick off things going to plan in early January. If we want shirts in troopers hands before May we need to strike, but before we can get there, a couple of things need to fall in place. 1. Design. Due to time restraints we have a small window to decide on our standard design as per the last run, or a design that includes something about our 15th anniversary. 2. We need a volunteer to helm the run. If we can hit those marks early, we can get the shirt approved before December is out, and indeed get the shirt run underway on time in early Jan. Are you ready to step up to the plate and help your fellow troopers? Other projects. Tri fold brochures are on the agenda, and the timing is right. We are bringing the famous FISD Tri fold back with a thread currently open in the forums and designs being discussed and samples posted. The originals were done back in 2012 so an update is certainly due, specially with more and more troops and conventions firing up, these brochures are an awesome tool for recruiting and bringing new people onto the forums and into our garrisons. If you would like to join the conversation, you can find it Here in the 501st members section here FISD special anniversary project. Not the official announcement quite yet, but we are moving closer to the reveal. There are still a couple of hops to jump through, but I really hope to have something for you all very soon. In the mean time we thank you for your patience. You can find the thread here WE NEED YOU TO UPDATE YOUR BUILD THREADS As most would be aware we are diligently working through the forums updating watermarked images, missing images and broken links, this has taken over a year so far and has been a monumental task but there is still a lot of work ahead of us. Members build threads are one of the biggest areas of watermarked/missing images and we are asking you the membership to help and update your build threads yourselves as this is just too big a task for staff. Build threads requiring updates are being moved over to this area https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/241-build-threads-requireing-maintenance/ Thank you in advance for your cooperation. We are starting this contest early (in case there are delays in shipping) as we want to get these in your hands in time for the big weekend next May! The winning entry will be made into a patch, which will be worn and traded by hundreds (and seen by thousands) at this event. So how do you enter? Glad you asked! To help you @justjoseph63 has started a list of the most commonly used ones that will give you some insight. If you have ANY questions about a particular term that is not listed or suggestions for new ones please contact Joseph. You can find the list here Pre Approval Forum allows future Troopers the opportunity to submit photos of their completed build to be reviewed by the Staff, Imperial Attaches and others in preparation for forwarding it to their GML for approval. Any and all advice/suggestions given will be specific, constructive, helpful and respectful. 14. A lot of people use metal kitchen strainers
  15. Looking good, a few teaks you could make Your elbows have a different gap Shoulder bells could be closer at the front, bringing the snap on your shoulder bridge further forward can help them rotate. Belt is on an angle, also ideally it should just sit under or slight on the bottom ab button. Thighs could be brought up and made the same level, they are not aligned presently, your sniper plate is sitting under the thigh. You could add some foam behind the sniper plate to help push forwards so it doesn't slip under the thigh. You may want to try to tighten your strapping on the sides ab/kidney as there is a little gap there, ok for basic but will perhaps need addressing for higher levelsButt plate overlapping kidney V tabs can sometimes help. Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. You will also need to fill your filler plate join seam Any shims used to achieve this effect are of a similar material and color as the abdomen and kidney armor. Shims fit flush and seams are allowed. Brow trim is a little on an angle, could even out A few strapping and aligning issues and you should be good to go
  16. Congratulations looking good
  17. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the ranks You can now stormtrooper access here
  18. Great progress
  19. As expected the concept art does show OT style Stormtroopers, but please swap your leg armor around troopers Yes it's only concept art, we'll have to wait and see what era armor they use, I'd guess R1/Mandalorian since that's currently being used in other series but then again it has been getting pretty beaten up as seen in Series 2 of The Mandalorian.
  20. Weapons Locker General Weapons Discussion Flamethrower (Plasma Rifle) Page 1 Completed - gmrhodes13 SECTION COMPLETE Unfortunately I'm going to have to revisit a few of the other finished areas, I noticed looking at some of my go to help threads that some images are now watermarked which previously weren't, I think this is because Photobucket was still finding accounts and making changes to their access while we have been updating sections of the forum, hopefully this isn't wide spread
  21. Looking good, longer arms help when kitting up I do know a lot of our local troopers need a hand snapping their last arm.
  22. That I could not answer, from memory oven temp was pretty low, I think 60deg Not sure if you guys have Riot stores in Victoria but that's who I purchased it from here in the west
  23. FYI The video is showing as "video unavailable" but when clicked on it does work, for anyone wishing to view
  24. I've used similar before and they have held up well
