  1. Hello and welcome back, you will find with most kits there is a bit of ground work and research to do, really depends on what version Stormtrooper you would like to build as well as your building skills. So first decide which version Stormtrooper, you can find our costume reference library here for the different versions https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:FISD_CRL We have areas on the forum for most versions and we will be able to guide you a little more once you've decided on a version and maker. Good luck with the research, hope to see a build thread from you soon
  2. As suggested take a look through others builds, there are quite a few options of how to put the armor together, some research is needed to decide what will work for you. You can find FOTK builds in the FOBG area https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/222-costuming-and-builds-first-order-501st-approved/ Tony @ukswrath has a great build A great video step by step guide https://www.youtube.com/@CaptainsDrydock
  3. Here are some really helpful builds for those of the shorter stature, have a look a their heights and armor purchased to give you an idea of what to look for https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/38416-crickets-rs-stunt-build-for-the-vertically-challenged/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/38842-fragarocks-rs-stunt-build-not-to-scale/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/42868-sha-shas-wtf-anh-stunt-build-complete/
  4. Some great threads on ear trimming below, adding a step to the tip section will allow the ear to come inwards more, you also don't want them too thick. A few ear references:
  5. Hello and welcome aboard, you are off to a great start doing research, looking forward to seeing your build soon
  6. There is industrial elastic which should be a little stronger you could give that a try. I have seen some just keep the brackets/screws for show and add snaps and elastic, this takes any pressure of the brackets and stops any cracking between the screws.
  7. If you can grip the back of the rivet with pliers to stop it from turning if the drill bit gets stuck. Slow drill with very little pressure works for me.
  8. A few ear references:
  9. What maker kit is this, looks very soft on the pull and has the chest greebles incorporated? You can find a lot of information through others build threads, this one is very detailed
  10. Nice work trooper, there are a few images missing, have a check through this list You also need to add a link to your legion membership profile: "Mandatory Information Link to your approved armor(501st record)"
  11. It can be incredibly helpful to have others lend an eye or even hands, all being well you will move along nicely
  12. Also check your measurements on the TD control panel and gaps to endcaps
  13. Congratulations and welcome to Expert Infantry and the EI Honor Gallery
  14. They are a little on the messy side, I think I would go over again. A good tip when using templates is to give a coat of white first, that way if there is any bleed through it is filled with white and not blue.
  15. Having someone knowledgeable around can definitely help your build progress
  16. To stop twisting and movement up you can add either velcro or snaps to the top of the front of the boots and also the inside of the shins, works well for most. Also adding some foam behind the sniper plate can help push it forwards away from the thigh.
  17. ^^THIS^^ Very common with GML's to encounter negative interactions, there's always some joker that flies off the handle, the really bad ones I post their costume photos in the GML sections of the main 501st forum, they are then judged by detachment staff, they don't seem to complain as much when it comes from detachment staff and it's too bad for them if more things are noticed
  18. You can find info of what is needed in this thread This one for snap setting
  19. Personally I think that is a little expensive, you would still need to make fit for you, purchasing and making your own would be a lot cheaper in the long run
  20. There are a few that have added shims to the ab and chest/back but I've not seen any other pieces expanded for size You can find a list of suppliers in the FOBG
  21. If you reference Justin's post above he mentioned an EIB submission which didn't allow the tab, I've seen both approved before perhaps the @Deployment Officer Team may jump in and confirm before you proceed Both EIB approved No tab Tab
