  1. 4 shots of Jager, works every time.
  2. I'm disappointed with the situation. I noticed he has made his ebay feedback private; not a good sign. As a seller myself, I can understand getting behind and stuff. Heck I'm behind right now but i made significant catch up yesterday and today. I hardly ever have postage issues. This guy seems plagued with them. Case in point, If you can't make good on what you promise you will not succeed in this community as a seller. I guess his next step is to start a new ebay account and start over. If that happens then the deceit becomes obvious. Best keep a lookout.
  3. Happy B-Day to a guy that probably has the coolest Armor/Blaster combo in the known universe.
  4. Looks like a SFS to me. The vocoder is very sharp. Being late on orders is a common complaint with the seller. One guy was threatening legal action on the Dented Helmet forum. Not sure if it was ever resolved.

    TE armor

Have you considered getting a nice helmet and making the Rubies body armor up to snuff and going for a ROTJ look?
  6. Wow! Youre the only person I have ever heard of that had the patience to buff an entire set of matte HIPS armor to an ABS-like shine. Outstanding work you've done there.
  7. Sometimes he gets behind, There was a long wait for my Pulse Rifle kit but he made extremely good on it. Gave me a free Han Solo bust and a coupon for a free helmet or bust with my next order as well. Work with him, and be patient and I'm pretty sure he will take care of you.
  8. What kind of primer are you using? I dont sand any resin castings if I can help it. Sounds like your primer isn't bonding to the surface. When the paint flakes off, do you see resin or primer exposed?
  9. Yep ditch the wig. The pink nails rock! Grab an ATA bucket or an MRCE.
  10. Those look like genuine sterling parts from APEX. You can make them fit on a Hasbro but it would be less work to fit it on a scratch build not to mention it would look better. Also right off the top of my head I can tell you that the folding stock will be 2 inches too long for the Hasbro.
  11. It would be a total shame to put those parts on a Hasbro blaster. The scratchbuild is calling to you....do you hear it?
  12. Yep, that sounds about right! Good job Mike!
  13. That makes sense. And in that case, Ginos molds would be copies of the TE2 molds which I believe is the same thing that was done for the AP molds. That should make all three "brothers" and everything else recasted from kits made from those 3 sets of molds. It sure would be nice to know exactly how that deal went down. Since you cant trust TE, Gino stays tight lipped and AP got to the party late, I guess we'll never know.
  14. Best I can tell is the Gino molds and the TE2 molds are the same generation. The Gino molds being less cleaned up are more true to the originals whereas the TE2 being just a wee bit sanitized makes for a more troopable bucket while still retaining a collectable quality. I would choose the VT over an AP second. That's based solely on what I think would look better.
  15. All I get is a facepalm? Seriously Matt re-read what I wrote and ask yourself why is PT villified while ATA is cheered? They are in essence the same deed. I'm not out to make ATA look like a bad guy. Don't anybody get me wrong on that. ATA is a great armor option. Just using it as the perfect example of my point.
  16. Other than TM, what isn't a recast? The Gino molds never touched the inside of a screen used helmet and if I recall correctly, the TE2 molds were done at the same time as the Gino molds spurring the big argument between TE and Gino concerning the damage to the molds. Seems to me that both of those molds came from the same source so there apparently is a missing casting out there somewhere thats the father of both sets of molds. That missing casting was what was taken from the original screen used helmet. So due to all this hooplah-ha-ha every bucket cast from the DaveM/BrianR Helmets are in essence recasts of some nature. So then we all want to find out who are legitimate sellers of helmets based on the DM/BR castings and its never gonna happen thanks to good ol' TE's shennanigans. ATA is only "legitimate" because somehow or another a lack of objection was translated into "permission". The same person also didn't make objection to PT's act of recasting. So I guess that means he has permission too? I think everybody needs to just shut up and wear their armor. There are so many other dead horses we could be beating as this one has had enuff.
  17. Ive seen VT armor up close and its not lacking in detail. Pretty good stuff.
  18. Actually VT stands for "Vaccum This" not Vac Trooper. Don't Worry its happend before, Right Scootch? LoL VT is a great choice for ABS armor that is very accurate for those living in the USA. Trust worthy seller! It derived from TE's molds.
  19. I think anyone that recasts TM should be tarred and feathered. The last paragraph of my previous post was referring only to TE derived armor, who's history is so fubared even Gino, AP and TE2 don't know for sure if they have "legit" molds. And if you'd like to continue this then meet me here: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=8658 So anyway Paul, didn't Daniel do a great job buffing the matte HIPS to a glossy shine?
  20. Glad you made it through another one bud! Perhaps I should toss in some training wheels with you next order?
  21. ATA pulls in black ABS upon request? That would be awesome! Thats one thing the USA is lacking; A US supplier that pullsscreen cast armor in black ABS. The only ABS supplier in the states is VT. As far as I know he only does white ABS. Oh and by the way, great finish on that shoulder bell. I didn't know you could buff HIPS that glossy. How much work you got in that shoulderbell? I could see the more detailed areas like the dimples in the forearms being more of a pain. And why are we still going on about recasting. All armor derived from TE armor is a recast. It doesn't matter. To try to figure out who's legit and who's not, is impossible and only leads to hipocrisy and bickering. Enjoy your armor no matter who made it. Afterall you bought it. Its yours, wear it and be proud to be a TK
  22. Take into account as well that I smoke and that is definitely a factor. I figured the body armor would at least be showing a hint of yellow by now but its like its totally immune to yellow. In broad daylight you can't tell a difference between the helmet and the armor but it shows up quite prominently under flourescent lighting.
  23. Looks great at first but the paint will yellow faster than the ABS. I've got a painted TE2 with GF. My GF is pristine white and its 9 years old. My painted TE2 is 2 years old and there is a striking difference in color. But GF plastic is different than AP's. I have AP drop boxes that are a year old and they are already showing slight signs of yellowing. Not as yellow as the paint on my TE2 but not as white as the GF parts. Think later down the line. Different armors yellow at different rates. Also the color difference is screen accurate. Personally for trooping armor I think it looks better not to mix ABS and Painted HIPS. Head to toe one or the other makes for a better 501st image in my opinion.
  24. If its not an AP and its made of ABS, then I would lean towards a VT helmet. Who else pulls in ABS?
