Hi Dani, glad to see your EIB application. great work on your fist build ! Before the D.O. team can start reviewing your application could you please add the following Photos? 1-Foto cercana de la Faja de Munición de la pierna por fuera y por dentro para verificar los rivets correctos del CRL 1-Close photo of the Thigh Ammo pack , both sides out and inner as the crl states OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Thigh ammo belt is attached to thigh with a solid head rivet, painted white, in the upper corner and fastened to the lower thigh ridge. The rivets used shall be single cap, double cap or split rivets. No pop rivets allowed. Rivet should be approximately 5/16" (8mm) in diameter (exterior). 2- Foto cercana de la placa de francotirador por ambos lados según el CRL 2- Close photo of both sides of sniper knee as per the CRl states: OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Sniper knee plate must be aligned with the ridges on the shin. Sniper knee plate must not have visible rivets or fasteners attaching it to the shin. 3- Foto del Detonador Térmico pero el lado donde se ven los tornillos. 3- T.D. photo of the side that shows the screw type. Clips shall be attached with slotted type, flat or dome top style screws, and be black (two per clip). V head screws are not permitted. Thermal detonator belt clips are positioned with little to no gap between the clips and the end caps. 4- Fotos de tus botas . 4- Photos of your boots. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): There is no seam present on the front of the boot. Boots have a black sole 5- Las ultimas dos fotos que muestran los rivets de la parte inferior de la armadura por favor toma otras por el otro lado para verificar que los rivets sean plateados 5- could you please take another two photos of the front side of the lower section rivets of your amor lower tabs ? A split (bifurcated) or single cap rivet is present on the lower tab (cod area) of the abdomen armor. Rivet does not need to be functional. Rivet on must be brass or silver in color, approximately 5/16" (8mm) in diameter and is not painted. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Two male snaps are present on the lower center tab of the Posterior Armor. Snaps do not need to be functional. Snaps are silver in color with the bottom of the snap facing outward and are not painted. 6- Foto de la tira de tela o elastico que conecta la armadura de pecho con la de espalda 6 - Photo of the Chest /Back fabric connection OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Chest and back shall be connected with a white fabric or preferably elastic strap at the shoulders. Finally, it would be great if you could change the photos of your helmet, right and left side for some taken from more distance, about 4 meters and cut it and thus avoid distortion in the shape of it. Additional Photos or requirement would be asked by the assigned officer. Buena suerte Dani Good luck Dani
  3. Great desicion, good luck and looking forward for your BBB day photos. Cheers
  4. Great Jose, One question. Have you decided which armor make are you going for? if not, take a look to the following post about Where to find an Armor. Any other question please remember, we are here to Help.
  5. Hi Jose, Welcome to FISD With ordering a fully commissioned armor you are gaining time, if you have no time or don't want to build it your self, you skip the process of trimming, gluing, measuring etc. Obliviously it has an extra cost. For a fully commission , You just need to send the vendor some Body measures and they make all the work for you. As @justjoseph63 pointed in a previous response to this post : "Hi Carlos, and welcome to the TRUE home of shiny white armor! Your decision to purchase a commission from RS is a wise one... you really can't get any more screen accurate, and their customer service is second to none! What I would suggest at this point is that once you get your Big Brown Box from them, try on the armor (you may need help with this) and post up some photos in our "Pre-approval" thread" located here. We can will help you with any details so that when you apply for Basic 501st approval you should pass on the first try. Note that RS builds their commission kits to Centurion level, so I hope you will consider taking your armor to the next level(s) by applying for the Expert Infantry Badge after initial approval and Centurion Level after that! " Good luck with your project .
  6. Hi Tanner, Welcome to FISD. Feel free to ask questions, post photos of your advances and doubts, We are here to help Cheers
  7. I placed placed only two but it depends on you I think they worked for me. Snap or Using E6000 on one side could work well.
  8. Hi Caleb, I just can talk about what I have done: 1- I prefer using Nylon there, both sides, why, because It happened that when trooping , the elastic connection made the kidney overlaps the ab plate and viceversa , I changed to nylon and the connection stood firm 2- I have placed an individual set of Snaps each side to leave the split rivets free to avoid then from opening or tearing the nylon. I know there are more excellent solutions here in the forum but this worked for me.
  9. Hi Caleb, according to the reference that is usually posted, you're right. As a suggestion, place the Ab section rivets first ,( don't make holes in the kidney yet ) and then , align a remark the kidney's and proceed. Cheers
  10. Welcome back Trooper, looking forward for your BBB day.
  11. Hi Damien, Great boots and great work with the return edge. About the sniper knee, it's just perfect for high levels. I would suggest that for better look you could trim it down a bit to closer match the reference images. Reference Photos Cheers
  12. Welcome to FISD, looking forward for you BBB day.
Saludos
  14. Hi Emma, looking really good. I my experience, in this stage (I call it the blue tape stage) you can have an idea about how things are going, but not the final look, so be careful in measure but don't make any cut till you are in the Straping stage where thing get the real place. keep om doing a great work.
  15. Excelente compañero !! Great mate !!
Welcome Chamu, Glad to read you are going for high levels with your armor. good luck. ask questions, post tons of photos. remember measure twice or more, cut once .
  17. Felicitaciones Trooper, Bienvenido a la Legion !!! Congratulations Trooper, welcome to the Legion !!
  18. Wow Caleb, you looks amazing!! Great work. About what you mention on the Shim , a closer photo with no Holster and belt could be useful , at least for me, to have a better idea of the issue. By the other side, If I can make a suggestion, probably you have noted already. There's small detail on the thighs alignment as you can see in the following photo. You can adjust the straps to align then better and try to find a middle point where you leave the smallest gap and still walk without problems like armor bites. Almost there Trooper , keep on doing a fantastic work.
  19. Hi Luke, Don't worry about making questions, we love questions, photos and help others so keep on making questions and posting photos. For the Shins , you can leave a small return edge at the top and they don't have any return edge in the botton as you can see in the references. Cheers.
  20. Great Paint work Caleb ! I'm not sure if it's a light effect or my eyes ,or maybe both ,but it looks like there's a bit of paint between the white area as shown and ther's still a small paint detail that I would suggest to take off, just a toothpick with mineral spirit, no acetona, and it is. looking good so far,
