  1. Hi Gaz, welcome to FISD. Great to know you're starting your project !! Feel free to post photos and ask questions. I highly recommend for your project to read carefully the CRL of the TK you're going to build, and as many reference Photos as you can. Looking forward for your advances. Cheers
  2. Welcome to FISD Liam, looking forward for your BBB day.
  3. 25 spots and counting down . Last approved EIB Caleb (TK84095)
  4. Hi Caleb, and thank you for your EIB application! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armour. Let's start from top. The brow trim of your helmet, as you can see in the reference photos, should be a little shorter. This is a very easy and fast adjustment, just be careful to do it little by little so as not to cut too much. Reference Images As you can see, the gap between your bicep and forearm is quite a bit smaller than the gap between the forearm and wrist. If you're able to drop the forearms a bit, it will help you look your best. Reference Images Moving on we have the Han-snap. It should be ideally in the top corner, currently yours is to far in and it's suggested to be moved. Reference Images Ideally, the screws of the Thermal detonator sit closer to the end of the clips. This is not a big deal and would involve replacing the clips. We consider it's worth mentioning. Reference Images As you can see, this is just a dressing issue to take care of , the left thigh is a little up and looks misaligned, Easy fix. Reference Images *************************************************** Centurion Requirements; In this section we prepare you for Centurion. Because Centurion photos show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. I have followed your armor build thread and I know the great work and dedication you had invested, amazing mate! In my own experience, although one tries to make everything perfect there's always a detail here and there. Looking at your front view submitted photo , we noticed that the the brow trim is riding entirely too high over the trap on the left side. We think you may be able to lower it to align and glue it in place. Reference Images Your Shoulder-Chest connection look quite good, but there is still some gap, especially at the top of the bells. You can tighten the strapping holding the bells on to bring them as close to the chest and back as possible and this will allow then to align better. Reference Images In most of the photos the drop boxes line up perfectly with the ends of the ABS belt, but you may want to add some E-6000 to the straps in the back to prevent them from shifting. Reference Images Finally brother, we noticed a small gap in the rear of your thighs. The left one is close enough, but for the right one , you could add an ABS shim behind the lower ridge to cover that gap (or fill it with ABS paste). Reference Image And here we finish Caleb, again congratulations for being part of the EIB 1000 and for such great set of armor you have built. Don't stop here Trooper, I have full confidence that you can do the fixes and go to Centurion Level!!! Pura Vida! ***************************************************
  5. Great work with the thighs and shins fitting !!
  6. Hi Pat, welcome to FISD. I would recommend to take a look to the following forum section about Armor Types. Cheers
  7. Hi Kody, Welcome to FISD. Looking forward for you building thread , post photos, ask all questions you have, recently someone said to me ""The only dumb questions are the ones you DON'T ask". We are here to help and most of us were one exactly in the same stage you are now. Browsing the forum is overwhelming at the beginning but remember you're not alone here. Welcome again future Imperial Stormtrooper
  8. You can try by moving around with the shins tapered so you can feel how mobility works and tighten or loosing the tape. Post photos when do that.
  9. Hi Anthony, what I could suggest is to trim first the front of each shins only. Using painter's tape joint the shins like you were placing an inner cover strip to see how they look. Once you are sure they match you can place the cover strip (front only). Using your inner clothes you you can adjust the back. Front Back You may also want to take a look to this WTF build Thread hope this can help
  10. I think He means submissions are increasing, but we haven't filled the 1 K yet.
  11. Stay Strong Mate, I'm sorry you have to make such hard decisions . Hope things go better and all return to be good. Cheers
  12. It would be better If you can change this photo in advance. just edit the post, delete the first one and paste the new.
  13. Tico, could you please add the following photos mean while the D.O. Team assigns your application? Helmet Right side Close-up of kidney/ab plate connection left side to see the 3 rivets ,(not need to suit up) Thank you !
  14. Great Caleb !! One of us will be with you shortly.
  15. Congratulations Ken, Welcome to the Legion !!!!
  16. Yes Andreas, Basic is from your Garrison, EIB and Centurion you apply Here in FISD.
  17. 26 spots and counting down . Last approved EIB Fernando (TK29415) from Spain. The D.O. Team needs more action. !!
