Daniel, thank you very much brother. Appreciate the time and consideration by you and the entire D.O.Team. Means a lot. And appreciate the notes and detailed information. I will for sure do what I can to meet all of these and see you guys in the Centurion application soon. I may start that process asap. These changes will not take me long to do at all. I did not know about that gap needing to be filled on the thigh, easy peasy. I will have that done today, same with the pouch, again that is easy and not a problem at all. The ear on the helmet is just a bad photo. The angles are better and I will show that in the next photos. They may not be perfect match, but they are damn close. I may ask for some grace in that since the helmet is completely sealed up and wired with insane comms in it and the whole thing is lined with felt. So I will take a look at how deep I can get in that. But the new photos may show that they are much closer to matching than it shows here. Alignment on the arms noted and will ad an adjustment to strapping that will align those even tighter. Daniel and the D.O.Team. Thank you everyone for everything. For me this process is always such an inpatient waiting game hahaha because I am always so eager to hear what you have to say and do what you recommend. haha So thank you everyone for always being so encouraging and inspiring. Honored by this. Ardeshir2 points

You have pretty good sized gaps in the second photo, so it looks like you will need that room. The way they are pinched together in the first photo will probably not be comfortable, and while walking it may cause the Velcro to come loose (if you are planning on using that as the method to keep them closed). A way around this is to put cover strips behind the openings on each side. Doing this will give you more surface area to glue the outside cover strip to, as well as more surface area to attach the Velcro. The second pic shows that the outside cover strip would cover all the gaps. Since you are aiming for Centurion () the large space on the ridges cannot be there, so you could trim them down (mobility cut). Just make sure not to go past the bottom of the ridge (red arrows).2 points

Hi again Ardeshir and thank you for your EIB application. In this review I will ensure that your armor follows the requirements set out in the CRL L2 Expert Infantry Badge and also point out what I can to prepare you for Centurion, should you choose to apply. I hope you do! Let´s get started shall we! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required submission photos have been posted and I am very pleased to announce your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for HWT Expert Infantry. On behalf of myself and the entire D.O.Team, Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. Note that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions As we navigate through this review we are going to start from the top and work our way down. We only havea few things to mention here and first is to see if you can even out the position of the ears by moving the left back a tad to mirror the right, this is a computer generated Trooper after all and should be symetrical, unlike some other crappy ANH Troopers with bits all over the place Next up is a simple dressing issue, making sure the ridges line up. Lastly is just a mention to perhaps scuff up the ammo pouches, it´s not something mentioned in the CRL or seen in visual reference but it seem logical to have them match the armor - the choice is yours Centurion Requirements: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. More photos may be requested in the future that allow us to make better decisions on possible adjustment etc. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. Below you will find areas that will need to be adressed for a future succesfull Centurion Application. Only two things to mention here and first is to have the pouch hanging more straigt as seen in the reference material. Next we have the gap in the thigh were we suggest some abs paste for a prestine look. And that´s it! You really took the suggestions to heart and now you have an outstanding HWT2 points

Hello all! Wow thanks for the responses! Just about to do some fitting for the torso. As for the answers about the E6000, sadly our local Spotlight didn't have any small tubes of E6000. I know that is the go-to glue for trooping, but the glue we have is working a treat! If we do need to get some, I'm sure I can find it cheap on ebay! Hello, so I'm to understand that the female velcro can just stick right onto the tops of the back piece and the male just go underneath the shoulder strap? thank you! Thank you, me and Dad will definatly use this!2 points

Coming along nicely. I added some snaps to the belt and ab/butt plates to help keep the belt held up, may be an option if it's too saggy.2 points

Daniel is absolutely correct about the eyes. What you have now is perfect, and I honestly wouldn't touch them. As seen in the photos he provided, they were all a bit wonky in some areas, which adds to their charm. Finding ABS that matches the Anovos color may be a tall order, but ATA would be the one to get in touch with about acquiring some replacements. You may be good to go with the Anovos ones, but before gluing them on I would suggest posting up a few pics to make sure you have enough overlap of the Velcro to keep them in place.1 point

Not sure what you mean? Eyes look fine to me For back of shins they should be 25mm, did you perhaps get them mixed up?1 point

That’s it! You can even consider doing the black square in the CommPad. That was recessed too. Here’s further reference to all wrist/CommPad detail. Pics are from my personal repository. No credit details available. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro1 point

Hey everyone! Back with another update! First off... Shins I've glued the outsides of the shins together, and then added a strip of Velcro down the insides. Now the shins are almost done. Here's a funny looking picture of the glueing setup. Also I took a page out of TheSwede's book, er build thread and clipped the corners of the inner strips. Just because no-one sees it doesn't mean it can't look nice! Shoulder Connectors Trimmed and almost ready for glueing. Knees Knees are trimmed as well. Untrimmed Trimmed Forearms The forearms are almost ready to be glued, I just have a question about the wrist end. At the moment, I can get my hand through, although it's kinda a squeeze. So can I take any more of the edge off? Or is it about right. (I also need to finish sanding) And thats pretty much it. Until next time1 point

