  1. Hi. I have no clue if I've done it correctly (I'm old)but I just wanted to ask ask if any of you folks are in my area for help/advice building my tk armour? I'm disabled, and don't even/ ever think I would get to wear it,but it's something I've always wanted! So advice, guidance, help and support would be great please. Regards and fingers crossed Michael

  2. I have two complete armor sets, one dedicated to being a dirty HWT and the other to being a clean/shiny trooper. Honestly I only wear the clean kit when requested. I throughly enjoy being a dirty HWT and that is my go to....Clean TK’s are boring.

  3. Thanks. I don't know what I was doing with my arms. I'll have to secure the drop boxes so they don't slide forward when the belt is on.

  4. Greetings from RT-MOD!For the past year and a half, I have been collaborating with Pandatrooper (of Panda Props and Costumes) on the fabrication of RT-MOD armor. Not only has he helped produce armor in his own shop and delivered to my high standards, but he has has helped upgrade many of the molds and bucks to create a more accurate version of the RT-MOD armor. Many elements within the costume have been updated for more accuracy or have been improved in terms of quality, comfort or wearability. Everything is still being fan-made from scratch based on photo references, and scaled up slightly to match the proportions of the current RT-MOD armor. But the time has come for me to officially pass the torch. Going forward, Pandatrooper will be the main contact and fabricator for RT-MOD armor. There will be a new contact email and updates on the latest version of the armor and helmet will be posted soon. As well, there will be some cool upgrades we think you will like! I would like to say I could not have asked for a better, more dedicated individual and have full confidence in Pandatrooper and his skills in carrying the RT-MOD torch. I believe he has a unique skill and dedication that will show in maintaining a high level of quality, care, attention to detail and craftsmanship. Please give him some time for the transition, as well as restocking supplies and also allow him to catch up on some back orders.Keep in mind that RT-MOD has and will be made for fans and hobbyists as time allows. We all have lives and need to take care of that first. From simple beginnings in 2002 to here now in 2019 it has been my pleasure to be able to outfit the bigger trooper candidates with high quality, accurate gear and have enjoyed the fandom and camaraderie of those who partake in the hobby. I want to thank everyone in this community for their support over the years. RT-MOD would not be around without you!

  5. It's finally here! BBB day! Everything seems to be in perfect condition. I still need to get the grey PVC for my TD. I'm thinking of starting with the helmet and then moving on to the rest. 7. Still waiting to see more of the BSP kits as there is already some chatter on FB that parts are not accurate and will not pass 501st but we still need more pictures and information.

  8. Be sure to test fit with your undersuit and boots. The left shin can can very easily become “too” snug. I’m speaking from experience here.

  10. I think there is pretty strong evidence that's exactly where our kits went. You can see the Anovos forearm cutout pretty clearly in the picture. And if you count both parks that is a pretty good chunk of kits. First it is a theory but then when there is actual proof, looks like we were all taken by Anovos to support Disney. The signature Anovos 90 degree forearm cutout.... Then we have the Rise of the Resistance pictures.... Add this evidence to the fact that Anovos is supplying the shops in Galaxy's Edge and there you have the trail of our missing kits.

  12. I know not everyone who ordered the armour is on here or the fb groups. But in total there are about 5 confirmed kits on them. Even if only 25% of the kits belong to members here and FB that would only be around 20 kits in the wild. What’s really annoying is the photos from the SWGE ROTR with all the troopers in Anovos kits. Seems that Disney got supplied, whilst everybody else waits.

  13. Good shout. I’ve glued the biceps and thighs tonight. Forearms need to be able to open to get my wrists in, so that will be magnets. Shins will be Velcro on the inside leg. The Anovos kit is paper thin around the rear of the neck area. Maybe less than half a mm. Adding some plastic sheet inside. Photos to follow once it’s dried. I’m guessing that all of the early Anovos kits needed reinforcing inside too. It doesn’t look pretty, but it’s needed to keep the flex to a minimum. Hopefully they start to get some kits out soon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. Yes, other than one or two going out months ago I really don't think there is any evidence that Anovos has been shipping any kits at all. I am afraid their Q3 delivery is just another bunch of BS at this point.

  20. I will be placing foam inside the thigh, I do not have any room in my shins.

  21. No worries, man - we all started somewhere. I don't believe I saw photos of your right shin and only of one bicep, so the jury may still be out on those. Feel free to post more pics from more angles tho - you wearing the suit is helpful because fit is as important as finish. Very little is beyond fixing, some just takes more work haha I would definitely save any scrap plastic that you trim off and look into making up some ABS slurry using acetone - it will help with blending your shim in and filling the rivet holes - don't throw the trimmings away! But yea, looking forward to see more pics and your progress. I gave you a LOT to chew on, so let us know if you have questions or need links. Also, no need to reply to people individually with the same thanks - we're all here to either learn or help haha Maybe just toss em a thumbs up!

  22. I also encourage u create a build thread and take & post pix in it . When u apply to EIB, it will ask for your build thread link. It helps keep track of your progress and we can communicate through there as well ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. Thank you so much sir! That was what I was looking for when I posted this. I have someone helping me out that has centurion status that lives close by that I just found out about after I posted this. I just wanted to know if I need to replace like my right shin or biceps for example that would require me to order a whole new part. You response was extremely helpful and answered what I was looking for perfectly. I was nervous that I needed to order new parts for my kit because they were beyond fixing. I felt that posting here to see if I need to physically replace parts would save me so much time and effort because I would know ahead of time to replace certain parts before I put in all the effort. Again thank you so much!