  18. Hi Fernando, and thank you for your EIB application! Felicitaciones!! All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry. Congratulations! In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armour. The black rank bar paint is very thin on your ear bumps and the gray zone on the left ear bar is a little rounded. This should be a simple fix - just a few minutes paint and brush. The brow trim of your helmet, as you can see in the reference photos should be a little shorter, this is a very easy and fast adjustment, just be careful to do it little by little so as not to cut too much. You did a great job on aligning your sniper knee. In order to go for that extra bit of screen accuracy, we're recommending you trim the return edge back a bit. Your posterior armor appears to be at a point of overlapping your thighs, it may just be a matter of fit when putting on the armor. In this section we prepare you for Centurion. Because Centurion photos show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. Comencemos : Let's start: 1-CR: Ear screws shall be slotted, flat topped, countersunk and painted white. The ear screws on the lower side are slightly out and at an angle, some re-alignment and a couple of turns with the screwdriver solve that point. Reference Images 2-CRL: There should be a minimal gap between the shoulder armor and the chest/back plates. For Centurion level, there should be minimal space between the shoulder bells and the chest armor, and the tops of the shoulder bells should touch (or be very close to) the shoulder bridges. In your case it seems that it is a matter of shortening the elastics of the connection between these. Reference Image 3- CRL Headlines notes : Text descriptions are only one part of the guideline. GML's and costumers must consider both text and pictures (CRL and Reference) when reviewing the costume. As we indicated earlier, the Centurion level involves a more detailed revision according to the CRL and reference images in order to achieve the highest level of screen accuracy. It appears that the left shoulder bell is longer than the right one, and this is more apparent as seen in the side by side comparison. For level 3 these should be the same length. The bicep height also needs some strapping adjustments to be more symmetrical. Easy fix! Reference images 4-CRL: The plastic shoulder straps need to be held down in the back via a white elastic band to the white fabric that connects/bridges the chest and back piece. Perhaps it is the effect of light or distance but it seems that you do not have the elastic strap that connects the shoulder bridges with the fabric strap that connects the chest armor with the back. You can use a 5mm. white elastic strip. Reference Images 5- CRL: Ab button paint shall not extend beyond the bottom of the actual raised button. Es un arreglo fácil con un palillo de dientes y un removedor de pintura (que no sea Acetona) Your ab plate is a bit large, and overhanging the edge of the panel it's sitting on top of. We're suggesting to trim it back a bit. On the other hand, the paint on the buttons on the small plate sticks out a little from the raised edge of the buttons. Easy fix with a toothpick and some paint remover (Non Acetone) Reference Images 6-CRL: The top of the ABS ammo belt should sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical abdomen button panels Tu cinturón debe subir un poquito para estar perfecto, un truco muy utilizado es poner un par de piezas de velcro detrás y de esta forma evitar que se baje al frente. Your belt needs to go up a little to be perfectly, a widely used trick is to place a couple of small strips of Velcro behind belt to ensure it doesn't sag in the front Reference Images 7- Finalmente, un detalle en tu Blaster E11. The Hengstler counter on his E-11 is sitting way too far back and needs to be moved up. In some cases it is enough to take off and re-position the screws that attach it to the scope rail to get it into in the correct position, check if it is feasible in your case. That's all,, Although it seems like a lot of work, we are confident that you can make the changes and reach the next level. Centurion. Once again, Congratulations Trooper !!
  19. Great to know mate!! looking forward for your TK ID.
  20. Congratulations Trooper , Welcome to EIB. just few adjustments and go for Centurion.
  21. Congratulations !! , let's the party begin !! Feel free to ask questions, measure twice or more, cut and glue once . Post photos and receive tips and suggestions for our very skilled Troopers. Good luck with this amazing project..
  22. Hi, I'm not a R1 armor expert, but looking some building threads and references, what I think can work could be: 1- Afix the Chest tho the Ab and kidney section plate using Velcro ? or 2-To lengthen back the shoulder bridges, (I'm not sure if they can move) and this allows the chest and back to down a bit (maybe 1 inch or 2). Note: When in armor, it's not easy to move your head freely, to see down you need to bend on and side movement is limited. Hope this can help or a least give you a tip . Cheers
  23. ok, vamos a trabajar con esas. gracias. ok, we'll work with those .
Looks great, good luck Alvaro, Where are you from?
