Aaand... Approved! I did jump over some steps regarding going back and forth with the coat weathering, but hey, No one needs to see that slog. I do want to thank my GML Daniel @TheSwede for helping me along the way, it probably would've been a lot harder without him. Thank you too, everybody else that's been watching this build, it's been a year, but it's finally done!2 points

My modified SDS ANH Hero Stormtrooper kit was approved by the Bloodfin Garrison's Membership Liason on Oct 30, 2022 to Level One CRL specifications. Thanks Scott! My newly assigned 501st Legion membership number is TK-42727 Thank you to everyone who chimed in with guidance getting my SDS TK kit modified to get this first level of approval. Next step is to start aiming for Level Two & Level Three Centurion approvals.1 point

Hi everyone, I'm really sorry for my lack of posts over the past week or so, life has been so hectic, but I'm getting back into the swing of things! I have a few verbal updates for you all, and I will hopefully be able to provide some photos to support that this evening! - I received my 2 sets of replacement ears from Trooper Bay, which I will use to practice fitment on my helmet - I have fixed the paint on my vocoder and mic tips to hopefully increase the accuracy of the helmet - Both of my biceps have been completed - I cut out both thighs, and have glued one. It seems to fit nicely! I'm very happy and grateful that this armor kit seems to be bigger than Walt's, which helps me a lot. The abdomen and kidney meet without shims, the chest is wider, and the thighs are bigger. With all that said however, I do still need length in the shins and forearms, so I'm just waiting to hear back from Walt on when hes able to ship the extended ones! Thank you all for you help and support thus far, and I cant wait to continue this build!1 point

Owen, I would expect to easily be upwards of the $1,000 mark once you are fully kitted out. As referenced above the armor is just part of it. There's paints, gloves, soft parts such as your under suit, balaclava if you wish, neck seal, gloves. nylon straps, possibly a belt, velcro, sewing and stitching materials, Boots. Then the question of do you want a blaster? What materials, pre-made, part of a kit? It might sound overwhelming but it is all worth it in the end.1 point

Thanks! Not sure how I didn’t notice the huge gap on the chest wings. I’ve refrained from trimming my ab armor around the top but I have seen some troopers cut some out of the middle in the top so it’s not pushing out at the center point. I’ll try raising the armor before I do that though since that may bring everything flush. I usually criss-cross my suspenders for the ab armor but it seemed a little high the other day but maybe I was mistaken. I’ll give it another shot. Thanks again! Nice work trooper Belt is looking a little low I would also look at raising your ab as it looks very low, this will also bring up your cod and butt plate which will give you more room at the top of the thighs. You can also see your chest plate is being pushed outwards from the top of the add and looks to be angled (big gap at bottom of wings) Rear closures need to be level but also should close outside over inside so the openings aren't seen from the outside. Butt plate hanging low Back plate also looks very small It's all about final adjustments and fit, a few tweaks here and there1 point

Hello! You have a great looking kit, and I think it's awesome you are trying to take your armor to the highest level. Regarding your forearms and biceps.....yes they are a little big and I understand the idea of putting some padding. The thing is that even with padding, the gaps where your arms are exposed will still give away that those armor pieces are a little big. You could try and just trim small amounts first. Size them a little smaller and then add some padding and see if that works. I also dont think sizing down your arms will make it look disproportionate and sizing down little by little will help you not get to that point. Maybe trim them down by a 1/4 inch, tape them together with masking tape, take pics, get opinions and then trim again.1 point

And... TIME! Officially, it ended up being 18 days from placing my order to BBB Day. Not bad... Not bad at all. Here's what Denuo Novo's About Us page says: denuo (dē-nuō) -once more, a second time novo (noh'-vō) -to make anew, revive, change, alter, invent. I think it's fair to say that Denuo Novo has lived up to their name. I also know that there's a lot of people out there who are still jaded by Anovos, but I think the new company is doing a good job at putting that stigma aside. Regardless, I have another TK kit I'm finishing up, then I need to prioritize a few builds. Anybody have an extra TFA bucket they want to get rid of???1 point

I know I’m bringing back an old thread, but I found this when I was looking for something else. Not sure if you’ve fixed your thigh armor issue, but I was having the same problem with the thighs I bought with a used kit. The belt would slip down, allowing the thighs to slip too. So I bought tactical suspenders that have straps with hooks that go around the belt. I tighten those as much as I can while still being comfortable, and the thigh armor stays right in place.1 point
