ANOVOS (DENUO NOVO) FOTK Armor Delivery Possibility
Sly11 replied to JonnieBear's topic in TFA Stormtrooper
Just to darn expensive, specially for internationals with poor exchange rates and high freight even with the discount. -
Thank you for getting this up Jason. This will be the official discussion thread for the possibility of CRL changes, additions to existing or additional Tab and or title addition and potential change if deemed appropriate, for the Rogue One TK CRL. Boy that was a mouthful, but I think you get the idea lol. Lets bring everything we have into this discussion and see where we land on bringing this dirty TK to life in some way shape or form. I have notified the LMO team we have discussions starting and welcomed them to take a look at the findings as we progress through. Same process as usual, we gather as much detail as we can and work the best solution from there. The goal is always to have a member fully prepared to build the costume, which it seems we have a few very interested. We need a model even for additional tabs to an existing CRL as the style of weathering will need to be shown and explained and all differences clearly highlighted. If we dont have all the parts required for a CRL or addition to existing, then it goes nowhere.

Hi Elija Ok so lets start with the standout point first, the frown as it is called. The grey paint shouldn't go past the end of the teeth onto the gums as it has in your photo. Below are multiple screen used helmet examples to help you rectify this area. You can scratch away excess paint using toothpicks dipped in Mineral turpentine, as it is mild enough to use on ABS without melting it. Next the brow trim is slightly crooked, this can be fixed by re aligning the face plate. you may need to relocate some of the screws that hold the back n cap and face plate together to achieve this, unless the rubber U trim is simply not on properly. Here are some various Brow trim images to choose from to set your trim height and level. The Vocoder (black chin section) does indeed need a good clean up, you could use the toothpick and Turps method here first then go over it with a new coat of paint to tidy it and get it looking closer to a screen helmet. Head to our gallery section link below for these and many many more images to use as reference while re building your helmet. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/category/39-specific-parts/

Congratulations Scott and welcome aboard.

Still bares the 501st name, which is something other's and there personal merch can not. End of the day it does look like no one cares but no harm in asking or posing the question right.

It always takes a trail blazer to initiate change, It appears this trail has been blazed before lol, do your best as it will be compared to what is currently available, which will start with your GML and the LMO's. for basic approval. We only control the higher levels although we do write the CRL's. No doubt that conversation will also include the FISD experts and DL when the time comes, so it won't be one person making a decision, it will be a team and a consensus. Best of luck with your build Geoffrey, we are here to assist where we can.

I know you pain with the AP sniper plate, it aint easy and does take a reasonable amount of tweaking but you will get there. For the record, they do sit a touch crooked.

Thanks gentleman, great nominations and feedback. These will now come under staff review. Thanks again.

Like Glen said, lots to sand, take care of your fingers my friend -
This has certainly come a long way from the day we first discussed it Chris. Well done mate, I look forward to seeing this kit now fully constructed

Albin continues to make Legion merch without LFL C present and without consultation I would wager. Is the loop hole 501st Squad? I think one day it will catch up with him. The other question is, does he even provide full transparent details to Legion for auditing etc. Being the founder should not exclude him from what is put apon any other Legion member that makes/sells merch that bares 501st markings.

Keep at it guys, this hard work takes time but will pay dividends when you hit your targets.

ANOVOS (DENUO NOVO) FOTK Armor Delivery Possibility

Wow! Piece of trivia for you. The TFA screen used Thermal detonators were cast of resin and weighed in at 1.4 Kg, so looks like DN have gone down the same path. -

Good to see they have included the correct Cod piece for the TLJ version as we just updated that requirment in the TLJ CRL Fore arms are hard to tell but look to be TFA version so wrong cut for TLJ. I think that can be remedied with a little careful trimming and if needed addition of some material to change the shape at the elbow end if at all. What is the TD made of? is it plastic or a resin? Bonding the front yoke to the back plate will require some reinforcement to make it one piece and suit the CRL but that shouldn't be difficult in the grand scheme of bog work, gluing and painting. Thank you for posting these up Scott, i am elated that you have revived you kit after such a long wait and hope everyone else also receives what they are owed. -

Nice progress, and a beautiful Figurine collection behind you!! -
There have been a few issues over the last couple of days with various upgrades going on in the back end. I have also discovered there are a couple of email services that are not accepted by the system for some reason. I am uncertain if the issues your friends are having are related but I shall have a look into it. officmail.in.net is one specifically which looks like anyone trying to use that service has failed.
