The designing of it is, the ordering of it alas is not. It will take weeks to choose a design and have them made, so fear not

OK guys - we've tried to get a good design for a large FISD patch that one can put on the back of a jacket but have not gotten anything that was stellar yet, so I'm opening this up to the general membership. This would be for a 10" or 11" multi-color patch. Nice to haves: 1) Something that shows each costume we cover 2) Some text to state that this is our 5th anniversar year I'm really intersted to see what people come up with

And contributions to the ICN, the TKC, the SkyTrooper, we could go on. Hope you have a good one

As you can see FISD is taking this costume *very* seriously. Rest assured we're working with the LMO to ensure we have our ducks in a row on this one so when the first costume is complete it will be an easy entry. For now, the approach is to have the CRL be basic standards and save the fine details for EI/Centurion. We think this is a better approach then the tradidtion one taken for EU where every last detail must be perfect out of the box. We'll know soon though - this is exciting work Mason

The queen of the handguards deserves a special place in the heart of FISD. Have a very happy birthday Karin

I think we should just defer status and ask for more pix j/k - an easy pass I think - you look awesome -
Curious about the O2 canister
Daetrin replied to Darth Hilarious's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
In hindsight I think we should have allowed it via screen caps. It simply can't be done with a regular sandy backpack as Brian points out, but it's certainly possible that someone could make a more screen sized pack and still have the TD. -
FYI I updated the first post directly to correct some issues, such as the frown needing to be black, and also... 1. Ab buttons - the picture is too grainy to ascertain their color at this time. 2. Tears & traps should not simulate hand painting - only ANH is that way of all the troopers. 3. Shoulder bell strap may be there for CRL, should be removed for EI and above. 4. Belt - looks 3" to me, but I think we can allow either for CRL 5. Belt color - should allow off-white for CRL, pure white for EI and above 6. TD looks gray to me - will need better pictures to be sure. 7. Pack for Centurion is a bit differnet from the Fett pack seems to me. Still, we are close.

belt drooping problem at holster

This is what I love about forums - there is always a new way to do something it seems every year. This definately has to get posted as a TIP and on the Reception center -

Looking great - ideally next time you'd have some sandtroopers on the beach with you -
belt drooping problem at holster
Daetrin replied to gazmosis's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
Even if it's not in the belt, you can do it on the inside of the belt as it won't be seen. Then either a snap or velcro to the ab plate... -

More info from the Legion thread... More pictures... Summary: "The jetpack is basically a Jango arena pack' date=' minus the missile heads. It is a standard TK bucket and you will need to fit the hoses in the same way you would a TI helmet. It is in fact similar to a TI chest box and an AT-AT chest box. " Full description: For the pack: "You're going to have to use a harness and go through the armor, just like a Fett. " -
In March of 2010 we had 100 EI. In the 15 months since we've grown to 172 - that's over 10 a month! This time next year we should be at 300 with no effort, but wouldn't it be cool if we could do it this year? And then you can own it - a special memento for being the first 300. How cool is that?

Best advice always! The Nordic garrison is really doing a great job with builds - and it's good to hear yours will be equally fab

I'm 6'0" and 185lbs, and did not shim anything except the left calf. I actually trimmed material off of the ab & kidney plates on my TE2. I've swapped out the ab plate for an ATA and it fit perfectly, so I'm not sure there is a difference.

Bumpy Cap N back not screen accurate?!
Daetrin replied to LittleOne's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
There can't be anything above Centurion. We could give a prop replication award for costumes that faithfully emulate the actual props but at that point it's not clear that you have a Legion approvable costume anymore. Another good example is clones. You can't have a 100% screen-faithful clone for the very fact that the human head and body can't bend the way they made them on screen in several shots. -
Bumpy Cap N back not screen accurate?!
Daetrin replied to LittleOne's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
The Centurion is meant to go as far as one can with a - now this is the important part - a Legion approved costume. The Legion's standards are not modeled on 100% prop replication. While there is much overlap in between prop replicators and the 501st Legion, they are not synonymous as the goals are not the same. -

There are other good sculpters in the Legion...and they do helmets too... -
Bumpy Cap N back not screen accurate?!
Daetrin replied to LittleOne's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Does anyone else have a screen cap then where you can see the bumpiness? I'm curious, as it's one thing to notice it on a prop you are holding in your hands, but can you even notice it on screen? This is a good distinction to make as some aim for one, others the other. -
They are in the process of being added as "should haves", and may someday be "must haves". For the rivet covers on the belt, while the outside ones are required it's a conversation still whether the missing middle one is intentional, or really just a costume flub by the game designer.