  24. Thanks for the advice. I contacted his facebook page and it looks like I am going to be getting some replacement drop boxes. Hopefully the color of plastic is not too much of a different shade of white. Good to know that I don't need inner boxes for basic, but I am hoping to get expert or better for this kit

  25. Nice work a couple of things you could address before one of the DO's gets here. You have your pauldron on the wrong side in a lot of your images, there is nothing in the CRL in regards to the pauldron emblem, you may need to supply some reference material with you matching that particular trooper, here's one I have handy Animated style pauldrons are also a little different that the ANH style and are really should not be puffy, although it may be ok for EI it won't pas centurion. Pauldrons are a lot larger too and almost cover the entire chest Appears your ab button/plates may need to come down more as some of them and top detail can't be seen. Also shoulder bells should come up more and inwards at the top, if you compare with image below they sit higher than the shoulder straps Your shins aren't close at the back Greaves close in the back across the seam that lines up with the thigh seam via velcro or snaps. Greaves may utilize a white cover strip over the rear seam. Shins are at a different height. Animated trooper has quite a large gap between the thighs and cod section, also TD is central to the belt (height wise) Sides of ab/kidney are a little cleaner you may want to blend in the joins, mainly the belt and try to match the coloring . Drop boxes align more to the centre of the sides Trap stickers appear a little large. You will also need to post up close up images of the sides and back of helmet. A few teaks and I'm sure you'll get there. You could also edit your title Create a post with the title format: "TK-XXXX Requesting [ANH|ESB|ROTJ|REBELS|etc] EIB Status" Good luck

  31. So I bought one of those and I’ll be honest, it’s not really great. Thin leather, flaps don’t stay closed. I was able to make 3 pouches with templates I found here ( ---------------) and they look much better and didn’t cost all that much more per pouch to produce.

  36. Still dealing with health issues so haven’t made as much progress this summer as I was hoping. I did get to all of the armor parties and they were a big help (not to mention super fun!), thanks @MoSc0ut! It was great to meet you and Liam and find out that you guys live down the street! I’ll definitely be messaging you soon to beg for help Trimming is close to done now for nearly all of the armor except for the legs, getting cover strips cut for all four arm pieces while watching Monday night football, and just about ready to glue them together now. Before I do, I’m curious to hear people’s opinions about cover strips that smooth out the differences between pieces (as below), as opposed to the more screen accurate straight across edges... To bevel or not to bevel?

  37. I'd suggest contacting Walt and showing him the images, they clearly look to be all the same size. You would have to trim down one side right to the curve to get them to fit I side and they wouldn't look right in my opinion. FYI you don't need the inner boxes for basic approval

  38. Guess I’ll try to help out. I’m not Centurion and obviously if you want to get the title of Centurion through this forum you need to explore the option of EIB first. It’s a “rank” based program you need one before the other. Normally people apply for EIB through the EIB section of the forum and you get lots of valuable feedback. You, I assume unknowingly, skipped the step and obviously got none. You can also get your armor to Centurion specifications and not apply for the title just because you want it that way doesn’t mean you have to apply for the title. I’d just advise about calling yourself Centurion without having the forum title, it might get people around here upset. As for the armor itself it looks pretty well made. I’m no pro just a guy answering I some questions but it looks like the bolts on the TD would need to be replaced, cod snap added, hovi tips need painting, probably a few other things mentioned in the CRL I’m missing. Some people will probably say your brows too low, your ears are a degree off as well, but I don’t think that’ll hold you back. Most of it is probably cosmetic but not seeing the pics of you with the armor on makes it hard to see how it fits. The link below should take you to the EIB section (if I added it properly). Make sure to check the CRL as stated above and apply for EIB first. Both titles are going to require an application and various pics of you in armor and close ups of other pieces. Good luck and feel free to ask questions someone will help you out. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/19-request-expert-infantryman-status/

  39. If I may, I shall add a little background to the story of EIB and Centurion wihtout going into all the explicit details. If we go back in time to the early days of the first produced fan armour "FX", it was all that was available so everyone sported FX armour. Later on some armour became available that had screen linage and molds were taken and more accurate armour produced. Expert infantry was introduced as a way to make FX armour a little more screen accurate than it was. If we move on in time and having more accurate armour available again, Centurion was introduced as a new higher level of accuracy. Think rivets paint colours snaps how the armour is trimmed etc etc. Now FISD has never had a problem with those that had EIB going the extra mile to achieve Centurion, those numbers are pretty good, but we still have very few that build TK armour making the minor difference and applying for EIB, considering the total number of TK's in the legion. Due to this, we offer more incentives for a member to want to build to the EI spec, be it the exclusive EI coin or the ability to build all our TK costumes to that next level and receive the additional stars for doing so. In recent times we introduced the March to 1000 campaign, yet another inducement that includes special merch in order to entice more troopers to step up and make the very easy changes required to meet the Expert Infantry level. There is much more to this story but I didn't want to create a TLDR post
