  1. Congrats on approval! Welcome to the FISD!
  2. Still semi-tolerant? Oh, I remember those days.
  3. Welcome to the FISD, Brad! Commission build or not, start a build thread and post some pictures. There are always little things to finalize and we are more than happy to help you with that. Good luck!
  4. Hi Beth, The best armor is the armor that will fit your body shape and not break your bank (well, no more than it has to). Check out this post for a good intro into some of the vetted vendors and the differences in the kits. Happy hunting!
  5. Welcome to the FISD! As mentioned above, be sure to check out the "getting started" section. There is a ton of info there. Also, once you start to narrow in on a vendor or kit, check out the build section for a detailed account of building some of these kits. There are some great step-by-step guides in this section. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/80-anh-build-threads/ Good luck with your build!
  6. Welcome to the FISD, Dan. It can all seem daunting at first, but it is not as difficult as it might look. I think you will find yourself a very satisfying hobby at the end of the day. You will also learn to better manufacture "alternate facts" for the benefit of your wife and your marriage.
  7. If you are not going for any particular character, then I donā€™t think it matters. I built the ā€œstop that shipā€ bucket and that one happens to have 13 stripes per side. The CRL calls for between 9 and 16 per side. Hereā€™s mine. This one isnā€™t an Anon bucket (I have one on order though). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Anon buckets are very nice - it will make a fantastic sandy. Now... get it dirty. Nice job!
  9. Hey Andy. Welcome to the FISD. Thanks for checking in. Stay safe, trooper.
  10. We have a 3D printing section here. Not sure if it is what you are looking for but probably worth a gander if you have not done so yet: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/201-3d-parts-and-technical/
  11. Welcome to the FISD! For info on the Rogue One Tk, check out this area of posts: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/162-rogue-one/ For general tips go through the Getting Started section. There are vendor lists and supply lists, etc. Also, for general tips and info check out this: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/79-tutorials-tips-and-howtos/ I'm a OT TK and can't help too much with the Rogue One version, but there are some troopers here that can certainly help. Good luck with the build!
  12. Congrats, Sebastian! Always great to have more FOTKs in the ranks!
  13. Congrats trooper! Welcome to the ranks.
  14. Looks good to me. A little tip - try turning your flash on. As many of the reference pics use a flash - using yours will highlight the return edges in the same way the reference pics do. I found this especially helpful when finishing my helmet. You might have to back away from the helmet when taking the picture and then digitally zoom in the photo to get the same look. Keep up the good work!
  15. Congrats and diving into the BBB! If you are building an Anovos kit, then this is a great place to start: There are also a bunch of great general tutorials in this section: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/79-tutorials-tips-and-howtos/ Also, be sure to check out the "getting started" section for posts about what tools and materials you may need for your build. Also, start a build thread and post plenty of pictures. If you are thinking of a TD, be sure to check out the MEPD forum as well. They have info specific to sandtroopers. Good luck!
  16. Looking good. You could take a bit more off. Here are some images for inspiration:
  17. It does look better. Try opening the window blinds and taking the pictures facing the opposite direction. My old-man eyes are struggling. Be wary of using that particular reference image - the "stop that ship" helmet has a particularly high brow and I believe the faceplate is slightly recessed compared to others.
  18. I'm starting to think this is common for all modern/Disney-era troopers - there are a few pic of Deathtroopers where I'm pretty sure you can see the same system.
