  1. All good things come to he who wait, or not Welcome aboard trooper
  2. Doesn't hurt just to check how it's all aligning
  3. Baton mounted on belt Pistol and thinner holster - red accent troopers Sidearm standard troopers No holster (or reversed image) Rifle Shield Shield mounted on backplate
  4. Always best to do any trimming once you are finished and fully kitted up, parts can move once dressed and I've seen some with huge gaps because they trimmed too early. Easier to cut of that to add on
  5. Baton, Shield, Blasters, Jetpack References
  6. According to FB Imperial Warfighters - Rubber (NOT CURRENTLY TAKING ORDERS 6 - 20 -2023)
  7. SDS does take some work, have a read through Helotech's build one of the better ones for SDS I've seen This link should help you with anything else you may need
  8. You could use some cheap plastic paint sheets to hang over the door/opening, I also setup a box, cut both ends and have a fan inside pointing outside, also tape the sheet around the box, this helps to expel excess spray in the air as well as stop particles and bugs from coming in and using the clear sheets you still have light. I also use acrylic automotive paint which dries quickly so less likely to get anything landing on it while drying, but also with clear coats you can buff/compound any impurities once fully dried.
  9. Congratulations and welcome to the ranks trooper
  10. Vry nice indeed
  11. Spotlight for snaps, most packs have the small setting tool and matching cup. I'll check if I have any spare mic tips, been a while since I've checked on those.
  12. Hello and welcome aboard great to seeing you doing some research
  13. Really depends on your make of armor, take my ATA it would only allow 1 large tab and 2 1/2 - 3 small tabs, otherwise it goes over the ridge. Screen show 1 large tab and 4 1/2 to 5 small tabs. There is no requirement of how many tabs just check you have enough overlapping the back plate before gluing You can also remove the rear large tab (or cut it in half) if you have enough coverage
  14. Battery is a 3.6V AA 900mAh battery, I have used higher mAh batteries with no issues, as long as the AA is a 3.6v Quick searches: AMAZON Battery https://www.amazon.com/s?k=3.7v+aa+rechargeable+battery+900mah&crid=16GDRDQOUHXJS&sprefix=3.7v+aa+rechargeable+battery+900mah%2Caps%2C348&ref=nb_sb_noss Holder (I've only seen packs of 6-8) https://www.amazon.com/Single-Battery-Holder-Leads-5-Pack/dp/B07THZL8JX/ref=sr_1_4?crid=1MKB3I92U4Y5Y&keywords=1+x+aa+battery+holder&qid=1687043446&sprefix=1+x+aa+battery+holder%2Caps%2C357&sr=8-4 I also find Aliexpress to be a cheap option for electronic parts ALIEXPRESS Battery https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-aa-rechargeable-battery-900mah.html?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20230617151237&origin=y&SearchText=aa+rechargeable+battery+900mah&spm=a2g0o.detail.1000002.0 Holder https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004016852718.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.13.5666308epE6EqW&algo_pvid=9fffd0d4-849f-4c08-abc3-88cb6227642a&aem_p4p_detail=202306171611552896936901680680009541166&algo_exp_id=9fffd0d4-849f-4c08-abc3-88cb6227642a-6&pdp_npi=3%40dis!AUD!1.18!1.18!!!!!%40211be54b16870435154592879d07ff!12000027750189299!sea!AU!178098435&curPageLogUid=LAY2qcH0djVl&search_p4p_id=202306171611552896936901680680009541166_7
  15. Sorry for the confusion, there is no lower ridge modification in those threads, it was more to show the adding of shims. As you can see from the reference below standard the lower ridge is pretty straight standard Making your modification the lower ridge is angular, some GML's may not allow this even if that is how it has to fit you, I have seen an application which had to be modified so this lower ridge is straight after enlarging. Another application I had previously seen added the width shim all the way down and included extra material for the lower ridge. At the end of the day it is your GML who will either approve or deny so always best to check with them and for higher level approval it's up to our @Deployment Officer Team, hopefully they will chime in soon with what they will allow
  16. You may want to bring it up with your GML as ultimately they will be approving at base level. The bottom ridge does look quite angular, mobility cuts may help the appearance. For higher level approvals I will defer to our @Deployment Officer Team Hopefully those few threads I posted will help with the adjustments, it is a fare bit of work but will give you a better appearance in the long run.
  17. Doesn't appear there is any strapping between the posterior and cod in that image as the cod is angled outwards as well as the posterior.
  18. You could, if you need to add larger cover strips they would normally go on the back, since the public normally see you from the front. The only issue you would then have is the lower ridge, you may need to add a section there and fill with ABS paste. Some have even had to add extra material to the sides of the thighs to give them extra width
  19. I'm still using Imgur, there is no guarantee that it may go the way of Photobucket, you can never tell.
  20. Personally I think you have room to bring the thighs up before considering trimming them, compare with this reference, not much of a gap on these troopers and note the position of the top of the thigh to the cod
  21. Great news, looking forward to seeing your progress, good luck
  22. Please read the first post of this thread you need to add a link to your 501st membership profile
  23. I find wrapping masking tape around the whole piece or across pieces that need pulling in helps the armor from expanding while the glue is drying. Make sure when you trim the two pieces that they are very straight and this reduces any pushing when drying.
