Hello everyone A mass update is underway that covers all our CRL's. We are introducing some text that covers 3D printed Blasters, weapons and accessories. This has been added to the template at the opening section of all our CRL's as of today, but I will also be adding it specifically to the EIB section of each CRL. The detachment staff all agree this is a common sense addition for anyone considering not only using a 3D printed weapon or approvable accessory based on the costume, but also that at our higher levels the expectation is that is should resemble one of the several high quality resin or metal versions available. This does not affect basic level as blasters and weapons are not required. The following text is now viewable at the top section of all our CRL For higher levels of approval EIB and Centurion: For costumes with only blasters. 3D printed blasters can not contain visible print lines and must be sanded smooth for a more realistic appearance. For costumes with both blasters and accessories. 3D printed blasters and any approvable accessories can not contain visible print lines and must be sanded smooth for a more realistic appearance. The ANH Stunt already has similar wording in the Level 2 section which will be duplicated across all in the coming week. UPDATE: CRL's have now been updated . I believe most will agree that maintaining our standard is important and that acknowledging 3D printed items are a viable source of additions to your costume that the standard of finish should be as good as, if not better than other available products. There is also a new post in the Expert infantry section with some example of correctly finished 3D printed blaster and images of incomplete prints and the work needed to bring them in line. ANOVOS (DENUO NOVO) FOTK Armor Delivery Possibility
Sly11 replied to JonnieBear's topic in TFA Stormtrooper
Wow Glen, that is unfortunate. I guess we should keep our expectations low at this point. It's one thing to supply, another to the expectation that you should receive a quality product at minimum. -

Wanted a Storm Trooper Costume
Sly11 replied to US Army Trooper's topic in Getting Started - Read this First!
Hi Johnny Generally you would need to reach out directly to one of the armour vendors, unless of course someone has a set of armour they are looking to sell. Vendors list is in the below link -
There are much better options for you David, but first, welcome to FISD. Living in the UK you have a few makers to choose from, some of which you can find in the below thread but a few names are as follows. RS Prop Master RWA Troopermaster. SDS are average compared to the above 3.

I think there is no doubt both Celebration and Disney after dark were going to be super spreader events. It is what we live with these days.

ANOVOS (DENUO NOVO) FOTK Armor Delivery Possibility
Sly11 replied to JonnieBear's topic in TFA Stormtrooper
I really hope they come through Justin, it certainly does sound very positive. Anovos were just like this when they kicked off, so I totally understand if anyone has trepidation at this early stage. I long for the day our members flood the forums with "I got it, I finally got it" Then build threads for FO TK's start populating the First Order battle group threads with BBB (Big brown Box) images. -
This is a conversation in almost all the chat groups I'm in. I haven't heard from James for a few days, hope he is ok.

Looks like we are going to have a clean and a weathered version CRL to build/update

Awesome!

Hi Paul, welcome to FISD We currently don't have a CRL for the battlefront 2 Stormtrooper unfortunately. It is something we would need to review in full and create based off game references and looking at the Magma trooper. You can certainly get the discussion rolling on it here.

Hi Daniel and welcome to FISD. As has been mentioned we have our attache program for local help, but rather than just having one mentor, here you will have many very experienced and motivated members and detachment staff all willing to answer your questions, offer guides and how to's give plenty of tips and overwhelming support of you and your build. We pride ourselves on Troopers helping troopers which is our unofficial motto. I am excited to see your build thread and progress photos as you make this awesome journey.
