  2. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4087124 Hi all, I just spent about 100 hours modeling an E-11 for 3D printing and giving it away for free. I made it as true to life as I could as well as adding in support for light and sound elements. It has: - Working trigger/selector with light and sound changes by mode - Light up scope - Addressable LED fire effects with focusing LED on front, range is about 10M with indoor light, not a laser so eye safe - 3D printed spring with cycling bolt - Removable magazine with battery inside - Removable rear cap with D ring mount - 3W speaker, as big as I could get to be heard in noisy areas - Plays the imperial march when you hold the selector for 3sec - discreet wiring guides, no wires are visible or in the way - Stock folds out and locks in place - All major parts are removable via snap lock or screws, so you can upgrade or replace anything without a full rebuild (and get at the electronics) I'm trying to improve the model as much as possible so feedback and suggestions would be appreciated. If anyone wants a custom TK number on the Hengstler let me know and I'll model one for you.

  12. I never really cared for these guys before, but the dude in the show really turned that around! Whoever the stuntman wearing it is, his swagger and overall body language really sold this trooper as a real badass. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk

  14. Thanks, but as I'm a little outsider, I'd like to go for the R1. As you stated, there is a lot of classics running around. But help in any way will be appreciated.

  16. Those biceps turned out fantastic, Jonathan! Smart move using the soldering iron for the strapping holes, just don't forget to seal the edges as well. Keep those photos coming!!

  18. Only a small update today but it’s something that I’ve been fretting a little about, mainly because of the shimming issue. But I don’t think it’s actually going to be an issue after all. Phew! Split rivets and webbing are installed on the left side of the ab and kidney plates. It may look a little wonky here but I was trying to hold it in place on the other side and take a picture at the same time. There was some weird contortion going on It is tight but not not uncomfortably so. Plus I was wearing normal clothes and not the proper undersuit. I will need to do some minor trimming and tidying up but that was expected and planned for. I don’t plan to paint these or re-attach the ab buttons until everything else is done. On the other side I also installed the Han Snap in the top corner. But that’s a boring picture.

  20. okay, thank you so much. it will be some time unfortunately for me to save up for the selling price. best case I will have the money to buy it by summer, worse case in two years. I will--during this time-- be researching all that I can. thank you all for helping me so much already and I look forward to joining your ranks.

  21. Busy time December is....well now January. I am getting back on making small progress. The holidays were busy and my first baby came into the world on Christmas eve. My little Stormtrooper. So, I adjust my cover strips to make them more screen accurate. Now with the left bicep completed (besides strapping) I have started working on the right: When I received my commissioned RS and reshaped and trimmed down the torso, I ditched the original style strapping that held the RS armor together. I appreciate screen accuracy but I replaced it with straps and snaps for convenience. I decided to buy a solder iron to help make the snaps on the nylon platforms/squares to be more secure and to prevent fraying for this build. As i realized some of my nylon squares and the quality of the snaps I bought have caused some issues over my year of trooping. I am not at the strapping portion yet but I am trying to gather all the materials I need (should have done this at the beginning ha ha)

  23. I came across a piece of ribbed material that I might be able to use to construct my own set of gaskets. Does anyone know how wide the spacing inbetween the ribs should be? Does the material need to be shiny like latex is or is semi-shiny cloth sufficient to use?

  32. Here is a link that has illustrations that outline the differences - these are a bit dated but give you the idea. There are a bunch of images there but this is the one that sums up the differences between ANH and ESB.

  35. If you are afraid that you may damage under the cover strip just slip a knife blade under the corner Rounded off or angle cut are both acceptable

  36. I wouldn't worry about removing them, Jonathan. A small file and/or some sandpaper will do the trick. It's more of an aesthetic thing and not a requirement at any level, but it certainly makes them look better (and more screen accurate).

  38. Welcome Alan to the greatest detachment !!! We are here to help !!! My best advice to you while you wait for BBB is : 1). RESEARCH, RESEARCH, & more RESEARCH the build threads here !!! You will get prepared for the “marathon”... 2. Ask questions send pictures ... 3. I am so happy [emoji2] you are where ur at.... EVERYONE has been through what you’re going through feelings of EXCITEMENT, HAPPINESS, ANXIETY, FEAR, & TIREDNESS are just a slew of emotions to be expected, but never feel you are ALONE ! 4. Spend 1-3 hrs every day working on your armor. I would spend more especially on my days off. Remember it’s ok to take time off and enjoy life and continue with refresh eyes. 5. DO NOT take short cuts ! 6. ALWAYS use E-6000... ALWAYS ur armor will thank you [emoji4]!!! 7. Get good & comfortable leather boots. I strongly recommend IMPERIAL BOOTS. They are approveable and nice boots. 8. Get to know what EIB & CENTURION are and build to their specifications. (You will thank me later [emoji1417] !!! There is nothing plenty more, but we will get to it later .... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  39. Absolutely correct. As stated there are differences, even within the same film (ANH) there are Stunt TKs and Hero TKs. Checking the CRls will explain them in detail, but for visual references I have a thread here which will help:

  40. Major plot spoilers: 1. We will all watch it. 2. Most of us will enjoy it and watch it again. 3. There will be a few parts some people may not like, and they will wingh about it forever 4. Star Wars will live on, and the Legion will keep going, 'cause it's just that cool.
