  1. Hi Joe We require a photo of the back of your E11 showing the D ring, it does look as though from the side shots, youare missing this. It forms part of the CRL requirement for EIB. If you don't have one, could you please organise and then re submit a photo showing the D ring. As per CRL D-ring mounted on the rear. Thanks Joe, and nice build by the way
  2. Hi Aaron , thank you for your EIB application, lets take a closer look. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been posted and your armor meets all EI requirements. Ukswath and I would like to welcome you to the level of Expert Infantry, Congratulations!. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section, we go over observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Any suggestions made that would affect an application will be made in the above and below sections. Its never easy hand painting a TK helmet, and my utmost respect goes out to those that do. You have done a good job of this, but there are just a couple of little things we would like you to tidy up. In the below photo your front trap the bottom should finish straight across and be parallel to the top line of the trap. It looks as though yours starts to come down at an angle first, before disappearing under the brow trim. Generally fixing up paint jobs isn't too hard on ABS. I use a toothpick dipped in Mineral turpentine and scratch the paint away, then clean up and repaint. Another thing that is hard to determine w from the photo, is where the paint should finish. If we look at the image below we can see that the painted areas finish at the bottom of the indent where the ridge wall starts. The paint doesn't go up those small steps. This ones only a photo issue as it has probably moved around while kitting up. Your right shin is rotating outwards and out of alignment. If you find this happens a fair bit, placing some foam pieces in the front at either side will stop the twisting. Alternatively there are various stirrup systems you can make that stop the twist, but also stop the shins from ridding up. It might pay to try and shorten the straps between your Butt plate and kidney plate as much as you can, you could also apply some heat to try and curve it a bit more to the contour of your body. Possibly even wearing the belt lower at the back so it wraps level around you will stopp the plate popping out to the degree it currently is. Centurion Suggestions: Well you've got this far, we certainly hope you will go all the way. This is the section where we do our best to get you ready for a Centurion application. From what we can see in your application, really its only the things we have mentioned in the above section that can get you looking truly remarkable, so we would definitely love those areas remedied for any future centurion application. Make sure you follow the CRL for level 3 closely, and include all required submission photos. Well, yet again congratulations Aaron,Tony and I hope to see you in the Centurion application section soon.
  3. Hey Gabriel!! thank you for your Centurion application, and thank you for making the suggested updates from your EIB application. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All submission photos are present and your armor meets all the Centurion requirements. Ukswrath and myself would like to congratulate you on a job well done. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we make suggestions mentioned by your fellow troopers, and ourselves. We are happy to report, there is nothing add here. Excellent work! You did a great job on relocating those rivets as well.
  4. G'day Kai, thanks for your application, lets dive in!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been posted, and your armour meets all requirements as set out in the Lvl 2 CRL, congratulate and welcome to Expert Infantry. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: What an awesome job you have done with this build, and nice upgrade to the CFO Hovi tips, we definitely approve. There are a couple of things that will help continue your quest of excellence, as it is clear you have an eye for detail. We have a few fitting sugestion that should make wearing this kit more comfortable, plus we will make mention of Centurion requierments in that section below. Ok we will start with how your back, kidney and butt plates sit and what we think will get you the best you can look result. This one is mentioned in the CRL for Level 2 (EIB)and will need some attention as we think it will help change the way your butt plate sits as well. For level two certification (if applicable): Back plate shall have no, or minimal overlap of the Kidney plate. So, you have what would be considered a minimal overlap If you were to trim some of the shoulder section back on each side of the back plate, and remove the inner return edge that arcs around the neck Then shorten up the elastic from chest to back, the back plate will then sit higher, and eliminate the overlap. If enough comes off, then you can bring the kidney plate up and in-turn the butt plate will also sit a bit higher. Most of your cover strips are spot on but the fore arms needs to be a little longer and the end can be trimmed at an angle. Other side of fore arms. Also in this photo we see your butt plate popping out. If you reduce the width of the return edge by at least 50% and then try some gentle heat bending of the sides, it should sit better on you. As it looks at the moment, your thighs look to be sitting almost too high and under the butt plate as well. Drp the height down to give a better range of motion. The Velcro strapping might not be helping matters with the butt plate either so perhaps upgrading to snap plates and elastic could also do the trick. Some reshaping of the bottom of the shins will also get you looking the best you can and that just walked off the set look. They appear as though they might damage your boots over a period of time. Centurion Suggestions: In this section, we do our best to make sure you are prepared for the next level. but sometimes unfortunately, there are things we cant see. These cover strips are probably the thing we most want to see tidied up As we see it you have two options. 1. Remove the return edge and trim the high corners off the elbow end of the fore arms, or 2. make longer cover strips but still remove some of the return edging, specially those sharp corners. As you see in the image of an original suit below, virtually all return edges were removed, and the parts line up at the ends. One of the things we cant see in your images is the 6 side rivets. This is a centurion requirement, so please follow the CRL carefully, make your adjustments and inclusions, and we shall see you again in the future. Excellent build and again, congratulations.
