Why is the 'kink' gone on the helmet. Simple... when Dan and Matt made the mold it was accidentally taken out and they did not have time to make another master mold. Therefore, NO ONE has unaltered molds of helmets at all. Due to a mistake, the 'kink' is nothing more than a memory.. And it is NOT there due to the helmet being under stress. It was heated and pushed to get the face to fit into the cap and back... It was a total accident that this was removed. When they went to make a new master mold from the plug, Matts buddy forgot to prime the bondo.. so the silicone stuck to it badly... They almost lost the original master. And due to silicone sticking to that area, they were not able to save that detail. This is the information that I got from Matt(TE). Believe it or not that is your prerogative. I don't think anyone will really know but this is what the guy that did the original mould has said......... I'm sure Gino will dispute this due to the bad feelings between the two. Report this post

hey Nathan, I have spoken to Matt and he said he asembled it to look like an old screen used set of armor. I know the originals were thrown together. i have always kinda like the screen used look as you all saw with my Sterling E11, but I think this could to with a little tidying up. To be fair to Matt he has offered me a replacement ROTJ set of armor if I wasn't pleased but to be honest I have always wanted a TE ANH and can't afford both! I can make this look great with a bit of work. I just need to find the time.

It's covered in over spray and quit poorly done. I think Matt must have had it lying around for ages and found some time to get it done recently and kinda rushed it as you can see. When I get the time I will rework the assembly and paintwork and get it looking sweet. When I first talked to Matt about this armor he said he would do a bang up job on it and it would be the envy of you all? Matt I know you are reading this or will at some point but I only speak the truth my friend......... I'm just glad after all the wait I finally got something to show and wait eagerly for my helmets that are waiting to dry and get shipped.

Too be honest I just threw the armor on the floor and took some photos without paying much attention to left and right! I've also just noticed in my haste that the belt is missing and the drop boxes are missing and the TD is missing!!! Nothing that can't be replaced but a little poor considering the wait I've had.

I am gonna need to clean up certain glue spots. But hey the originals were thrown together so I guess it looks original?

Hi, I'm sure I'm not alone when I ask what happened to plecter labs blaster core? I haven't seen an update for what seems like a at least a year or so. I have been holding off on building my ali blaster so I can incorporate the blaster core but I'm not sure if they are ever going to be available again? Hyperdyne are also out of stock. Does anyone else know if there are any other sound and light makers out there for the E11 blaster?

Matt sent me a tracking number the other day and it seems to be moving so after over a year of waiting it looks like I'm finally going to get my stuff. I will have to wait another few days for my lids to go out but that's due to Matt having to re shoot the paint on one of them as it got knocked about before it got packed. So fingers crossed guys it looks like Matt is going to get back orders out soon. At least that is what he told me. He also told me that all this is old stock that he is shifting and that he is only doing ROTJ and his new lids. I'll leave the new stuff for Matt to advertise. I'll post some pics when my armor arrives............ :dancing-trooper:

Excuse my ignorance but what is the CTN?

I'm not accusing anything? I would be interested to see how this was sculpted. Surely if this is an original sculpt then there is nothing to hide. Since when did we all accept new helmets without knowing a little about its background?

Is there another thread I can thread up about this helmet other than what has been posted here?

Do you have any pictures or documentation of the whole sculpting process from start to finish. Surely if you were to sculpt a brand new face the features would be crisp and sharp? I'm not baiting here but would be generally interested to see how this whole project came together.
