Also, check out the Centurion and EIB applications (https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/72-request-centurion-status/) and scoll through for FOTK applications. These are great for seeing high quality builds. And of course, if you haven't been to the Badlands forum yet, be sure to check in there (badlands.ca). Welcome to the FISD, Wayne! I would go with the ANH build - I hear those Biker Scouts... *Mandalorian spoilers ahead* ...punch babies.

Unfortunately, yes. ANH is left side - in fact, if you look at many of the scenes where the troopers are standing at attention or in formation, they are holding the blasters left-handed. This has to do with the magazine on the blaster rubbing against the armour when it is held in the right hand or in a right hand holster.

Here is a link that has illustrations that outline the differences - these are a bit dated but give you the idea. There are a bunch of images there but this is the one that sums up the differences between ANH and ESB.

Welcome fellow Canadian! Congrats on starting your trooper journey. As mentioned above, check out the clone troopers detachment. That said, there are tons of general trooper costuming info and how-to's on this forum. Good luck with your build!

Welcome to the FISD. Which type of stormtrooper are you planning to build? Different vendors will be recommended for different kits (or types of stormtroopers). My advice is to stick to the vetted vendors list when you can - there are good reasons why some vendors are vetted and some are not. Also, my opinion is that 850 is "so-so" with their kits. I have one of their DeathTrooper kits - I got it built and approved but I wouldn't go the 850 route again. I don't know much about their First Order TKs.

Welcome to the FISD, Stephan. Check out the links above and take some time to do some reading (there is a lot of cool info here). If I was picking between ESB and RotJ armour, I would go with ESB. It is easier to source the kits as they are pretty much the same as ANH kits. Either way, good luck with your build!

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the FISD! AP is great armour. As with any commission, there is a chance that you will want to do some tweaks to get the fit just right. If that is the case just start a build thread and post pictures of the things you want to address and we'll do our best to help you out. It is easier to do than you might think.

I know nobody asked for it, but... Large piece of AP plastic on the left with MTK on the right. I tried to colour correct the picture. But it is almost meaningless when being displayed on a computer monitor. Anyway. the MTK plastic has a warm, red colour to it while the AP has a slightly cool, green colour. Hard to see in the photo but it is there (my saturation may be a bit low). Most people would never notice under normal lighting conditions, I suspect.

I have not had much experience with MTK other than a few extra parts I ordered - Mike is great to deal with. I have AP armour/bucket and love it. I do remember there being a slight colour difference in the plastics between MTK and AP. I will see if I can dig out some samples tonight and double check - I'll try to take a decent picture and post here for you.
