  1. I started with the TK in 2007 and started a TB in 2009. Got the helmet done and the body armor sitting in a box, along comes Dragon Con and I sold both the helmet and the body armor for party funds for D*C. There's always 2010 I guess.
  2. Problems with Dan? That's a shame. Sort of expected from Matt though.
  3. Can't say I'll even give this flick the benefit of the doubt. Now show me more pictures of Charlize.
  4. Too bad you cant see out of the eyes. Imagine doing the whole armor like that.
  5. As everyone else said... 1. You look fantastic 2. You're just now applying for EIB?! Easy pass! Great job bro!
  6. That does look really nice. Helmet looks superb!
  7. Its like recasting a Ford Pinto. Considering the price of resin, you can get the real thing cheaper.

Man you guys have it all wrong, Miss Tonia is a total sweetheart. I like her so much I sent her 200 bucks to help her get to her mother's kidney operation when she was trapped in Nigeria last month with no money. Western Union Rules!
  9. Congrats Billy!!!! It was bound to happen sooner or later!
  10. Well look on the bright side, you havent set yourself on fire yet. I dont remember which blaster it was but I was making the bayonette clip for one and sparks from the grinder set the chest of my jacket on fire. Re-enactment: *grind grind grind* sniff sniff "Man that smells like smoke...." "uhhh...Smitty....you're on fire...." *stop drop roll*
  11. Excerpts from the auction -- with commentary This unique and original new custom-made replica Stormtrooper costume is a perfect example and screen accurate, also known as the 'Shepperton Cut'. Known as the Shepperton Cut? I think they meant Shepperton recast... The Stormtrooper armour itself is made from high quality 2.5mm thick plastic that does not yellow or crack like many copycat kits can. Copycats? <_< This Stormtrooper armour does NOT require polishing creams, glue guns or any DIY products and is NOT a 'Kit'. Well that's a relief, at least their customers can use that cream on their bum when their costume arrives. The Replica Stormtrooper Helmet now looks 100% the same as the Stormtrooper in Star Wars 'A New Hope'. For those who know even with the mini eye lip. Yeah if you dont count the incorrectly painted frown, vocoder and the punched in the forehead Shepperton look. does not compare with others available all over the internet. Now thats an understatement The fully prepared Stormtrooper costume has been made in the UK with Love, experience and the best materials. No part of this beautiful replica costume has been imported, a true Shepperton replica. No mention of the "True FX Replica" from the neck down? I guess the FX name just doesn't sell as well as Shepperton's.... I think Jedi Robe might want to stick to selling robes....
  12. Rock and Roll buddy! That's looking nice. Nice idea scavenging the steel sheet from an old computer case. Its about half as thick as the stuff I used. It will be much easier to work with. If you weld your metal, chances are you'll blow it to pieces with the welder. Get some "JB quick" and extremely coarse sand paper. Scratch the joints up really good and the JB Quick should be just as good as an MIG welder. JB Quick is a version of JB Weld from the Auto store that sets up in about 5 minutes. I made my coils from coat hangers wrapped around broom handles too. The broom handle makes it the perfect size for fitting inside the pipe. Cant wait to see this one finished!
  13. I'm pretty sure ATA meets the requirements as far as kits go. Does it state somewhere that ATA is not accepted?
  14. That one looks like a mix of ANH and ROTJ rolled up into one. I'd get a different blaster for an attempt at making EIB.
  15. If your looking for cheap good quality armor, give ATA a shout. Guaranteed you'll be happier with ATA over this MoT 60 guage HIPS crap. ATA is HIPS too but its thicker than 60. I miss the CAP helmets, nothing beats a highly detailed face plate pulled in .100 guage.
  16. Maybe he should just stick to recasting MR E-11's. Just a thought.
  17. No gloves at all But now that my plate is finally cleaned off I'm working on something special as far as lens go
  18. Shipped out the T track left overs this morning. Enjoy! And thanks for everything.
  19. I have GF armor and it has the ROTJ overlaps. 2 cents added
  20. Final T track list updated. Alex, Im located on the US East coast. I'm definitely up for a game sometime. I gotta warn ya tho, I'm not much of a challenge.
  21. Rustoleum maintains its glossiness very well over time. I have had painted TE2 for 2 years now. Since I smoke in my house the paint has slightly yellowed. Not sure if its the smoke or age but I can hit it with Novus polish and ALMOST get a perfect match to my ABS. I didn't notice it much until I had it sitting side by side with my freshly painted ATA bucket.
  22. $75 refund sent to Dominic O. Thank goodness, I'm finally done! Time to use some downtime playing Starcraft.
