  1. Oh Yes, for Basic your Chelsea boots are ok. I don't think velcros issue to be a problem for approval, but it depends on your GML. Let's see the result. Good Luck mate!!
  2. Congratulations !! looking forward for your advances
  3. Hey Tico !! Don't forget this, It'll be a Centurion Requiremenet. You can use a 5mm. white elastic band CRL: The plastic shoulder straps need to be held down in the back via a white elastic band to the white fabric that connects/bridges the chest and back piece. Reference Images
  4. Welcoe to FISD Jhon, You can post photos Here if you want some advice and tips. Good luck with your project.
  5. Hi Brett, definitely you did a great build with your armor. Looks really good and I'm sure you can achieve the highest levels. This is not a race or Mr. TK competition, It's about personal goals, so don't worry about your pace, we are here to help you to look your best when Trooping, now, or in a week , even months. All of us in the FISD love to be here and the the time we invest here is more valuable when see a Trooper complete his first armor build, solve a problem and achieve a L2 or L3 badge. Your EIB badge is around the corner sir. !!!
  6. Hi Andreas, looks good, easy pass Trooper. Great Work !! I just can see some dressing issues, like : Some velcro closures in the biceps and thighs that you may want to take care for the approval photos Not sure if it's just a light effect but It looks like your boots are more similar to OT TK? Rogue One Boots OTK Boots And if I can give a tip to prevent tour shins from twisting when walk, What I did with my Anh Tk is just to place a Velcro Piece in front of the boot and the Shin internal section like the photos. That made the trick Good luck with your approval Sir.
  7. Hi, In addition to what @Blast 'Em! Shane recommend I would suggest what worked for me. use an additional piece of woor or metal to press the hole cover side to side and let it dry for about 48 hours. Hope this can help.
  8. Hola Fernando. Excelente Trabajo, muchas gracias. Before we can start your review there is one item we need you to take care of, please remove a bit of the paint at the top of the teeth as shown below. This is a basic level requirement This is an easy fix, just a few minutes with some mineral spirits or paint remover (non acetone) and a toothpick should do the work. CRL nivel basico : Frown is painted gray and does not leave the teeth area. A total of 8 cut outs in the teeth area of the frown are present. Reference Photos Saludos
  9. Hi Kyle, welcome to FISD and Good luck with your build. looking forward for your advances .
  10. Hi ,Jonathan that little guy looks powerful !! I'm attaching a couple of photos that can clarify the challenge with the Ab/Kidney Rivets, remember that it's recommended to have some reference photos when building the armor to have a better idea of how thing keep together. If I can make a suggestion to fix this, I can suggest what I did in a case like this: 1- remove the rivets, Ab and Kidney 2- fill in the holes with ABS paste, (you can glue a small square of abs behind to give support.) Sand and polish to give finish. 3- Measure, mark down and drill new holes (make it first in the AB side) 4- Place the new split rivets (Ab side first) 5- Align Ab to Kidney plate and mark down the new holes to the kidney armor. 6- place the new split rivets in kidney plate. It could sounds intimidating, but I'm sure you have the skills to achieve this. Hope this can help.
  11. Hi Dani, and thank you for your EIB application! Felicitaciones!! All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armour. The black rank bar paint is very thin on your ear bumps and the gray zone on the left ear bar is a little rounded. This should be a simple fix - just a few minutes paint and brush. The brow trim of your helmet, as you can see in the reference photos should be a little shorter, this is a very easy and fast adjustment, just be careful to do it little by little so as not to cut too much. The rear right trap paint needs to be removed a little to get the correct shape as the left one. Easy fix! just a toothpick and some paint remover, Non Acetone. Your posterior armor appears to be at a point of overlapping your thighs, it may just be a matter of fit when putting on the armor. Your Thigh ammo pack rivet is a little off according to the references, This is not affecting you for level 3 but for a more screen accuracy we notice and let you know it. This looks just like a dressing issue, your claves closure looks misaligned a bit, check this out next time you put on your armor for future trooping and photos. Going ahead, your Sniper Knee needs, for more accuracy look , we recommend a little trimming to the return edge. so easy! Reference Images *************************************************** Centurion Requirements; In this section we prepare you for Centurion. Because Centurion photos show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. In this section, we are going to see what you need to apply for the Centurion level, although it is more rigorous, we are sure that you can achieve it, remember that in FISD we are here to help you achieve it. Let's start: 1-CR: Ear screws shall be slotted, flat topped, countersunk and painted white. The ear screw on the lower right side is slightly out and at an angle, some re-alignment and a couple of turns with the screwdriver solve that point. Reference Images 2-CRL: No return edge