  2. It's really helpful to have one over here, since we are the home of all things Stormtroopers (most often called TKs here)! We have programs called "Expert Infantry" and "Centurion", which are aimed to make your armor look outstanding! The extra levels are not needed by any means, however when building the armor yourself, it is very easy to have the aim set for those levels right from the beginning, since what makes them hard to accomplish is often times having to remove things that are already glued on, only to apply them in the "correct" way (according to the extra levels)! Doing it from the beginning usually only costs a few more minutes of thinking, and will in the end make your armor look even more like the ones we see on screen!
  3. Welcome John! It seems your 8-year-old self has found our club of other 8-year-olds! Awesome to hear you have a Stunt build in the works! Did you go with RS, RWA, or some other armor maker? As Jonatan mentioned, you should definitely also keep a WIP thread here as our entire focus is stormtroopers, and you'll receive great feedback from our ranks. Between that, and your help from Chris and the rest of the UKG, I'm sure you'll build a suit fit for Imperial duty! Looking forward to following along with you!
  4. thank you for the build thread links - very helpful! I've got a build thread started already on the UK Garrison forum, but I'll start one here too and keep them both updated., I think I'll be needing as much help as I can get! 😄
  5. Hello John! Welcome to the FISD! Glad to have you! I'm really jealous of you being able to see STAR WARS in the cinema! Great to hear that you're building your armor! The first thing we'd recommend you to do is to start your own build thread! This is where you post images of your progress and ask questions that you may have, and our team of experts will guide you towards the best looking armor possible! https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/80-anh-build-threads/ Here is a long list of useful information that mister @MaskedVengeance has compiled!
  6. Hello troopers First time ANH Stunt Stormtrooper builder here. I found my way here from the 501st UK Garrison forum (thanks for the invite themaninthesuitcase) Bit about me: I'm old enough that I saw Episode IV in the cinema when it was just called STAR WARS. I've decided to treat my 8 year-old inner self and build my very first stormtrooper costume 🙂 I'm currently awaiting (impatiently!) for my vacu-form kit of ABS parts to arrive. In the meantime, I've been keeping my 3d printer busy printing parts for an E11 blaster that I'm making. Don't think I've been this excited about a build project since... ever! Onwards and upwards...

  8. Hi Rebecca, I'm finalizing my bucket build and starting to look at the electronics. Five years later after your quote above, would still say the iComm is your preference, if its still available? Also, do you have the link handy for that product? Thanks.,
  9. Hello friends! I am excited to see the work being done to move the Captain Enoch CRL forward. I have several questions. 1. Can we find out the belt width measurement? 2. Seeing what has been said about the overskirt, could we venture to draw a pattern? 3. About the holster... Do we have a clearer picture to see the complete shape? And in another order of things: I understand, as I have read, that these gloves could be valid. correct?
  10. This is the current "new gen" neckseal from KeepTrooping. It has the stitched, ribbed material at the base (same as the undersuit, L3 compliant) and a thinner ribbed material for the actual neckseal, unsure exactly what type the top part uses but it's similar to that of a wetsuit.
  11. A long time ago in a ..... I finally have time again to finally finish the armor. But as I try to upload the new images, my image hoster says, that I will shut down the page next month 😳 So first I had to download the galleries and reupload it to another image hoster and change all image links in this thread. 😰 But know, I can present you the progress I made in the last months. 😃 The sniper plate is mounted: Also the Belt: Then I painted the buttons on the Abdomen plate: And almost finished the 3D printed blaster:
  12. Also keep a lookout for the return of Praetorian Blasters on their FB page. New business model, and would be great to have these rubber blasters in the hands of member who chose to go down that path. As soon as we have more feedback from them, we shall look to update the vendor list https://www.facebook.com/BlasterMaker

  17. Lenses were there but under armor so I've moved it to under the helmet area. Neck seal some references here but hard to make out, we know it's ribbed around the neck though
  18. Hoping I got it right this time 😅 Please add a bade to my profile. Thank you!
  19. As I'm building an 850 Armor works kit currently, I'm running in to some issues with other part. So I figured I would share some help and ask some questions. I saw someone was asking about lenses for their helmet. I didn't see them on the resources list, so I figured I would share them here. Mr. Paul sells lenses for the Desert Fox (Nico Henderson) helmet. You can find more info on Mr Paul's Shoretrooper Build page on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/totalgrunt I just commissioned a resin printing of this helmet for myself as my FDM versions were not looking great and I've order a pair of lenses from him. I'm seeking the difference in the neck seal. The CRL shows a picture of the TK_ANH_stunt one. https://databank.501st.com/databank/File:TK_anh_stunt_neckseal.jpeg I Thought the R1TK one was different. I saw a post on here with a version that has ribbing on the part that lays on the chest as well.
  20. You could google C3P0 builds, they use a gold base and cover in 2K clear which does not change the gloss finish. As for flexible most paints won't flex and can crack, plastic chroming may be the answer there depending if it's available close to you

  22. Most appears ok for basic. You want to make sure your drop boxes align with the end of the plastic belt For higher levels EIB and Centurion you would need to address some gaps ab/kidney, you could perhaps tighten the strapping, the ab is also sitting lower than the kidney. Posterior is being pushed away from the kidney, V tabs can help this With a heat gun (or oven) you bend strips of ABS plastic into the shape of a V, only glue one side and the other remains free to allow movement when you bend. Just helps stop the butt plate from pushing back from the back plate. Also Han snap is a little far away from the corner Detonator gaps are different on both sides PHOTO GUIDELINES Photo size- At least 800 X 600 (preferably 1280 X 960) A neutral (solid) background color is suggested, more info in this thread
  23. Can someone update this to Keep Trooping as IB is no longer a thing?
  24. One more today. A short word but a fun one. We got the B above. Next to it is a U which looks a lot like both itself and the aurebesh G. P is a pain (and not present above) because it's a backwards aurebesh U. C has the 3 lines. That's one I just memorized. You see it often enough and it's a very unique letter in the aurebesh.
  25. Okay, that's a huge point in Garmin's favor. I've been on the fence for which smartwatch to get... I'm a big G-shock fan. anyways, today's stuff! This one is both super easy and also has a little substance. E is the star of the show today, along with MY PERSONAL BLASTER. Yeah, it's the CRL blaster and I'm very proud. If you know the company that makes this blaster, you can easily read the logo lettering. It shows the B and H. B is super close to the English version and H just has the side pipes pointed the wrong way. We got the I as a 1 again. And the down-right-arrow S a few times.
