January 24th 2022 Joseph Pedigo (justjoseph63) as many of you can attest, gone over and above, consistently doing something to benefit the detachment. Things that go well outside of his deployment office duties, year upon year. Everything he has done was of his own volition, and done with passion for the benefit of as many members as possible. I find no one more deserving of this, our detachments highest accolade, and feel privileged to be able to bestow it on Joseph for his continued and outstanding efforts over so many years of service. Thank you Joseph, your "How to" guides are legendary, your sales items incredible in detail, and your generosity and loyalty unquestionable. Please join me in congratulating Joseph on this hard earned and well deserved award. With unquestioned loyalty TK11469 "Sly11" DL11 points

Congratulations once again Ardeshir. For anyone following and using this for future reference for their own applications as many do, Ardeshir is correct this is not currently a CRL requirement but may very well be in future once the TLJ / TROS CRL is finalized, thread here. Some good examples of differences of blaster details in each of the movies can be found in that thread, some interesting combinations also used in TROS. In regards to the inconsistency of details, we see this in a lot of movies so a "generalized overall look" is used, in other words what most troopers had been seen with. We know some blasters from TFA had been used as well as in TROS, but references are used of what is generally seen and produced for that particular movie. One of the main images with close up and used as a reference is the execution scene, notice this troopers F-11D has the light rail and also the white rectangle ring (D ring) (so does the trooper on the other side, image below), which many others also had. BUT there are instances of other variations, this is called a "Mr Nostripes" situation, seen in the movie but a one off (or two or three) like "Mr Nostripes" in ANH. White rectangle ring (D ring) Other instances of the light rail Execution scene background characters Phasma scene And from the deleted scene Behind the scenes TLJ (also note the holes in the top of barrel) And the only instance of a light mounted from a LFL display. Interestingly it also had a mount on the other side just under the barrel for a sling. Sling mount Personally I think the light was a little overkill, which LFL may also have thought so not used, the blaster already has a light mounted in the front just under the muzzle. Apologies for derailing3 points

Like I always say, you’ve got a meticulous eye for detail brother and really do your research, which is why your builds are outstanding. Real works of art. Love these little details you note in your builds from time to time. Well done and we’ll deserved. Congrats!1 point

Hi Merlin. I'm the D.O. making your review, sorry for delaying but I had some issues with my pc. In order to continue I will need you to do a couple of small fixes and add a some additional photos please. 1- As the Crl states for L2, Any gap between the abdomen and kidney armor is no more than 1/2" (12.5mm) wide. Your left (ab/kidney) section is perfect with no gap, but looking at the left one, It will be a bit tedious , but we need you to suit up and take some new pics (both sides) with your belt or strapping tightened a bit to close that gap some. It doesn't have to be EXACTLY half an inch (or less) THANKS! Reference Image 2- Required for L2 is the ABS belt button covers- they should be square, not rounded off on the corners. It looks like you used E-6000 to attach them so I think this should be a pretty easy fix for you brother. Reference Last easy fix brother . Looking at your nice looking E-11 blaster, specially that real Sterling magazine (nice touch) , we noticed some printing lines and as the Crl states for level 2 "3-D printed blasters can not contain visible print lines, and must be sanded smooth for a more realistic appearance." So we'll need you to take some minutes to give another touch with some Bondo glazing putty and a bit of sanding. Finally, please add the following photos: A- Photo of your Thigh ammo pack inner sides to check the rivets type. (both sides) example B- Photo of your Left side AB/Kidney connection without canvas belt to check the 6 rivets position. C- Photo of your TD showing the metal clips and screws. Thank you .1 point

This is one of those items that is a suggestion, Ben. In the grand scheme of things it's one of those little details that very, very few would actually notice, but is in line with the majority of the references we have so we routinely mention it for the sake of accuracy. Also, some references show it sitting higher and some show it sitting lower. The important thing is that it is present and adheres to the CRL requirement, so not a deal-breaker for Centurion. Here are a few more references:1 point

okay, that sounds good. I'll be working on it more this weekend. Not likely getting to the stripes but hopefully making progress.1 point

Hi Ardeshir, and thank you for your Centurion application! CRL and CENTURION Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of CENTURION. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. Note that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. We would suggest changing out 2 items: -As you have seen in your Executioner application, we noticed that the picatinny rail is a bit long, should only have 2 raised sections (ribs) in the center and the holes are close to the ends as seen in the reference images below. Reference images -The D-ring you presently have is an actual D-shape as opposed to a more square shape. Reference image Congratulations on your 7th Centurion.1 point

Just a tip but if you give it a light mist spray with black when sanding it will show any low spots or lines1 point

I've never run one down, so I'm not sure. After 4 hours of continuous use one was still going strong. I keep a couple spares in my bucket bag but haven't needed one yet. I had to look it up. Yours is 180 grams. The lipstick ones are less than half that at 80.1 point

Ok, tried playing around with the forearms as it can be difficult to get my hands past the hole First version Cut the plastic at an angle, then basically forcing it back at the wrist. A zipper would pull the two sections together. Downside is not a lot of room at the wrist and the plastic would need to be cut multiple times to get everything straight. Still plenty of room when the wrist is closed Second version: Use the top plate to cover (no cutting in half) Magnets to hold the top plate on the forearm 2 posts center the box, magnets hold that on the plate Box would be glued to bottom plate, magnets would keep tension on the posts top rail would be glued to the box Look from the wrist end Issues: The plastic near the elbow limits how much the wrist end can open up. But the top plate works like a charm. Third version: Will make a zipper the full length, no plastic as a bridge. Then I just put in on like an eighties leather wrist band (showing my age), and zip it up. Plenty of room for my hand. Then put the top plate on with magnets and should be good to go. Will update once I get the new zipper. Please note this is a test mule, final version will be much nicer.1 point

Looking good, should be fine for basic approval, as always that is up to your GML (garrison membership liaison) If aiming for higher levels be aware of that your sides of the ab and kidney looked stepped in this image and should be level. For L3 you will need to fill the shim seams on both sides. Shim on your right side is overlapping Ear screws are protruding and should be counter sunk Using a bigger drill bit by hand you can removes some of the plastic Backplate over lapping kidney on rear To be picky the belt could come down a little at the front, L3 The top of the ABS ammo belt should sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical abdomen button panels. Hope to see you approved soon and submitting for higher levels, good luck1 point

July 6th 2021 Sometimes it is beyond a shadow of a doubt that a member stands apart from the rest, not on occasion but on a consistent basis. Glen Rhodes has dedicated an enormous part of his time to the members of this detachment and to maintenance and upkeep of these forums. He has been intrinsic in the revamp and clean up and given nothing less than 110% at everything he has applied himself to here at FISD. This will be the second time Glen has more than earned this accolade placing him in a very select group indeed. I believe his work and dedication shows clear merit.
