CableGuy[Admin]
Hi all, Thanks to an early birthday present from my wife, my next build is a TM Stunt kit. It arrived beautifully packaged and is a really nice mold. As per the video, I’m very impressed with the detail. I’ll be starting the build soon and am thoroughly looking forward to this one. As I love the look of a fully spray painted helmet (just like the originals), I’m planning to fully spray this one, also. More to come. :-)

CableGuy[Admin]
Next update, folks. :-) Found some time for a little progress. Rough trim on the ears to test the helmet alignment (faceplate/back and cap) prior to trimming the helmet itself. In my opinion, alignment of the two parts is key, so being sure that you’re not trimming too much off of the faceplate or back cap is important. Trim to much and you might not have the material left for overlapping and riveting the two parts together. Using natural light shon through the helmet to check how the parts are aligning and how much of an overlap there is.
CableGuy[Admin]
We have eye sockets... I’m around 90% happy with these. As per the originals, the lines are quite straight and sharp, cut with a blade rather than a Dremel, for example. I used a Stanley knife for these.
CableGuy[Admin]
We have ears. :-)Lots of the usual trim, hold to helmet, mark with pencil, trim, hold to helmet etc...Dremel was my primary tool for the ears. More to come. :-)

CableGuy[Admin]
Hi folks,Slow but steady progress on this build. Thanks to an amazing Christmas surprise from my wife, this helmet is now accompanied by a full set of TM armour to match!! :-)Back to the lid. I’m pursuing a screen used look so have applied two coats of paint to represent the HDPE plastic used for the originals. This will allow for what looks like small “chips” in the final helmet. Here’s some pics.

Question - you mention the Hovi's are white inside, but didn't paint yours. Colours might be a bit different on computer - are the TM Hovi's 'white' enough to pass do you think?
