  1. So long as it's not visible from the outside you are free to add stuff like that on the inside. One of the cooler things I've seen are storage bags in the back plate.
  2. Which link are you using? If you just paste the BBCode option in then it should just work.
  3. Also now I've actually looked: remember the accurate TK isn't symmetrical so almost no measurements will be equal from seemingly similar positions. I found the best way to do the belt snaps was to punch the belt first then offer the belt to the abs where it needed to be beige marking. I then punched slightly inside these to allow for the belt to bend and not pull on the snaps.
  4. The thing to remember is a lot of these were made for a specific build for a specific person. As such many of the exact dimensions won't translate well to your build. Apply common sense and good judgement and you'll be fine. These should be treated more like guidelines than rules.
  5. I think the gloves I wear every troop are just heavy duty washing up gloves. If not my back up pair certainly is.
  6. Could be you don't have 501st clearance on the forum. I can't see you asking for the permissions in your post history. Post here with the appropriate info: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/16-501st-trooper-status-requests-include-link-to-your-501st-profile-in-your-request/
  7. Imperial Warfighters in the UK have started offering a foam based E-11, I would wager that will be a lot lighter than any resin or rubber option. https://www.facebook.com/Imperial-Warfighters-280604068972001/
  8. Benham have a retail in Feltham south London and I think Birmingham. There's also PS-Composites in St Albans (call first to check they have what you want). These guys are one of the suppliers for Leavsden Studios and have been used in Star Wars films and also potters and all sorts. They sell some more oddity stuff like Gun foam etc Mbfg which are in Ireland but popular and competitive on pricing and shipping. I suspect the R1 shore helmets use one of the resins they sell but need to order some to test for that brown hue.
  9. Thats the badger! Impressive amount of pull in there, all the way from well over an inch to nothing!
  10. Well done ross! Now I may be wrong, but isn't this the first EIB who cleared in their own armour?
  11. Steve, how far are the elastics apart where they join the armour? If you keep these short (ideally at the split rivets) it should stop most of the slop you're getting. The longer the elastic run the more room it has to move.
  12. There will be a lot of cons/events where they will not want an airsoft weapon to be carried, even if deactivated.
  13. When people in my garrison saw it they actually quite liked the actual suit, nice detail clean looks etc. Though as mentioned they thought it might be a bit thin (I suspect a lot is 1mm, and a few bits are 1.5mm). The parts issue a bit of a pain but there's a couple of useable matches here, though those aren't perfect. Though there's a fair few here who are less impressed by their customer service, delivery times (and how they seem to be oblivious of delays the day before they annouce one) and attitude to critism (see the officer hat).
  14. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/33740-themaninthesuitcase-doopydoo-build/ Thats' my DD build thread, think it lists where most of the bits came from. Just bare in mind my end cap clip is a bout 4-5mm too close to the end.
  15. Looks like you're making decent progress. The doopy doo kits are pretty decent, once they arrive, but there's a few mods that can be made to make them even better for it a huge amount of money more.
  16. I think the newer model doesn't have it now. If a bigger battery is going to fit that's a good solution but I don't have the space.
  17. The power coils on the SDS blaster are wrong too (unless you're doing a rouge one build anyway). The etsy one looks like a cast of either a real sterling or a recast of one at least (i'm guessing its a Doopy recast looking at the mag). Looks reasonably well made.
  18. From a UKG perspecive, so long as the SR-14 is cleared by the blasters armourer and then you update you're WIP to ensure it's okay with the armourers/GML you would be okay. No one should be trooping with an uncleared blaster.
  19. This is a good example: Christopher Pearson, on Flickr There's, I think, Anovos, RS, RWA capped, RWA ABS, and maybe a TM in this line up. Only really the capped one stands out and even then only becuase you are looking.
  20. Anovos armour is a pale cream colour, certainly when viewed in certain lights. Other makes in a straight ABS will be close but still a touch whiter. Acrylic Capped will be a lot more white. This will vary by supplier though. Non of what you shows alarms me at all, the TKKittle belt will always make this stand out. You won't notice any of this in a line with other troopers.
