  1. I gotta tell you, I have no idea since I was a little late on this one .. I just know I have one on the way
  2. A little off topic .. but I just ordered one of these today from a run on the RPF .. really liked it .. hey .. it's star wars artwork right? In case you guys would wanna join in and can't post there, I can relay the info for you to Kurt.
  3. Scott .. I always use the gallery as it both keep a thumbnail version to be quickly watched while other browse the Gallery .. and at the same time, I link them all in the majority of my threads. I have no idea how much space I'm using in my gallery, but I know that there's a load of pictures of my suit, gun or anything related that's been used and viewed quite a few times. On the other side, using an extern gallery like flickr or imageshack allows you to link them from different sites .. but I prefeer keeping them related to this forum only anyway. My 0.02$
  4. Scott, I need to kick my an impolite person and check how much it would be for a plane ticket that week end .. I'd love to attend and meet you guys ..
  5. These are plastic I think. I could let Saberfreak answer this one as they come from him! They're really good and easy to work with. Actually, the one you see on the pic is warped (my bad) but I already have the replacement and will change it as soon as I reach it on my todo list! My pleasure!
  6. The other missing t-track is on the same side as your counter. It's also where there's one hole missing due to the bayonnet mount. Look at my build thread for pictures of the "missing" t-track. Or check this pic:
  7. Saw ROTJ when I was 7 in theater .. I'm not so sure anymore when I saw ANH and ESB though .. it's kind of a grey zone for me! Fun facts: The only ever Star Wars toys I got when I was young is an electronic R2 that would walk around after being cranked on the side. I remember giving it away, it's now worth a few hundreds/thousand $$$, can't remember exactly. In 1995-99, I bought all re-released POTF2 carded figs, just because then I had the money!!! Not so long ago, I sold almost everything to move the money into Master Replicas props .. I never regretted it. I've always watched Star Wars in french until I was about 17. Wasn't much good in english before that and anyway, the place where I grew up didn't even have english theater back then, still doesn't have any by the way!!! After that, I never dared watching them again in french, oh man, you wouldn't even want to hear 3PO talking!!! Half of you would probably shut the thing off!! In french, characters are names differently: Darth Vader is Dark Vador Han Solo is Ian Solo I could swear C-3PO was named 6PO too but could never confirm this. I'm sure I'm missing others ...
  8. 31 here .. still top shape, playing volleyball everyweek and began climbing a month ago! I still feel like I am 18 though and about 2 months ago, I was told I looked 22! Saw ROTJ when I was 7 in theater .. I'm not so sure anymore when I saw ANH and ESB though .. it's kind of a grey zone for me! As a fun fact, I've always watched Star Wars in french until I was about 17. Wasn't much good in english before that and anyway, the place where I grew up didn't even have english theater back then, still doesn't by the way!!! After that, I never dared watching them again in french, oh man, you wouldn't even want to hear 3PO talking!!! Half of you would probably throw up!! Another fun fact is that in french, characters are names differently: Darth Vader is Dark Vador Han Solo is Ian Solo I could swear C-3PO was named 6PO too but could never confirm this. I'm sure I'm missing others ...
  9. I have an AP too, I went stunt as I like way more the big brow space above the eye. Lately, the Hero look has begun sinking in and I'll soon enough do an Hero build that will be for display only. Check my armor build thread for the pictures of my AP with reduced eye bump .. it makes a huge difference IMO.
  10. Great armor!! I love the helmet, really sharp!!! Maybe I'm being picky, but isn't the counter a little high on the blaster? Shouldn't it go on the side of the black piece instead of sitting on it?
  11. Thanks for the clarification buddy, it all makes sense to me now!!!
  12. Wow, I have no idea what you guys are talking about .. for me, a puncho is the mexican thing you put over your shoulder and under the sombrero. What's all the puncho and stomach bug thing about? Please educate me!
  13. Thanks Steve, for a first paint job on a bucket, I think I did fairly well I'll have something soon for my 2nd paint job!
  14. Well, here's probably the last update of this thread. I've finished the paint job/weathering on this helmet and I'm currently debating whether or not I'm gonna flat seal this helmet. I might not in case I ever want to redo the paint work on this, or at least the weathering, since it's all acrylic, I could just wash it out and restart I think. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I'll never touch it again Here's the pics, enjoy!
  15. SgtSteve, I completely overlooked that question, so since I'm gonna update in a few minutes, I'll do it now The Neyo bucket is a fiberglass kit gel coated on the inside. It's heavier than ABS but not so bad, It would easily be troop'able! Yeah, I ended up fixing the paint run with a good wet sand plus 2 more coats of krylon fusion. I'm not sure about the liner part, first, I don't know what a FX type of liner is, but if it's standard construction helmet liner, yep, I'm pretty sure it would fit! I'd personally try 2 parts epoxy glue, but don't take my word as I never glued anything in it yet. I'm still waiting on my visor on that one!
  16. Hey Paul I've used this glue, and it dries fast and has an amazing bond. This was found at a local store here .. but perhaps there's something similar around ...
  17. Well, it definitely comes from Lucas's 1971 student movie called THX-1138. Perhaps there's some links, who knows!
  18. From what people say, yes it is .. it's very solid fiberglass too! That's what I got http://www.pbase.com/bigturc/biker_scout
  19. Well, let's compare quickly ... -There's a couple makers of helmets, some are accurate, most are not and needs a lot of mods .. just like our buckets here. -The white plastic has specs that are as important, strapping needs to be accurate, at least, the one we see, the pieces we see. -The boots costs more than TK boots, and you can't take generic black boots and paint them, these are specific non-commercial boots that need to be hand made for the most accurate look. -The soft goods, where the TK is a simple undersuit found everywhere, the scout is a bike/flight suit with cummerbund (white thing around waist) + black vest sewed in a certain way + pouches all that with sewed lines at the right places with the right width etc ... - Gloves are not cheap rubber gloves but accurate stripped, and patched gloves that looks more like bike gloves. You can get Pathfinder approved (501st approved) fairly easily, just like we get our 501st status here. But where the Elite status is "fairly" simple here: FX accepted, kenner mod accepted, etc ... the Lancer status is much less forgiving in terms of details ... That's what I see on top of my head .. I'm sure others could add to it .. but perhaps in its own thread?
  20. Well buddy, Head over to the BSN and I'll hook you up with everything you need .. Know that the scout is WAY more complicated then the TK .. god, the stormie is so simple! I also plan to get a new mannequin for the scout, they're gonna look awesome side by side.