It couldn't hurt, and that is actually a very good idea, James. I like the way you plan on making that inner shim wider... excellent! If you haven't cut them to width yet, you can (and probably should) make the outside cover strips about 5mm wider than normal. It will not affect approval at any level, and will give you a little more surface area to work with.1 point

I know your next step with this armor, Centurion. is it not ?1 point

Thank you buddy. I take your suggestions very very seriously. So I will definitely be looking at what I can do with it for sure. Thank you again beyond words. Ardeshir1 point

The ear-thing was just a suggestion so no work needed on that unless you feel it´s someting you decide to do for yourself, nothing needed to reach Centurion The honor is ours Ardeshir and I look forward to review your Centurion application1 point

Way to go, Ardeshir! You have a few small issues, but I'm sure you can get these done quickly and I expect to see that Level 3 submission soon!1 point

Hello! We have decided into looking at getting some E-6000. I've been going over the CLR with my Dad, and have decided that we will go for the Level 3 Centurion, not the Basic. As my dad would like to get it accurate, as he loves the movies. We know it can be a bit more expensive, but we are up for the challenge are already having alot of fun making it already!1 point

With the blaster, all I really needed to do (I think?) was to paint the t-tracks. I had originally planned to do a complete respray but decided to get out a paint brush instead. After doing the t-tracks I also painted the main grip again as it had a few trooping scars. I’ve been trooping it with my ST, yes I know it’s not technically the right E-11 but here we are. In the end both the t-tracks and main grip have a more plastic look. Will take pics once it’s all dried and cured. I also re-glued one of the latex hand plates to the gloves again. Just some adjustments to the kidney to butt connections and I’m ready for a L2 photo shoot I think!1 point

+1 for E-6000 at Spotlight as @gmrhodes13said. You can get it cheaper on sales etc through eBay but Spotlight if you need it in a hurry. Where about here in Australia are you based? EDIT: Ah Knightfall Garrison. Greetings from the Southern Cross Garrison!1 point

Regarding the cracking, flexible body putty is your best friend with this armor but even then maximum thickness of that material is 1/8". To truly help reduce cracking you'll need to fill in seams with material that won't flex like plastic welder. Lastly and just as important if the paint doesn't flex with the plastic you'll be dealing with paint cracking issues regardless. Things to think about. Good luck brother we;re here to help if we can.1 point

Looking great so far, Thomas! Nice to see you are using interior cover strips, which will add strength to the joins. These are especially important for the shin (calf) pieces, which get a lot of use from opening and closing them while suiting up. Keep the photos coming, and if I could make a recommendation it would be that when in doubt, ask before cutting or gluing.1 point

Progress report: So far I have pretty much roughed all pieces together. Going through some sizing and fitting mock-ups. I have placed my order with Geeky Pink for the harness, seals and shiny shorts. Picked up a set of gloves from Imperial Boots. Got my compression undersuit. I’ve also added fans to the helmet, and started to make the snap pieces to attach the cod and butt to the torso. I’ve constructed the belt also. Just need to find a way to keep the back part of the ribbed rubber strip attached to the belt webbing. It’s tricky because it needs to be able to be adjusted for size, so I cannot permanently affix it to the webbing around the back and side near the clip. I’ve tried Velcro but it doesn’t stay attached to the rubber. I’ll have to do some more research. Also, I’m already starting to get some cracks in the sides of the torso and the shoulder areas of the yoke. I’ll have to re-sand, fill and paint again. So far the major flaws in this kit is that the parts that will be flexing the most, from just putting the armor on, are also the parts that have been pieced together and are structurally weak points. I wish that the torso and the yoke was one single piece of material for each. I’ve still got a lot of work ahead of me.1 point

Avoid them like plague. If you are looking to make a TK Commander, look for CFO or Troopermaster in the vetted maker list. You might want an ANH helmet to go with a ROTJ body, they can tailor make that for you (a ROTJ helmet with flat lenses is also acceptable I think at entry level, but might want to check with your Garrisons membership officer or our deployment officer here on FISD first).1 point
-
As already said that would be a BIG NO. Lost of info in the getting started section, you could also look at some others build threads as many state what their armor is in the titles1 point
-
Definitely no to Jedi Robe, that armor is terrible and very outdated, and is definitely not worth the money. Check out some of the vetted sellers from this link: These makers will be much better quality and will be much more accurate. Good luck with the build!1 point

I miss Coruscant, they just kinda left it after TCW. Fortunatly we have the last season on the horizon!1 point
