No worries, Mark. Hehe - nothing like a set of armour to give us body shape targets. I'm heading towards a C-3PO build where you get bolted in!! Certainly a good incentive to watch what I eat!!

Hi Mark. Great. Here’s a couple of Anovos kits at 6ft plus. These both cleared EIB*. 6ft https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/44173-tk-61490-requesting-anh-stunt-eib-status-anovos-807/ 6ft 1” https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/43636-tk41210-requesting-anh-stunt-eib-anovos-786/ Here’s one from another maker. 6ft 2” (TrooperMaster armour) https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/44520-tk-30977-requesting-anh-stunt-eib-statustm-822/ *these guys might have also cleared Centurion, but I haven’t checked. I only looked in the EIB threads. :-)

Hi Mark, Out of interest, how tall are you? Is that as high up as the cod/ab plate will go? Dan

Great work so far with the shims. [emoji1303] Regarding weathering, check out @T-jay’s ANH build. He cleared Centurion with some beautiful weathering. Personally, this is one of my favourite ever builds as it looks like the reference gallery photos! Just like a trooper has walked off of the set. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/43516-tk-61276-requesting-anh-stunt-centurion-status-tm-361/

I’d probably check out the “advanced tactics” section for EIB and Centurion applications. Each thread title shows the maker so you’ll be able to find the Anovos ones with ease. Then, the beginning of each thread shows the applicant’s height and weight etc. You should be able to find people of similar build and then see how the armour looks and how they achieved it. :-)

Super. That’ll help you get a feel for it. [emoji1303] Have you checked out some of the previous Anovos builds for taller troopers? You might find some great tips and tricks based on what others have done. [emoji1303][emoji1]

Hiya. Do you have your undersuit yet? That’ll really help you to see where you can adjust the armour. Especially when it comes to getting the cod to....well....you know...fit around your ... ;-)

Great work, Paul. Glad you posted it here as well as the FB pages. [emoji1303] Lovely use of Brian’s scope and Paul’s electronics. Looks like a brilliant blaster :-) Dan -
Great job - that looks much neater. [emoji1303][emoji1]

Yeah, it’s a wonderful feeling when it all starts falling into place. :-)

That’s coming on nicely. :-)

Whoop!!! BBB DAY!! [emoji1][emoji1][emoji1]

That doesn’t look too bad at all. When you can, try to get some full length photos with your kidney and butt in place. :-)
-
Tapatalk is an easy way to upload to here. [emoji1303] Ideally, more pics will help us to get an idea of how the butt and kidney are sitting relative to the back plate. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hiya, Do you have any more pics? Looks like it’s positioned very high up your back from that one photo, however more angles will really help. Best wishes Dan

Hiya, Armour is coming on nicely. :-) Personally, I’d be tempted to remove any paint from between the teeth (or refine the shape as mentioned previously). It’s looking a little paint-heavy at the moment. Below is where I’d remove the paint. Best wishes Dan

REN2100 Requesting Pre Approval Review (ATA)
CableGuy replied to REN2100's topic in Request TK Pre-Approval
Hi Ryan, Looks like you’ve made a really good start. :-) If I may, it looks like a few areas might have a lot of excess plastic (flashing) left at this stage. For example, the chest sides, top of the ab plate, shoulder bells etc. Here’s some examples of where I would consider checking out some reference pics and removing a little more. The thighs and calf coverstrips should stop at the “ridge”. Here’s examples below. With the calf coverstrips, they should be equal in size, left to right. If they won’t close then you might have to consider adding a shim (as ReaperOfDaisys mentioned). If you do this, you can then use smaller, equal sized coverstrips. Usually around 25mm for the back of the calves; however, as you have used much larger coverstrips for the thighs, you’d probably want to keep the thigh and calf coverstrips around the same size. (Thighs usually around 20mm) You mentioned pulling the thighs up. This would look good, however it looks like you’ve already used quite large coverstrips so I’m assuming there is not much room for movement. Again, you could consider adding shims - as above, this would allow you to reduce the size of the coverstrips. Regarding basic clearance, sorting out the above should get you closer. As I mentioned at the beginning, it looks like you’ve made a good start. A little fine tuning and basic should be fine. Best wishes Dan :-) -

Nice list, Gav. And great to see that your threads are up and running. It gets more and more exciting from here!! I you fancy the building experience, I'd certainly recommend the Doopydoos route. You'll certainly get a more details blaster than rubber options, however it won't take dropping quite as well. However, I'm on 8 troops now and haven't seen a single blaster damaged as yet. If you do go for Doopys, check out Tino's competition set: RS Propmasters use Imperial Boots and I've heard good things about them. Regarding the neck seal, I'd check out ISD (Imperial Supply Depot) on facebook. Their neck seals are made to measure and very high quality. Balaclava - a lot of troopers that I've spoken with, and myself, use Under Armour (UA). One of their balaclavas is around £20, so probably double the cost of most generic ones on eBay, however, they are very well made, breathable and a lovely fit. Happy days, mate. -

Freduster's ANH Stunt TK build (RS Props, aiming for Centurion)
CableGuy replied to Freduster's topic in ANH Build Threads
Hi Freddy, I’ve just spotted something: it looks like your right calf coverstrip is possibly overlapping the wrong way at the back. They should both overlap from the outside of the leg, however the right calf appears to be overlapping from the inside. In other words, the coverstrips should be glued to the outside part of each calf. Hope that makes sense. :-)
