  1. I think mason will send it though! let's see!
  2. a little at a time from the outside and it will come apart easy
  3. AP is easy. cmon... let's see the rest!
  4. this is a good description of a lens that is slightly flat near your nose. allows for less distortion right in front of the eye. I have a set in my hero lid and it works pretty well. almost like a rear view mirror on a car.
  5. ATA has a slightly different shape to the sides of the kidney plate. the top edge has a return and the bottom edge doesn't have one. the top of the ATA kidney has points on it, just like his. I have the ATA kit as well, and it looks the same on mine. maybe terrell can chime in on this? also we need to see lens color on helmet, D ring on blaster should be an easy pass!
  6. you have to include the end cap lug! ------ also can we please suggest that a trigger group interior be created? for the addition of a micro switch?
  7. on one set of renders there is no eyeline angle and on another game system the model is slightly changed.
  8. looks like a stormtrooper to me! meesa lovin thos ear spaces gaps gmmmmm
  9. it looks much better than a hasbro. the end cap and cocking channel are from the BBC plans as far as I can see? is that correct?
  10. why don't we have photos?
  11. I'm so glad that this project has started. I've been answering the same questions over and over in posts. I even made plans for the 1.5" with corrected measurements for the placement of doopy do's parts. since my plan was created for PVC pipe, it's going to be great to see a set of plans that could be used to mount real sterling parts to. the only person I've seen with a diagram was ERV at plecterlabs and he had to modify the diameter and the breech. it will be a great asset to print out a template and send it to the machinist to cut. but this thread is taking the E-11 to the level that it finally should.
  12. wrap some copper ground wire from coax electrical cable around a piece of 1" pvc. you have to look at photos of a real sterling to get the proper spacing and angle, and number of loops. I use 3/4" x 1/8 aluminum flat bar from lowes. for sightrails.
  13. add MTK to the list or sci man armor.
  14. some screen used blasters were mis aligned as well during the demil process.
  15. the sci fire DLT?
  16. I'd personally go with a smaller armor. how large is your waist/chest? you can fit into TM AP ATA or other screen accurate armor if your chest is about 36-40" and waist can be 34-38" with sidegap shims for reducing the torso. also the MTK armor has larger waist sections in the AB and kidney for larger waisted troopers.
  17. strange armor that!
  18. I actually laughed out loud! perhaps a better name would be bond. ??
  19. why would you mix plastic primer with enamel? wetsand polishing usually produces the best results. you should clear coat the armor and wetsand the clear coat for spectacular "shinejob" deathstar troopers. "maybe it's another drill"
  20. I would think it would be shim to shim.
  21. I would measure the arms with them bent and the muscle flexed. it is possible to make it so tight that you can't properly move. the legs on suits like AP pretty much are the same size, and are usually just made tighter or larger by putting extra plastic I've done a basic workup on AP armor measurements: here are detailed measurements of my armor parts: red is body measurement blue is armor measurement my biceps measure: right arm 14" flexed body - armor part 17" fits tight but comfortably. left arm 14" flexed armor part 17" forearms measure 13" both arms flexed - armor part 14 1/4" 10 1/2" length of forearm - armor part 10 1/4" both shins 16 1/4 flexed body - armor part 18" rt shin 14 1/4" long lft shin 17" long with knee plate left thigh 24 1/2" body flexed - 24 3/4" armor part 1 1/2" overlap at rear 15" long right thigh 19 1/2" body flexed - 24 3/4" armor part 1 1/2" overlap at rear 17 1/2" long my body sizes 44 inches at chest 44 inches at upper waist 39 inches at waist 17 inches at neck my armor belt is 52" inches long canvas. 5'11" tall
  22. these are not correct! we've already discussed these plans. they were created for an AIRSOFT replica. I purchased these plans long ago... and if you look there are errors. especially the folding stock, and the end cap.
  23. I wear inner silk gloves, then I wrap the end of the wire with waterproof tape. I put the inner glove on, then tape the wire to my fingertip then put on armor glove.
  24. we love this place!
