  1. I'm starting to plan an F-11D build and will be using Alclad-2 for the metal parts. The biggest down side is it means I'll need an airbrush but can give exccelent results. They do a clear coat for it too.
  2. A big if. I don't see them seeing it as good business decision to do parts outside of breaking open the odd kit at the end of a run. I wish they would but their market is more "mass" market and spares don't really fit in there.
  3. 2 more added in the Helmet section.
  4. I think they only let you use the super premium options so have to pay for that. I suspect that some stuff doesn't need it but if it's their policy to only use "good" shipping it explains the price. I just wish they'd follow up on their talk of a EU warehouse to help things a long a bit more on price and shipping costs.
  5. The actual stuff is good bar the occasion manufacturing issue or damage in transit. The service less so. Delays of 3 months, sometimes more are common on pre orders, some where 2 years late. Getting hold of someone when there is an issue can prove to be tough too.
  6. You're good people Tony. Good luck to those in the draw, but I still don't like you as you get to go to Celebration.
  7. In the UK fit would probably be covered under distance selling regulations but 1: I don't know where you live and 2: I doubt those would apply to private imports (like this would be) anyway. Is there anything in the US law that covers online purchases like this? Rough gist of the UK law is you get up to 7 days after reciept to change your mind with a few asterisks applied. If there's nothing similar I fail to see how Anovos is in the wrong? Their terms state that all sales are final and they reserve the right to refuse any exchange. Now whilst I may have their TK I'm not on team Anovos here. Their service is proving to be alarmingly bad and I'm vocal on this in a number of places. But in this case, I don't see what they did wrong.
  8. Good luck trooper. All I can comment on is the same thing as Joseph, the kidney ab alignment is off a bit. Though you have some pretty short straps.
  9. I only used line 24 style snaps for the whole thing (the ones I used are made by Prym). It's not as accurate as using the poppers for the belt but as no one can see it I didn't see it as a big deal and won't affect clearance at all.
  10. Yeah, this will be both of our 1st anniversary troop. Shame it doesn't look like Steve is coming or it would be all 3 of us. I think I applied for Centurion a week or so later.
  11. These look amazing! Any chance you're going to MCM London on the Saturday and can bring one to look at?
  12. I saw him post those on FB but never saw a price, do you know what it was as it's "Sold" now.
  13. It doesn't look like you don't have washers on the rivets for the holster. Keep an eye on those as I feel they might pull through easily. Good luck with the clearance.
  14. Hi Michelle, Depending where you live we might be able to help guide you better. If you fill out your location in your profile and do an introduction post we'll make sure you get some good advice.
  15. The below assumes you meant TK when you typed TQ not a first order. Thin ABS is not always a bad thing, I know of a maker who's offering 1mm kits. You'll be amazed at the flex that thing has. But I digress. I was the first Anovos TK in my garrison. It is also now cleared at Centurion. I've not trooped it a huge amount and it does have a crack or 2 but so does ever other armour I've seen after a few troops. The factory cut lines want you to leave about a 1cm return. My co recommended I reduce this to prevent stress crack, I did mines now around 5mm. The actual kit is very good. The canavs belt sucks, but with some effort can be replaced. The helmet has decals that I wasn't keen on, so I repainted, but will be fine. And there's a few inaccurate screws. Nothing wrong with this kit can't be fixed reasonably cheaply. What I can't speak well about though is the customer service. I ordered in wave 3 of the first release. I have been a member of a FB group dedicated to this kit since. Complaints about delays, trouble getting replacement parts, or general poor customer service are only getting more common. Now I can't say for why this is happening, I hope it's growing pains not something more sinister. Ultimately this kit is nice, so is all their stuff, and your backed up by a proper company with a license to produce. But the CS issues need to shake them selves out first before I could use them again.
  16. Is the game considered canon? I know games can result in a CRL but not always.
  17. I know those are priced in Canadian pasos not freedom bucks but for what those cost I'd rather spend the difference to get either TK boots, imperial boots or some dyed black boots. All these will be more accurate and you're already about half way there anyway.
  18. Work for a con would mean your either in costume trooping or spotting for the costumers for the duration of the even less a lunch break (30-60mins ish). When trooping you will be in groups roughly 3-10 people in size depending on who's there and the event. You'll then patrol, be in photos, entertain and so on. Buckets stay on at all times when in public areas. The UKG has a strong reputation and all members are expected to behave according to this. We do have a stand that's at cons but generally that's staffed by the PR team or command.
  19. Only if you're trooping and then you're expected to work, so you don't really see much of any con.
  20. Well done Martyn! Pretty simple fixes needed, so see you at Centurion.
  21. Not an EIB thing but you might want to reduce down the shoulder returns on the back plate. You can already see the stress cracks forming. IF you reduce the return down there's far less stress on the outside edge so it will be less prone to crack.
  22. It's not a UKG troop I don't think, certainly wasn't last year, but a lot of members go as paying customers.
  23. The CRL seems to be pointing to the Bounty Hunters Guild http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:BH_Boba_Fett-PP-Prototype Though someone I know cleared it last month as a Super trooper, but it looks like that CRL has been taken down. Though we do have a section here for non FISD costumes if you want to do a thread here anyway.
