  1. Well done ross! Now I may be wrong, but isn't this the first EIB who cleared in their own armour?
  2. Steve, how far are the elastics apart where they join the armour? If you keep these short (ideally at the split rivets) it should stop most of the slop you're getting. The longer the elastic run the more room it has to move.
  3. There will be a lot of cons/events where they will not want an airsoft weapon to be carried, even if deactivated.
  4. When people in my garrison saw it they actually quite liked the actual suit, nice detail clean looks etc. Though as mentioned they thought it might be a bit thin (I suspect a lot is 1mm, and a few bits are 1.5mm). The parts issue a bit of a pain but there's a couple of useable matches here, though those aren't perfect. Though there's a fair few here who are less impressed by their customer service, delivery times (and how they seem to be oblivious of delays the day before they annouce one) and attitude to critism (see the officer hat).
  5. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/33740-themaninthesuitcase-doopydoo-build/ Thats' my DD build thread, think it lists where most of the bits came from. Just bare in mind my end cap clip is a bout 4-5mm too close to the end.
  6. Looks like you're making decent progress. The doopy doo kits are pretty decent, once they arrive, but there's a few mods that can be made to make them even better for it a huge amount of money more.
  7. I think the newer model doesn't have it now. If a bigger battery is going to fit that's a good solution but I don't have the space.
  8. The power coils on the SDS blaster are wrong too (unless you're doing a rouge one build anyway). The etsy one looks like a cast of either a real sterling or a recast of one at least (i'm guessing its a Doopy recast looking at the mag). Looks reasonably well made.
  9. From a UKG perspecive, so long as the SR-14 is cleared by the blasters armourer and then you update you're WIP to ensure it's okay with the armourers/GML you would be okay. No one should be trooping with an uncleared blaster.
  10. This is a good example: Christopher Pearson, on Flickr There's, I think, Anovos, RS, RWA capped, RWA ABS, and maybe a TM in this line up. Only really the capped one stands out and even then only becuase you are looking.
  11. Anovos armour is a pale cream colour, certainly when viewed in certain lights. Other makes in a straight ABS will be close but still a touch whiter. Acrylic Capped will be a lot more white. This will vary by supplier though. Non of what you shows alarms me at all, the TKKittle belt will always make this stand out. You won't notice any of this in a line with other troopers.
  12. They'll work but it's not the cheapest or smallest way to do it. Might be worth mocking up sizes too to test fit before ordering. I say this as I know head size and bucket space varies a lot, what 1 person can fit another won't. My set up is 2 cage fans, I think 40x20 but I have some 50x15s that would fit just as well. These are wired through a small switch each to a single USB and a 2300mAh lipstick style USB battery. Works great and lasts all day, but importantly is small as I have a massive head!
  13. I would avoid that one. Whilst most things could probably be fixed the cost and effort would make it significantly less work and cheaper to just buy a kit from one of the many well known makers. Even with updates and fixes this wouldn't be up to the standard most current armour could achieve from the box. Have a look in the vetted sellers list in the getting started area (https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/38-getting-started-read-this-first/) as well as the build threads for an idea of what kits are available.
  14. I use dropbox for some images, when I looked into how to do it I recall reading about how it's not ideal to do it too much as it's against their terms.
  15. Yup, the team is aware and they are working on it. It will be ready when it's done.
  16. I don't think this is the last service to want to start charging, though I'd wager the next will be a lot more organised in how they go about it.
  17. A much better solution
  18. Shift and Return will give you a line break vs a new paragraph.
  19. Fortunately we allow editing here so on popular threads it's possible to update the images. That said we're basically lost years of history as I highly doubt most will be updated.
  20. I use it a pretty decent amount, sort of "I've read this I agree/like/approve but don't really have anything to add or say further". Beats the bad old days of +1 posts.
  21. Seems the like button is back, thanks for the quick turn around!
  22. First: Thanks for the hard work you've put in to upgrade the site. I am sure this was far from a trivial amount of work. I've noticed a couple of issues, which I've no doubt you're already aware of but always worth rasing a ticket: Tapatalk isn't logging me in The "thumbs up" function seems to be missing. If anything else pops up I'll add to this.
  23. You will need a clearable weapon according to the CRL you are applying for. Eg an ANH stunt will need an E-11 or DTL-19.
