  1. because it is bluetooth for a cel phone? or maybe that it won't power an amp? we don't use cell phones to broadcast in our costumes
  2. actually the doopy do's handle is more than that. I have both the original handle, the doopy do's kit, and even a resin cast of the above handle. for most makers who are just making a blaster any of the above will work, but having a real grip can be a great asset to a replica. you're just going to have to do a lot of modeling work to make this work on the average replica.
  3. very nice job of investigation here!
  4. look for sskunky on the boards here... he's Cast From Original... or CFO armorer around these parts.
  5. dritz is my snap of choice! heavy duty, but fits.
  6. very nice interpretation.
  7. perhaps a misread between rt mod and rotj might have taken place.
  8. I'd take a close look at how the best RT-mod builds for the ROTJ style. in the rotj style you will want to probably glue the fronts in an overlap method of assembly, as per the ROTJ crl.
  9. the wireless has a large receiver and you might want to consider the wired mic and Icomm only otherwise it's a good list! if you need an rotj holster let me know?
  10. added to the first post.
  11. I take the snap plate and make it a rectangle then I put white duct tape over the back of the snap then using the remaining little squares at each end of the rectangle I glue those portions to the armor. it creates a barrier keeping the glue from reacting to the metal in the snap. but you still have to be careful not to get glue on the metal parts. you should not use superglue on armor. it becomes brittle under flexible conditions and can ruin your armor if you spill it or it runns out onto the shine use E-6000 and clamps... you can also use white duct tape to hold parts together from the inside. then if you applied the tape smoothly enough, you could even leave it on the inside.
  12. it's those sexy TM thighs again! curves a plenty! awesome suit.
  13. you should also consider the joined back/butt plate, and the ROTJ edge trim and shoulder straps. it's basically a rotj base with an ANH style helmet. good luck!
  14. I'd say that flat black is true blaster coloring. if you really wanted to hit the mark a little closer you'd weather the front of the hengstler counter with some brass, and the scope with brass, except for the rear ring. pretty nice so far!
  15. IPM is part of admin I think luis.
  16. thanks again mike for an excellent tutorial!
  17. I like the Icomm and aker combination. it's not one of the listed types in this thread. but the new product is very very nice. check the sale section for a great setup!
  18. I was joking! haha... it's a work of art!
  19. I layer my paints over the top of the black as well, then I paint again black over the scope after the brass cures. makes for a transparent weathered look just like the real scopes/hengstlers. you did a really fine job of weathering there rolf... perhaps it comes from all that sandy work?
  20. I have a real hengstler counter I could sell for this rolf? PM if you're interested.
  21. I have some real hengstler front clips you could add to this! sale thread HERE
  22. you can fit into any screen accurate size at those dimensions.
  23. those boots are so so wrong!
  24. congrats to everyone! and.... I get another free post!
