Hello, I’m one of the ones that are hard to fit. I’m 6’5 300 pounds dad body have found a guy in Florida that does great work talking with him through Facebook. I’m looking forward to be able to get armor and joining the Legion. I love  doing the parade and also the hospitals, seeing kids and everyone else.

I need to rebuild my armor.  I was approved in the second-hand years ago, and it's getting yellowed and very brittle.  I see on the list of vendors 850 Armor Works for First order and Rogue One, but is there ANH armor decent?

Hey all - can we please get Denuo Novo added back on this list for OT armor? It's been long enough and Anovos can be added to the "No longer made" section.

 

Perhaps we can also add that helmets are currently out of stock, but hopefully that's not for forever. 

 

I also don't know if anyone has received armor from RT/PANDA-MOD in a while, I haven't seen any and they never responded to my email a while back.

Looking at the instructions looks like it still comes with a "hero" style belt connection. But does come with shoulder strap reinforcement, which is good my Anovos ones almost snapped off.

 

I can't see any obvious reason not to add DN, being a retail situation it's a very different to most builders. I've order from DN, had an issue and it was handled well.

Correct, a disappointing continuation from the Anovos days. Most of us prefer to replace the belt with a custom fitted reinforced one anyways, so no big deal.

Just on this, I'm 6'4 (not sure about weight, I should probably check) but my waist is 41 inches, I've gone back and forth with RS Propmasters for the last week and they said I should be able to do a TK, though I'm a lot taller than most of them. So I was wondering if anyone had suggetions for different armours that may work better for my body? Perhaps a snowtrooper? they seem to have a lot more fabric. I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions! Here's me with some troopers for reference (I'm the one in the suit, couldn't do a full body image because it said it was too large... ironic)

The original TK armor was sculpted for a person about 5'10" and 150-160lbs or so.   I'm 6'0" / 180lbs / 33" waist (pending lunch) and had to get special shins made for my RS kit to look right.

I haven't checked out TM yet, I'll be sure to do so! After my emails with propmasters it looks like im going to need longer shins as well. Thanks for the reference, now I know I'm on the right path.

I'm 6'2" 275lbs with a 42" waist and a 52" chest.

I made my ATA armor work, but it didn't look the best.

I have since boughten an AM kit from Dave's Darkside Deopt.

AM kits are made for bigger troopers. Dave put a 6'7" 300lbs trooper in one of his kits and I believe it was approved as Centurion (level 3).
I highly suggest the AM kits.

Oh that's impressive, most impressive. Thanks for the advice! I've sent Dave an email now, the other one I was considering was RS Propmasters, they said that they could also make armour for my size too. Just wondering if they'll be equally good or if you think I'm better off with AM?

I'll be honest and I don't know anything about Propmaster armor. My biggest suggestion would be to talk with the troopers in your Garrison/Outpost/Squad and see if you can look at their armor, and we what types of armor they use.

I think I saw you were in Australia, if so, you might talk to @ChrisThePropGuy , he is down under, and he pulls TK armor as well. He might be able to fit you, but I don't know for sure.

AM changed hands and is now Dave's Darkside Depot

 

Type: AM (Armor Master) - Dave’s Darkside Depot

Country: USA

Kit: ABS.  All body armor components including face piece and ear pieces are .090 ABS. The one piece dome/back is formed using .125 ABS, as this piece is formed over a rather deep mold and anything thinner can cause thin regions which can eventually crack or fracture.  White .060 ABS blanks included to cut as cover-strips.  TD clips, rubber gloves and black Nomex flight gloves, flexible hand guards and all Centurion level hardware included.

Availability:   Normally 4-6 weeks or less. 

Assembly: Comes trimmed out of the box, but you will still be required to adjust for proper fit to your body size.  Good choice for large troopers, but can be cut down.   Can be ordered completely pre-assembled for an additional fee.

Comments:   Chest and back molds have been updated to address past concerns, and are now acceptable to Centurion level.  They are now including a custom, die-cut Imperial cog themed helmet liner for the helmets, mounting Velcro included.  Hovi tips are professionally cast aluminum.  Hero helmets are now available.

Just an update,

 

I can still make ROTJ armour. I just don’t get asked for armour much these days. And what with TM recasting me and taking some of my business hasn’t helped. He’s still selling recasts.

Good point. I should also be more explicit in not recommending new purchases for TM for that reason.
