  1. Ok thanks for the feedback. I honestly didn't expect to get it in one. I knew the legs were a little loose but I was cautious on the cuts. I retrimmed the Legs and the glue is drying so I'll update as I can. Thanks

  3. Hey Sven, just stumbled across your build, and I can only join my fellow troopers and say you did a really good job so far If you need advice on how to cut the backs of thighs and shins you could have a look at my build if you like, I had the same problem (same goes for the ammo belt, but as I can see you have solved this problem a lot better than me). Not long now and we can welcome another TK to the German Garrison, and it's great to hear you're planning on going the extra mile to EIB and Centurion - from what I saw in your build you're already building towards it, so once you're approved there shouldn't be much that'll need correction. So keep it up!

  5. That's a good thought - I hadn't really noticed the difference in shape, but looking at the CRL image, the shoulder bells do seem rounder. I'll probably give that a go - they are definitely large on me.

  6. Another small update nearing completion. I glued the shoulder bridges to the chest, the big and 4,5 small ridges on the chest plate, the rest is floating free: I fought with the sniper plate and glued on the left side, but no pictures here, as there is not much to see under all the painters tape and all the clamps. I attached the ammo pack to the right thigh. 7mm single cap rivets, now painted white, all in the "RS Suit" configuration: Interrestingly enough after fastening the second rivet, the pack was in the position on the pictures. It might be that I don't need any glue to hold it up. But only time will tell. The belt is done so far, only the straps on the drop boxes have to cure: Last thing I did today was glueing the elastics to the thighs. The loops on top will be done after fitting. First thing the needs to be done on the next session is trimming the backs of the thighs. So the list of things to do on the armour has shrunk down to this: - cutting back of thighs - cutting lower edges of shins - gluing sniperplate

  10. A bit more progress. Finished assembling the left forearm. It went a bit more smoothly than the right, but still had to do weird brackets. I'll likely need to add more, or I might use a bit of milliput to fill some of the seams and help hold things together. With all arm pieces together, I tried the arms on with the shoulder gaskets. It was all right, but I think I'll need to take in the shoulder gasket a bit, because my bicep piece circumference is pretty small. And a shoulder bell for good measure: Moving along, I decided to go ahead and assemble the back and yoke. (Forgot to take many photos.) It actually wasn't as bad as people had made it out to be. I'll definitely have to do some heavy seam/gap filling, but overall it was relatively straightforward. I started by gluing the yoke to the connector piece, let that dry overnight, then glued everything to the back. I know the chest/yoke/back is going to be one of the most challenging parts of the build because it is just *so* big. KB claims it's meant for average sized people, but it's really quite barrel chested. The first thing I did is trim off a bunch of excess material from the...wings? I don't know what they're called: Next up, a *lot* of heat bending with my trusty heat gun. My goal was to wrap the wings more tightly around me, and greatly reduce the width of the back and chest. As with my TK, I set the heat gun around 450F-500F and slowly heated up the areas I wanted to bend. When the ABS just starts to lose it's springiness, I'd turn off the heat gun. Incidentally, the KB kit is much thinner than my WTF original TK, so I had to be careful not to overheat. Back before: Back after: No individual photos of the chest, but here's everything on me: This whole build has been kind of a rollercoaster for me - I flip flop between feeling really encouraged and being totally convinced it's impossible to fit this kit to someone my size, especially with how tough my GML is. For now I'll soldier on.

  11. Used some 3D printed parts within a resin build and have to say that stuff is much harder to drill or sand than resin. So, green light from the stability point of view.

  12. I have a master-blaster with blastfx in scope and counter. While it is awesome, if dropped it is over.. I am considering an aluminum pipe for the strength and all the other components bolt to it, or I use them as masters and cast out of rubber. I troop with a pratorian version (rubber), but miss the pew-pew...
