  1. Just noticed that on the backside of the trifold pamphlet Unquestioned Loyalty is written as Unqestioned Loyalty. Guess I should have read a little higher. Funny.
  2. Another great read. Will be looking for the pdf file of the brochures fo sure.
  3. It's not an unreasonable number. I remember when I got mine and went and looked up how many in my local garrison were EIB, was kinda surprised there wasn't more. When I first started this I was only aiming for 501st general approval. I was using build threads that were from troopers going for EIB and Centurian, so I'm not too far from Centurian, other than the no Hasbro allowed feature. have to sell the wife on that one. Eventually..
  4. I use the Icomm and Aker as well with the supplied mic. I have the Icomm velcroed inside my chest with the Aker hanging from my neck behind the Armor for right now. I use the voice activation setting because I didn't want anymore wires hanging around, especially one going all the way down to my hand. I pretty much have the mic inside my balaclava right against my mouth. I noticed that the static burst was really loud compared to my voice, but there's nothing that can really be done. My Icomm and Akbar are only inches apart and seem to work just fine. I only wish I could turn the static burst sound down a little. My Akar sits just at the start of the ab plate, I would try separating your setup a little to see if that helps.
  5. Sounds good. Good luck on your build as well!
  6. So, I used a spray can of truck bed liner on the inside of my RT-Mod helmet when I first got it. The ABS seemed thick enough that it wouldn't make the exterior of the helmet appear darker. Now I'm at the stage with my ATA helmet as well, however it seems a little lighter, so the ABS might be a little thinner. I'm just concerned that if I blacken out the interior it might show through. Fellow ATA owners, those of you who have done this mod to the inside of your helmet, did you do a white primer first or just go ahead with the grey/black? Thanks for your input.
  7. Enjoy it, I had a blast with my ATA kit!
  8. I used a truck bed liner spray in a can. Smelled really bad at first, after it dried though the smell went away.
  9. Congrats, your armor looks sweet.
  10. I loved my rare earth magnets during my build. I used clamps as well but the magnets were easier use. Plus there are some places the clamps I had wouldn't reach, like the middle of the thighs, for example.
  11. You'll get replies here. Here's my 2 cents. The shoulder bells could be closer to the straps and your biceps could come down a little to hide more of the black. Your sniper plate looks crooked but it could just be the photos. It seems to fit you well. What kind of armour is it? I'd wait until others chime in before you start changing stuff though. There are others here with a lot more experience.
  12. Your armor looks pretty sweet. I had my biceps sitting where yours are now and was advised to lower them a little to hide more of the black. I thought I would lose mobility but I actually got more. That's all I can really say. Nothing that should keep you from getting approved though. Just my 2 cents.
  13. Looks nice. Was going to mention the mesh on the teeth but you caught it. Nice build. Good luck!
  14. 5'11", 152 pounds, never trimmed any length off my ATA and it fits sweet.
  15. Thanks! Now to get it printed off and framed!
  16. Wes Pfneisl 7639 EIB Letter
  17. With so few people going for EIB I doubt it'll ever just go away. We're still not at 300 EIB's which isn't very many of us when you think of how many 501st approved there are. This is just my observation. From my less than 1 year of service to the Empire. Yeah, I'm still very new and shiny!
  18. Welcome. I have no experience with the TK Commander, eventually someone who does will chime in though. Good to see another Canadian!
  19. I've been considering adding the spring and bolt to my Hasbro. If I could bother you for the dimensions of the cuts you made for your that would be great. Also, what did you use for the spring catch?
  20. I will also be interested in the new certificates and some EIB patches. Things take time. Understood. Standing by.
  21. Thanks for all the congrats. I'll definitely look into moving the rivet on the knee belt soon as I return home. Just left for a 10 day trip back home and the armour didn't follow me. Thanks!
  22. Can't believe I missed something so basic. The lens in my helmet was the stock lens that the RT-Mod comes with. By no means is it green. I still had in my mind the Hero criteria that allows smoke colored so I never even though to change it. I was going for the hero until I decided to do the stunt. Realized this at 10:30 at night. The fact that I couldn't go to bed until I had the lens switched and the new pictures up either shows dedication or obsession. My wife bets on the latter one. Oh well. Here are the new pictures of the helmet showing the green lens. First the side by side comparison, A little darker for sure. And installed in the helmet with a light behind. Pictures were taken with my Ipad but they look decent enough.
