  1. Such an amazing and detailed build thread for this helmet modification Colin, well done sir on some excellent work. Also thank you for sharing your files with the community. I'm sure there will be more members using both your thread and files as part of their build.
  2. Coming along nicely Adam.
  3. Great to see you have this started Steve, very exciting times ahead.
  4. I trimmed mobility cuts after the thighs were fully assembled, including cover strips attached. I would wager, most do it that way.
  5. As this doesn't show any consistency I would agree that yes both ways should be allowable. It's clear that the dressing department didn't take any notice or had a specific direction on this point.
  6. Big Brown Box day will soon be upon you, congratulations on wedding and your purchase.
  7. 3 years aligns with Covid so I'm not surprised, but now with new kits finally going out, it may well pick itself up too.
  8. Congratulations Justin on your 3D contributors award.
  9. Greeting all Please all join me in congratulation TK61490 TheRascalKing (Justin) on achieving two awards in this last week. Firstly he has completed the requirements for our first level Armorers award And secondly a 3D contributors award for his efforts in assisting with the development and refinement of some 3D printable First Order TK greeblies. He was also instrumental in getting these files offered up to our members free of charge, so please visit our 3D section and check them out.

  11. You are powering through this build Daryl, keep up the great work.
  12. I added the almost identical image to the gallery in 2020
  13. I haven't read this thread thoroughly but have you tried Ebay for various under suits. I purchased an all black 2 piece for my OTTK and do remember seeing options with phone pockets. They were also very well priced.
  14. That's unfortunate Patrick, hope it goes to a good home.
  15. The chroming process would have been a big issue with cracking and peeling in that area so it makes sense for this. Here is a close up of an asset showing the J hook system on TFA seeing as you have already derailed the thread lol.
  16. Wonderful news Bart, soon you will be one of us, and darn proud of it too.
  17. Just to go back to the strapping, and I think it was the J hook cut outs, I am not inclined to start adding internal and usually hidden features and have them mandated in to our CRL's. Strapping is a personal choice, so if someone wants to go to the effort of replicating those J's or any other type of hidden aspect, then that remains a decision entirely up to the individual. What we do focus on is the external and trying to walk close to that line, some finer details that bring the outside visible parts closer to screen accuracy is what level 2 and 3 are definitely for. Take for example the concealed zippers on TLJ forearms. If a member wishes to replicate for their own self satisfaction, then that is wonderful, they most probably were not meant to be recognised on screen just as those J hooks are concealed under the shoulder bells and not forming an intricate highly visible part of the costume. Outstanding work on this so far guys, we have some very strong cases for changes and I think an excellent CRL in the making.
  18. Congratulations Mike and welcome aboard as an approved TK.
  19. I would say Drop boxes are a must, standard TK accessory for the OT era. As to the disappearing TD's you could wager they are general carry for the TK, if missing could be either oversight or costume used for stunt where it is a risk to the stuntmen if they need to take a fall or are launched across a room etc. The alternate story is they had to use it at some stage or just lost as they are the leftovers still seeking employment and don't know how to do anything else
  20. Certainly not the wrong crowd if you wish to become a Stormtrooper. We are all the same age once in armour, and at my guess that would be around 7-8 years old Many many legion members are over 50, and in fact the oldest still trooping member I believe has pushed over 80 years old mark.
  21. I think what we need to also consider is, what would the standardised look be. As all our other CRL's we sort out what are the anomalies and disregard them. Missing torches on a blaster or broken tabs, no TD etc could be viewed as those anomalies. Good to remember we are not about prop replication else we will have those wanting to modify or leave of a part here and there across all our costumes, so lets continue to follow the same standardised rule we always have. It's certainly fun to see all the images with clear oversights and malfunctions tho.
