Hey Stephen, Thank you for updating your pictures and for your EIB application. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted. Ukswrath and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to Expert Infantry. Great job! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we'll discuss observations made by Ukswrath and myself that are suggestions to improve the overall final look of your armor. These suggestions will not affect your application. We have a few areas that we think could use a little TLC. We noticed in several of your photos, that your drop boxes tend to move around, so we highly recommend you secure them in the correct position aligned with the ends of the plastic portion of the ammo belt. You can use Velcro or even glue the elastic straps to the canvas belt. Reference image It appears that your armour may require some foam padding on the inside of the Kidney and Ab plates, as the two halves are overlapping concealing the rivets of the Ab plate. These are clearly visible with correctly fitted armour, so some experimenting is needed to get it to sit just right. Centurion Suggestions: In this section Uks, myself or your fellow troopers may suggest required or recommended repairs prior applying for the Centurion level however, the accuracy it is ultimately up to the trooper. Please have a good practice playing around with image uploading programs like Photobucket and Imgur If planning on a Centurion application, (and we most certainly hope you are, and should), there are many more details that require clear and larger images than those supplied in this application. Thumbnail or small sized images make it a little difficult for us to make appropriate suggestions to fixes as not all details are clear. There are quite a few extra photos needed in a Centurion application and it would be highly recommended to use a new set of images in the larger format. Definitely make sure you Ab plate rivets are visible and the Ab and kidney plates are aligned for your side on photos as mentioned in the above section. Hi Blake. Virtually all the apps we have done that required shims, we're all bonded to the kidney plate, and the elastic attached to the ab. Hello Blake, thank you for your application to EIB, so lets see what we have!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been posted. Thank you for your perseverance on this.That said Ukswrath and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to the level of Expert Infantry. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Well this has come together quite nicely Blake, so we only have a few things to cover off to get you looking your best and prepare you for Centurion There are some strapping and alignment adjustments and a couple of minor modifications for this section, nothing too drastic. Your side shims and Rivet placing we will discuss in the Centurion section below. Shoulder Bell top straps: These need some shortening to bring the top of the bells right in. They should be almost, if not touching the side of the shoulder bridges, in turn this will close up some of the gap between the chest and bells as well. Shoulder reference. Thigh Cover strips: The cover strips are meant to finish at the edge of the ridge and not go over the top of it. You should be able to carefully trim these shorter without removing them but if you have used E6000, then removing them first is the safer option. Cover strip reference. Internal Strapping: I'm not a fan of the Anovos supplied Velcro strapping system and we think this is why you may get such a large Back to kidney plate separation happening. I would shorten up the straps between these two parts as it also appears that it allows other parts to come out of alignment as well. In some of your photos the Ab plate looks too low or the kidney plate has slipped upwards causing your side shims to become misaligned Other than that, its a great EIB application. Centurion Suggestions: In this area we make suggestions to prepare you for your Centurion badge. We get a bit more picky here. Below are some suggestions and some must fix items to get you across the line. If you are gunning for the finer details, we will first look at a few little upgrades than make a big difference to your overall look. Thermal Det screws should be painted black, but also slotted pan head screws used rathr than Philips head counter sunk type. Thermal Det reference image for screw type and painted black. Ear screws although slotted, should be the v head or counter sunk variety. Reference image. Frown: the ends should taper to a point on either side rather than stop short and square off. Below is a series of frowns from various screen used helmets . Also a larger mesh format for the Hovis is the perfect finishing touch. Frown reference Hovi mesh reference Centurion required fixes: Ok know we are down to the must fix modification that needs some serious work to get you into a good place for a Centurion application. Rivet placement, should all be in the Ab area, unfortunately you have placed the lowest down on the cod section. This will also effect the position of the center rivet, as it too would need to be moved upward to keep even spacing between the three on the Ab and kidney plate or shim. Generally its the kidney plate that the shim is attached to and the rivets placed at the end that adjoins the ab plate. The shim should be the same height as the kidney plate allowing the correct corresponding rivet positions. Reference image of screen used suit. As per the CRL A single visible seam line is present.. As it stands, you have two visible seam lines. So lets look at how to fix it. I would start again with this shim and cut a new one to the height of the kidney plate from the top of the cut out. Attach it to the kidney plate and make upsome ABS paste to fill that seam line. ABS paste is made by mixing small off cuts of ABS with a small amount of acetone in a glass jar. The accetone will melt the ABS. you want a consistency similar to toothpaste. I am sure if you ask around one of our friendly members will go through the process thoroughly with you. Smear it onto the seam. let it set, then sand and polish it. Remove the rivets from the kidney plate and the center and bottom rivets from the Ab/cod, and fill those holes with ABS paste. re position the rivets as per the screen image above, and we are back in business. Lastly, the thin Anovos belt will need to be replaced with a stiffer thicker one, maybe from one of our members that make a much better and accurate version. We understand the above might sound daunting, but with a little care and attention, you can do this, we have faith in you, after all you built the costume, you have the skill set to nail it. Once again, congratulations and we ope to see you in Centurion in the near future.

CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos are present but before we can award you the Centurion badge, there are two things that will require some attention. It does look like you still have some return edge that can be removed from the wrist end of your fore arms, this is an easy fix. And the other thing. This cut out looks about half the size of the one you made on the opposite side of the kidney plate. I would recommend trimming it up a little higher to match the other. Opposite side comparison Get these two requests sorted and the badge is yours.

Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Excellent job overall on this armour, the change in strapping certainly has it sitting better on you, but just keep tweaking those butt straps. Sometimes a heavier gauge of elastic has been known to make a difference in holding parts tighter together. Good to see all the upgrades the Anovos requires, come together, you look fantastic. Congratulations Trooper, continue to make Garrison Tyranus proud!!

Ok, Ok alI I am seeing here is accusation and some kind of empty threats starting to appear. Seriously guys, if there is no more substantial proof and further images etc, and you can't play nice, I can see this thread being locked. Am I opposed to recasting, yes. Am I in support of substantiated claims, yes, but this " you get what you deserve" behavior, seriously, take it to PM's. I believe in a system where people are innocent until proven guilty, so if this cannot be carried out in an adult like fashion, I will call to have this locked down.

Hey Gabriel, thank you for your EIB application, let's get to it. CRL and Expert Infantry Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted. Great looking build trooper . Your armor meets all the requirements for Expert Infantry. Sly and myself would like to congratulate you on a job well done. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: You have put together a very nice set of armor, with only a few minor details that need some attention, so we will start with the one that stands out to us the most. Drop Box positioning: The drop boxes need to be aligned with the ends of the plastic ammo belt and they should hang just below it, if not touching the base as in the image below yours. Reference photo Back Plate to Kidney plate connection: In this image, it appears to overlap. In this one, a large gap opens up So we see here that the problem stems from the Anovos Velcro strapping system. Its definitely not my choice in strapping as there are better systems available, but to rectify the current gaps and overlaps, you need to bring the two pieces of armor together so the bottom of the back plate is touching the top of the back plate as there is two much slack between the parts. Shorten up those straps. Cover Strips: Some of your cover strips are just a little long and could be trimmed back to finish at the edge of the armor. Centurion Suggestions: Ab and Kidney rivet positioning: This one is a must fix. Unfortunately you have placed the bottom rivet down on the cod section. It needs to remain on the Ab area as in the image below. Fear not, this isn't a hard fix. You will need to make up some ABS paste using small scraps of ABS mixed in a jar with acetone. This melts the ABS into a tooth past like consistency, which you then fill the holes with, and when it sets sand it with fine sand paper, then wet & dry, and finally some Novus polish. Many FISD members have made and used ABS paste so i am more than positive you will get help and more advise on how to proceed. Thermal Det screws: This is just a nice upgrade for accuracy, but they can be changed to Flat blade as opposed to the Philips head screws currently being used. Also for screen accuracy they should be painted black Aside from the above mentioned corrections, you have done a brilliant job with this build. The repairs are well within your capabilities so get to it and hope to see you in Centurion review soon. Again Congratulations.

I use a non stick iron, yep the same one I iron my clothes with. You just hold the abs against it for a few seconds at a time on both sides and keep checking the bend ability, then bend it. It works perfectly every time. I have made quite a few for garrison mates. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
