  1. I've been considering adding the spring and bolt to my Hasbro. If I could bother you for the dimensions of the cuts you made for your that would be great. Also, what did you use for the spring catch?
  2. I was just approved late this year. I've done 2 official troops, and one unofficial as just a test. Favourite one so far has got to be the first. Was at the Edmonton Expo. Think I was smiling the whole time inside my helmet. It was just awesome.
  3. I will also be interested in the new certificates and some EIB patches. Things take time. Understood. Standing by.
  4. Thanks for all the congrats. I'll definitely look into moving the rivet on the knee belt soon as I return home. Just left for a 10 day trip back home and the armour didn't follow me. Thanks!
  5. Can't believe I missed something so basic. The lens in my helmet was the stock lens that the RT-Mod comes with. By no means is it green. I still had in my mind the Hero criteria that allows smoke colored so I never even though to change it. I was going for the hero until I decided to do the stunt. Realized this at 10:30 at night. The fact that I couldn't go to bed until I had the lens switched and the new pictures up either shows dedication or obsession. My wife bets on the latter one. Oh well. Here are the new pictures of the helmet showing the green lens. First the side by side comparison, A little darker for sure. And installed in the helmet with a light behind. Pictures were taken with my Ipad but they look decent enough.
  6. I haven't had a single notification in 2 days. Maybe that's why there are 5 EIB Applications waiting? Or they are just busy. Understandable as this isn't anyone's full time job. How cool would that be though?
  7. Although I'm sure I'd be warm enough with some extra clothes under the armor, with all the snow that we've got I'm not going to risk it. Almost slipped and fell just walking to get the mail. Last thing I need is to take a spill while in armor. That could get kinda expensive. Thanks for all the input.
  8. Just noticed I missed a picture of my right shoulder strap. So that's been added now.
  9. I had a lot of fun the one day I was able to attend. Really enjoyed the exhibit as well. Looking forward to more trooping in Edmonton.
  10. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea. Gets kinda chilly up here in winter.
  11. Thanks, I had that tattoo in mind for quite some time. Just had to wait to get approved and get my TK number.
  12. Oh I have the long underwear all set out to wear under the black suit. Thanks for the input. I'll give it a try then.
  13. Just curious how the armour holds up to colder temperatures. Don't want anything to crack. Was going to take my daughter out trick or treating but I'll leave the armour at home if there is a chance it'll crack or the E6000 let's go. Anyone spend time outside in say minus 10 Celsius?
  14. Just for proof I ran downstairs, threw on the left boot, rolled up my pant leg, strapped on the left thigh and here's the way it usually looks from behind. Behold the power of the Blackberry Phone Camera. Hope it isn't too bad. I just want to show that the hole isn't visible.
  15. Ah yes, I see the left Shin. These pictures were taken after returning from a Halloween party. That hole you can see at the bottom of the left shin was an attempt to use the hook method of closing. After that failure I switched to velcro. When properly closed that hole isn't visible. I can redo a picture of the left shin if required. The thighs do come down more. Just had them up too high. I'll await word about the holster to see if it'll effect the approval. Thanks for the input!
  16. I think you may have answered your own question. A single male snap on the top right corner of the ab plate. Not kidney plate. Nothing that can't be fixed. Good luck with your EIB application, I submitted mine today. Oh the suspense!

It's based on how many posts you make.
  19. I'm pretty self sufficient as well, usually just need some help with the belt. Aligning it with the velcro I have running around the back, and then attaching the O2 Canister. Other than that the rest I can get on and done up. That being said there are usually others around to help. Don't be afraid to ask.
  20. I have 1 fan in my helmet. Keeps everything from fogging up and also gives some fresh air as it sucks air in through the mesh frown. Works really well.
  21. Butt join looks better. Might be a little more work but it'll be worth it.
  22. I used them for holding pieces together while waiting for the glue to set. Especially places where clamps wouldn't work.