on the inside of the front of the forearm is allowed. Although the one on his right looks ideal, the "hump" area on the left wrist appears to need the return edge removed, Reference Images 3-CRL: There should be a minimal gap between the shoulder armor and the chest/back plates. For Centurion level, there should be no space between the shoulder bells and the chest armor, in your case it seems that it is a matter of shortening the elastics of the connection between these Reference Images Reference Images 4-CRL: The plastic shoulder straps need to be held down in the back via a white elastic band to the white fabric that connects/bridges the chest and back piece. Perhaps it is the effect of light or distance but it seems that you do not have the elastic strap that connects the shoulder bridges with the fabric strap that connects the chest armor with the back. You can use a 5mm. white elastic strip. Reference Images 5-CRL: Rivets are equally spaced along the depth of the armor and about 10mm from the edge. The Ab/Kidney rivets must be spaced taking into account approx. 20mm from the upper edge of the abdominal plate as you see in the reference image. This point seems the most difficult , but from my own experience I assure you that it can be done. You would have to remove the upper Rivets on both plates, fill the holes with ABS paste, sand well and make the new ones at the correct distance. As I told you before, we are here to help you. Reference Images 6-CRL: The top of the ABS ammo belt should sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical abdomen button panels Tu cinturón debe subir un poquito para estar perfecto, un truco muy utilizado es poner un par de piezas de velcro detrás y de esta forma evitar que se baje al frente. Your belt needs to go up a little to be perfectly, a widely used trick is to place a couple of small strips of Velcro behind belt to ensure it doesn't sag in the front Reference Images 7-Tu Detonador Térmico está un poco arriba del cinturón y para verte mucho mejor debe ir alineado con este . Your TD is riding quite high a little over the belt, for a better look it should be in line with it. It could be just a dressing issue, just check the metal clips adjustment or try pushing it down farther on to the belt. The Hengstler counter on his E-11 is sitting way too far back and needs to be moved up. In some cases it is enough to take off and re-position the screws that attach it to the scope rail to get it into in the correct position, check if it is feasible in your case. That's all,, Although it seems like a lot of work, we are confident that you can make the changes and reach the next level. Centurion. Again, Congratulations Trooper !!
Foto de la parte de atrás de tu blaster para ver el anillo en "D" Hi Fernando, Great work with your armor, It looks very good !! Could you please add the following photos, they're are needed to proceed with your EIB review: Helmet on both sides and back , the ones you added are like diagonal Close photo of the screws in the low sides of the helmet. both sides. Cose photo of the wrist. Close photo of the rivets in the lower Ab and posterior Armor, front side. Closo photo of the thigh ammo belt, inner and out side . Sniper knee from the left side, you added only the right one. Close phot of the "D" ring of you blaster. Cheers
  13. Great, I did the same with mine.
  14. Hey Caleb, great to read you're applying so soon!! I if I can give a tip, I would like to recommend you to take a quick view in some of the approved EIB applications so you can see the required photos and the most common adjustment requested. This can make you review to go fast. Cheers
  15. Great Caleb !!! Congratulations.
Muchas gracias . We are almost ready with your request, but we have noticed a small detail in your armor: the crl indicates for level 2 that: Any gap between the abdomen and kidney armor is no more than 1/2" (12.5mm) wide In your case, at the top there is no problem, it seems a problem of adjustment in the elastic of the bottom. trim the elastic to eliminate that space and add a couple of photos again. Thank you so much . Reference Images
  17. Pura Vida Caleb!!! You got this Mate, see you in EIB and Centurion soon!!!!
  18. Amazing Trooper, Great to read you're going for high levels. Good luck and you can open a building thread for your son's build and your EIB advances. Cheers.
  19. Hi Luke, For E11 Blaster reference you may want to look this Thread I use a Praetorian Blasters Rubber E11 , and have moded a Hasbro E11 with the Doopy Doos conversion resina Kit and have seen some videos in You Tube about Doopy Doos E11 kit. In my opinion: Rubber Blaster is better for Trooping , it resist falls and shocks, while the resin, although it looks strong, can suffer fractures when falling or hitting. Obviously the cost is a big difference between both. I have read some trooper to have both, but it's your choice. Hope this can help.
  20. Hi Emma, don't feel that bad, usually armor building is full of challenges , bad measures, wrong cut, battle wounds , but I can asure you. your're learning a lot, and all this knowledge will let you help others in their builds and you'll encourage new troopers around you. And there's always ABS pieces to reinforce and ABS paste to fill the gaps. Keep on advancing, there's no way back Trooper!! "Retreat, hell! We just got here."
  21. Estoy en revisión , Ya casi Trooper !!! I review now, almost there Trooper!!
