  1. Bill, that was a CAP helmet. Its basically just like an ATA but the ATA is just a wee bit smaller but still looks great. I think my next set of armor is gonna be ATA when I can swing the funds. The Mirror lens I used for that one was an item I got from THE MOTORCYCLE SUPERSTORE online called AFX FastShield. You can get it in all sorts of different colors. I paid about $25 shipped for the AFX fastshield.
  2. Polyseamseal Ultra Gloss White Caulk. You don't even have to paint it.
  3. I use Rustoleum Gloss Smoke Gray or Testor's 1138
  4. If the paint got scratched off it would be less noticeable than exposed white plastic.
  5. Bill thats the Artist Proof TX from Master Replica. Its what I was Modeling my TX bucket for. I sure would like to get my hands on some of those mirrored bubble lenses. Here's my finished TX ------------
  6. I think this one is it. I cant tell from work because the server is blocked here. If this isnt the pic I'll fix it when i get home. -----------
  7. Prices always seem to boom a little 'round Halloween time. I'd get ATA to pull one in black if thats an option. Would it be Black high gloss HIPS? Flat black HIPS wouldnt do you much good cuz you'd still have to paint it anyway. My recommendation: Get a plain ole' White ATA and gloss it black with Rustoleum. I've done it several times and they turn out great. I did one so glossy one time you could see next week's reflection in it.
  8. Call me dumb but whats EVO armor?
  9. Congrats on your 501st acceptance! EIB here you come!
  10. I don't see how that pic supports anything. You can't see the shoulder straps or the drop boxes. Plus didn't he say his armor was missing a leg in that scene? Even tho the left left isn't shown, it looks like there is a knee plate slightly visible which would mean he wasn't missing leg armor in that shot.
  11. I don't doubt the guys story, its believable. As far as the improperly assembled armor, how many times have we seen stromtroopers incorrectly dressed in the films. Being an extra in the background, it stands to reason that his costume was thrown together to look right from a distance and intermingled with other troopers. Additionally he states that his costume was said to be used in tunisia so the incorrect shoulder straps and lack of drop boxes only support his story.
  12. I sent you two pieces of T track just in case you boo boo the one piece. Dropped them off at the post office a half hour ago
  13. Ahhhhhh! Seeing the pictures now I see the T track dilemma. There is some confusion on T track when it comes to hasbro blasters. Theres only supposed to be 6 T tracks but the hasbro blaster has the wrong row covered up so will end up with 7 fins total. Some people correct hasbros mistake by sanding off the incorrect fin and drilling a row of holes in its place and then covering the row on each side with 2 pieces of T track for a total of 6 but if you don't correct hasbro's mistake you end up with 7 tracks in all. PM me your shipping information and I will send you the piece that you need to gain your EIB status. Great work on your armor by the way
  14. There are much better kits out there than the SDS
  15. Well you have the Original Trilogy and then the other 6 hours of worthless CGI crap.
  16. Glad to see you back here at the FISD again Tim!
  17. Hi David, you've been in high gear to make that kind of progress in 6 days great job and its looking outstanding. SA stands for screen accurate. TIM! Great to see you back in the game bro!!!
  18. Wow that does look different than mine. I wish I knew what the found part was. Looks like the center rectangle on that is recessed where on mine its raised. Oh well mine was the best I could come up with given the templates on the blaster builders club website. I still wish I could get the found parts for the ESB blaster alligator clips. As far as the hammers go, I couldnt find identical ones either. The closest I could find was the colt .45 pistol hammer but even it has some differences.
  19. Yeah I saw that crap at RPF too. Started by Gino of course with Gino lackeys in tow. Once again Mark thanks for showing this off. HDPE comes in all sorts of colors. We have a bunch of disposable canisters at work made out of HDPE. Some are white and others are milky clear. If you can locate the recycling triangle on the bottom of most canisters, it will tell what its made of. So far Ive seen HDPE and PS which I assume is polystyrene.
  20. It would have been snazzy to get some pics of the clear faceplate before you painted it. What if you got a whole bucket in clear and painted the inside flat white. I bet that would make for a sweet bucket.
  21. Yes you seek TE2, he's a stand up guy and his molds are probably the least tampered with out of all the providers of white plastic. Ive had several TK buckets pass thru my hands and I think his bumpy cap shows the most detailed bumps and character lines of all the helmets Ive owned.
  22. Just remember to let your paint job cure before sanding and repainting (rustoleum takes about 2 weeks to fully cure) If you don't you can expect your new paintjob to wrinkle up.
  23. yep shepperton recast....and an ugly one at that.
  24. Man that is beautiful! Where did you find the alligator clip greeblies? They look fantastic!