  5. Hi May Wayne, thank you for your application to EIB, lets get to it!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been posted and your armor meets all EI requirements. We would like to welcome you to the level of Expert Infantry, Congratulations!. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Wow This armour fits you beautifully, and is almost faultless in construction. It was a pleasure to review. Thank you for a great paint job on the frown, it tapers so well. We see in your thread, that you are already making more accuracy finishing touches to the eyes and replacing the ear screws, this make tony and I very happy to see. Basically you are leaving us with almost nothing more to add Ok the only thing we can pinpoint would be just to check the strapping between you back and kidney plate, and possibly add two outer straps to stop the plate from popping out at each side. Centurion Suggestions: Here is where we try our best to spot things that may require adjustment or change. It is obvious that you set out this build with Centurion as your goal, keep up the good work, and we shall see you in Centurion.
  6. Could we please get a clear photo of the cod rivet and snaps from the outside, can only see from internal strapping . Thank you
  7. Hi Gabriel Any chance you could shorten up those top shoulder bell straps so the bells are virtually touching the shoulder bridges. They look a lot further away in your centurion app than they did in this centurion app. Please once done add an extra photo suited up so we can see they are sitting where they should. Great work by the way, I'm just waiting on this one little thing and i can post up your review. Many thanks
  8. Hey Nick welcome to your EI review, lets get into it!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for level 2. Welcome to Expert Infantry trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Great job on the armour Nick, your looking shiny and white. We have a few fitment and adjustment suggestions for you, some to get you looking your best, and some that will need to be fixed to get you on the way to Centurion. Also we will mention the little things that can be done to upgrade the Anovos kit to even better screen accuracy. Lets start with some simple strap adjusting. We will cover 3 points with the image below. Back to kidney plate: these are separating on your left side, possibly moved during the photo taking process. We are finding that the supplied Velcro strapping system can be the cause of some misalignment, so the quick fix is to shorten the strap /tighten up the Velcro. We also think the right shoulder bridge could be sitting flat as is the left, and may have shifted during the photo shoot as well. In this same photo below we also see the cover strips over the top ridge of the shins. These should finish at the base of the top ridge as per the reference image underneath. It would be great if you could correct this one for your Centurion application. Shin reference image Your thighs look to be sitting almost on top of your shins, this cant be easy to walk around in, so raising the height by reducing the length of strapping they are attached too will sort it. We did notice you have a fair amount of return edge left in the tops of the thighs, so if they are tight fitting, reducing that will give some wiggle room and help them sit higher as well. Blaster looks great, but some black paint on the charging lever and just a touch of weathering will go a long way. Remember with weathering, Less is more. Work in progress::: Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. This is also where we try and get you in the best possible position for a successful Centurion application. There are a few things that will need change or adjustment as per the Lvl 3 CRL so lets take a look. Your drop boxes appear to move around a bit in your photos. These need to be in alignment with the ends of the plastic ammo portion of the belt For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. They can be affixed to the canvas belt using adhesive Velcro or even a dab of glue to keep them in the correct position Reference image Bellow are some suggested upgrades to nail the overall accuracy of you beautiful armor. The finishing touches that can make all the difference if you are chasing perfection Hovi meshin this kit is a little fine, so changing it out with a larger type is an option. We know some of the guys have cut out mesh from wire strainers to get a closer match to the originals. Reference image. The Anovos supplied screws for both the ears and the Thermal Det can also be changed to the correct type. They should be V head or counter sunk slotted style. Where as on the thermal det, they should be slotted pan head variety. Also painting them black gives the perfect finishing touch. You have really done a wonderful job on this build, with only a few minor adjustments, centurion is within your grasp. Would be really great to see that blaster finished with some weathering too. Congratulations again Nick on a job well done., and hope to see you in Centurion review soon.
