  1. Congratulations, Robert! It's awesome to have you in the ranks. Happy trooping!
  2. Congrats! Looking good, trooper.
  3. Armour bites... the true badge of membership. Congrats! Seriously though, most armour bites can be fixed with some very minor adjustments. Removing return edge and sanding (right up to a 600 grit or more) will help. Minor strapping adjustments or even adding padding to the inside of your armour can all help. Keep on trooping! Three in one week is a great start!
  4. Looking good! So, yeah... what Mario said in the previous post. You are close - you don't need many tweaks for Centurion from what I can see.
  5. Looks good! Basic should be a breeze. Glen mentioned a few tweaks: you could also lower your forearms a bit too - they appear to be riding up over your biceps. This will help with mobility as well. Good luck!
  6. Nice job, Robert! As mentioned above, you will probably want to trim up the forearms. Those bit can either dig into your skin or cause the forearms to rotate a bit while trooping. You may even want to lower the forearms a touch. Approval will be a snap.
  7. Congratulations and welcome to the TK ranks!
  8. Awesome! Welcome to the Legion and the FISD! It's great to hear you are going for upper level approval.
  9. Hi Tanner and welcome to the FISD. It's awesome that you want to aim for Centurion - the extra work is totally worth it. As mentioned above, you will have to apply to EIB first but all the requirements for Centurion are listed in the CRL (link provided above). Also, check out other centurion applications here: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/72-request-centurion-status/ To help us out, try to take some pictures with the armour on you as well. You may want to start a build thread and post images and ask questions there. Based on the pictures above, there are a few things that will need to be addressed, so having a dedicated thread to post progress pictures and receive feedback will be the most helpful. Build threads are here: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/80-anh-build-threads/ Is the armour FX? If so, there are tutorials on how to upgrade it to EIB in the tutorials section - among many other things. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/79-tutorials-tips-and-howtos/ Good luck!
  10. You are one of the cornerstones around here, Joseph. Thanks for everything. And thank you to Brien for taking over. I have no doubt you will nail this too.
  11. Congrats Brendan! I have no doubt you will make the Empire proud!
  12. I have a cluttered little office in my basement full of my Star Wars stuff (none of it is allowed in the rest of the house) which doubled as my "TK work shop". A little desk space and a few square feet of floor space is all I needed. Building is not nearly as difficult as it seems. Plus, chances are that any commission-built kit will require some fine tuning or maintenance anyways - you won't be completely off the hook.
  13. I know Mark will look after you, but if needed I have a spare set I can pop in the mail for you.
  14. My son is Luke. Funny thing is, the wife clued in and didn't want a "star wars name" so the back-up for Luke was going to be "Benjamin". She also eventually clued into the Benjamin name when I suggested "Obiwan" as a middle name. She finally came around on "Luke" but still insists to this day that he is not named after Luke Skywalker. He totally is. "Leia" was right off the table for our daughter.
  15. Congrats on BBB day! AP armour is great stuff. I hardly used speed rivets. I mostly stuck to snaps, split rivets, and a few single cap rivets. Good luck on your build!
  16. Themaninthesuitcase is likely right. I had a chance to work with someone’s AP armour this weekend. They had the AP provided decals. No issue with the decals extending past the raised area. I think you might have been the victim of a misleading photo.
  17. Matthew, I would say they are a touch on the small side - too small for Centurion? - I don't know. this is what I did: From my TK build: for the buttons I traced a 7/16" circle on the button for guidance. 7/16 might be a little small, but 1/2" seemed a little large and these were the only sizes I had. to get the template to sit flat on the button, I had to sacrifice one and cut it up. For the Empire... I used a very small brush to do the outline of the buttons. Coat one of the grey paint done.
  18. Hey Mark, not according to what was said in his EIB review.
  19. Love it! Great work!
  20. Congrats on BBB day and good luck on your build!