  9. Yes buddy, I was referring to you Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. I run Firefox and sometimes it does glitch, I will check it out later today and see if I am getting the same result. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Well done Kman, looking forward to your Centurion application. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. As Glen said above, yep that first terrifying cut, then after that you wonder what all the fuss was about. Just take your time and everything will work out fine. Good luck and keep us updated on your progress. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Hi Nick, the guys are giving you some great advise. If you could close up that gap and fix the shoulder bridge position to the back plate and submit a new photo, that would be great. We are catching up and will be onto your review shortly, the cleaner the better. Great job by the way. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Hey Stephen, Thank you for updating your pictures and for your EIB application. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted. Ukswrath and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to Expert Infantry. Great job! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we'll discuss observations made by Ukswrath and myself that are suggestions to improve the overall final look of your armor. These suggestions will not affect your application. We have a few areas that we think could use a little TLC. We noticed in several of your photos, that your drop boxes tend to move around, so we highly recommend you secure them in the correct position aligned with the ends of the plastic portion of the ammo belt. You can use Velcro or even glue the elastic straps to the canvas belt. Reference image It appears that your armour may require some foam padding on the inside of the Kidney and Ab plates, as the two halves are overlapping concealing the rivets of the Ab plate. These are clearly visible with correctly fitted armour, so some experimenting is needed to get it to sit just right. Centurion Suggestions: In this section Uks, myself or your fellow troopers may suggest required or recommended repairs prior applying for the Centurion level however, the accuracy it is ultimately up to the trooper. Please have a good practice playing around with image uploading programs like Photobucket and Imgur If planning on a Centurion application, (and we most certainly hope you are, and should), there are many more details that require clear and larger images than those supplied in this application. Thumbnail or small sized images make it a little difficult for us to make appropriate suggestions to fixes as not all details are clear. There are quite a few extra photos needed in a Centurion application and it would be highly recommended to use a new set of images in the larger format. Definitely make sure you Ab plate rivets are visible and the Ab and kidney plates are aligned for your side on photos as mentioned in the above section. Follow the CRL and the Centurion photo check list, and you cant go wrong. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/22605-centurion-application-photo-checklist/ Congratulations once again on a nice build sir, and we shall see you in Centurion review soon.
  15. I would suggest that their supply based on demand needs major improvement before they consider opening to larger markets. Still many dissatisfied customers waiting on armour or replacement to damaged or poorly manufactured products. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Continuation of Centurion application Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Very nice job Indeed, great fir and balance, you can be very proud of your accomplishment. Welcome to Centurion rank Congratulations and get a Trooping
  17. Wow, nice job, we will be with you as soon as possible. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Hi Blake. Virtually all the apps we have done that required shims, we're all bonded to the kidney plate, and the elastic attached to the ab. This is replicating how it would be attached if shims were not required. Looking forward to your Centurion app brother, I know you will smash it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Hello Blake, thank you for your application to EIB, so lets see what we have!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been posted. Thank you for your perseverance on this. That said Ukswrath and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to the level of Expert Infantry. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Well this has come together quite nicely Blake, so we only have a few things to cover off to get you looking your best and prepare you for Centurion There are some strapping and alignment adjustments and a couple of minor modifications for this section, nothing too drastic. Your side shims and Rivet placing we will discuss in the Centurion section below. Shoulder Bell top straps: These need some shortening to bring the top of the bells right in. They should be almost, if not touching the side of the shoulder bridges, in turn this will close up some of the gap between the chest and bells as well. Shoulder reference. Thigh Cover strips: The cover strips are meant to finish at the edge of the ridge and not go over the top of it. You should be able to carefully trim these shorter without removing them but if you have used E6000, then removing them first is the safer option. Cover strip reference. Internal Strapping: I'm not a fan of the Anovos supplied Velcro strapping system and we think this is why you may get such a large Back to kidney plate separation happening. I would shorten up the straps between these two parts as it also appears that it allows other parts to come out of alignment as well. In some of your photos the Ab plate looks too low or the kidney plate has slipped upwards causing your side shims to become misaligned Other than that, its a great EIB application. Centurion Suggestions: In this area we make suggestions to prepare you for your Centurion badge. We get a bit more picky here. Below are some suggestions and some must fix items to get you across the line. If you are gunning for the finer details, we will first look at a few little upgrades than make a big difference to your overall look. Thermal Det screws should be painted black, but also slotted pan head screws used rathr than Philips head counter sunk type. Thermal Det reference image for screw type and painted black. Ear screws although slotted, should be the v head or counter sunk variety. Reference image. Frown: the ends should taper to a point on either side rather than stop short and square off. Below is a series of frowns from various screen used helmets . Also a larger mesh format for the Hovis is the perfect finishing touch. Frown reference Hovi mesh reference Centurion required fixes: Ok know we are down to the must fix modification that needs some serious work to get you into a good place for a Centurion application. Rivet placement, should all be in the Ab area, unfortunately you have placed the lowest down on the cod section. This will also effect the position of the center rivet, as it too would need to be moved upward to keep even spacing between the three on the Ab and kidney plate or shim. Generally its the kidney plate that the shim is attached to and the rivets placed at the end that adjoins the ab plate. The shim should be the same height as the kidney plate allowing the correct corresponding rivet positions. Reference image of screen used suit. As per the CRL A single visible seam line is present.. As it stands, you have two visible seam lines. So lets look at how to fix it. I would start again with this shim and cut a new one to the height of the kidney plate from the top of the cut out. Attach it to the kidney plate and make upsome ABS paste to fill that seam line. ABS paste is made by mixing small off cuts of ABS with a small amount of acetone in a glass jar. The accetone will melt the ABS. you want a consistency similar to toothpaste. I am sure if you ask around one of our friendly members will go through the process thoroughly with you. Smear it onto the seam. let it set, then sand and polish it. Remove the rivets from the kidney plate and the center and bottom rivets from the Ab/cod, and fill those holes with ABS paste. re position the rivets as per the screen image above, and we are back in business. Lastly, the thin Anovos belt will need to be replaced with a stiffer thicker one, maybe from one of our members that make a much better and accurate version. We understand the above might sound daunting, but with a little care and attention, you can do this, we have faith in you, after all you built the costume, you have the skill set to nail it. Once again, congratulations and we ope to see you in Centurion in the near future.
  20. Looking forward to seeing the updates, we will be here so no rush.
  21. Hi Toni, thank you for your Centurion application, lets take a look!! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos are present but before we can award you the Centurion badge, there are two things that will require some attention. It does look like you still have some return edge that can be removed from the wrist end of your fore arms, this is an easy fix. And the other thing. This cut out looks about half the size of the one you made on the opposite side of the kidney plate. I would recommend trimming it up a little higher to match the other. Opposite side comparison Get these two requests sorted and the badge is yours.
  22. Hey Sean, thank you for your application for Centurion, lets hit it!! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All submission photos are present. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Centurion, that said congratulations and welcome to the rank. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: You have a beautiful set of armour Sean. The fore arm positioning is now perfect, thanks for making the adjustment. All that hard work has finally paid off, so know you can stand tall alongside your fellow Centurion recipients. Congrats and see you in the soup!!
